The more I play the more I find. There are certainly some glitches. Missed collisions and such. Definitely an issue with "Life" count etc... so yes, room for improvement for sure. But the overall quality and gameplay overshadows all of that. It really is a fantastic game through and through. Very well executed and thought out. Having a lot of fun with this. I also find that starting on easy and working your way up from there is the best way to go. You are slowly conditioned to the higher difficulties which works for me. And considering you get to the more difficult levels with a higher score from the easier levels, I think it's the only way to get the highest scores possible. Well done Vorticon. I'm in this race. I just need to set aside the proper amount of time. Pausing the game last night and returning to the same game this morning is not a good strategy. LOL

I think we should all do that with our highscores at the end of the month. I'd hate to spam them every few days as I plan to vastly improve my score as the month rolls on...

My first gameplay ever and I got the leaderboard high score playing on easy using PC Keyboard via USBKeys on real iron. This is going to be fun... To be fair, it took me a while to realize that I needed to grab the key with the paddle. Thank you David and everyone else listed in the game's credits.

Just wanted to report in. I upgraded my dsr without issue. Upgraded from 1.0beta016 to 018 Pressed R)eload and it hung (as expected) until at some point the PI-Version updated Pressed R)eload again and it reloaded with the correct version. checked web interface and saw two file updated. Pressed re(B)oot and waited until web interface became responsive again. Pressed Q)uit got to title screen 1 then 1 to TI BASIC CALL TIPI - it loads fine but I did notice that it takes a tad longer than usual to populate the Pi-Version and the IP. Also noticed an odd socket on the eprom socket once the chip was removed. Innards bent up weird but the chip reinserted fine - i don't think it's related to load time and I didn't count the pins to find out what pine socket it was. just noting it here. I have powered off then on again at everything works as usual with the same delay to populate those two fields (PI-Ver & IP). That is all. Now it's time to Break Free for a little bit..

This isn't just my PC keyboard. It's not even just my PC keyboard the I use with emulation. It is also my real iron TI keyboard connected to my 99/4a via a KVM and Jedi Matt's USBkeys adaptor. It's connected to one of my two TIs - the other is original connected to a modified PEB, this keyboard connects to my modified console with F18a and TiPi. It used to have a real console strip across the top but due to spaces in the PC keyboard function keys (every 4 keys) it was a terrible bother being misaligned. To some, this is a minor adjustment. To me, it's a glorious enhancement. No, it's not a real plastic strip, it's a paper cut out applied using double-sided scotch tape.

There's nothing stopping you from taking it further beyond the 4k limit. I mean, the original game at 4k served its purpose (the 4k competition) but now, you are unbound by rules. Oh, and uhm...Dragon's Laire? LOL

Yep. I was deceived when I purchased this property and had my home built. The local cable company refuses to bring service up this way without petitions signed by X-Amount of neighbors who are already sick and tired of signing said petitions and still no service. Verizon DSL is the only game in town and they charge a buttload for this crap connection.

Well facebook now allows for link sharing to the general public without a facebook account. That's what that link is. No one needs an account to view that gallery. the only reason I haven't added them to the galleries here is all the damn uploads. I have real shitty internet 1up/3down in a house full of computers, gadgets, smartphones and smart TVs.

I think it's best to ignore the highscores being posted and just have fun playing, then posting your highscore when you've played it out (if possible) - At least that's what I'm going to tell myself next month. I don't want to know what the best players are doing LOL....*sniff*....*wahhhhh* nah, definitely LOL.

I imagined using it a lot more once it went up for sale just because of the added users. Life has taken a strange twist for me so I must face it head on. I hope to be very active again soon, after all, I've got several games I wanted to make for TiPi. I've already got some TI files hosted on my website that i can load from (nothing no one else doesn't already have) but need to get with cory about the server side stuff. unfortunately, those steps are at least a couple of months away as i get myself sorted IRL.

Well it damn near gave me a heart attack LOL! There's still a few days left on the clock. I think I maybe able to crank out a better score but for the most part, I believe Vorticon clinched this one.

The competition is incredibly intimidating. I don't know what happened but I was on a board with another dood up top and moving holes. I died for no reason halfway through on my last life and that's enough for me. can't do that again. I'm guessing my player suffered a severe heart attack. Not something i can bet against in a video game. Best I'm gonna get.

The mist is an abandoned project. You're better off sticking with rPi and Amibian as those aren't going anywhere anytime soon. Or just use winuae on PC.

I'd love to see something tied into the pi so that you can get an actual email if you get msg'ed while off-line. 8D
