  1. Take a look at Amibian - https://gunkrist79.wixsite.com/amibian
  2. OK, I'm convinced, I have to RTFM - this is the first time i have ever seen let alone used TI-Artist and using the TiPi mouse drier with it. Is pretty easy to figure out but in using the alphanumeric feature I couldn't figure out a "BackSpace" function and inadvertently discovered how to resize the font on the fly. So this very first image ever is garbage. Thank you so much for this guys. It aint photoshop but it's still fun to use. I can't wait until i come to grips with it. some interesting TI-Art will be the result. Now if only I can figure out how to get that TI slideshow to work with the TI-Artist Art - hat's be cool. Anyway, TTFN. Gonna go play around with TiPi a bit. Last time I tried, CHATTI wasn't working well for me so time to try again. I'm well aware of how to spell TI-Artist BTW - I was just goofing off playing with the tools or I would never have uploaded this. LOL EDIT: I wanted to use one of each feature and label it - then I missed the "N" in "Lines" and went bonkers.
  3. Why isn't "A small furry rodent" and option on every question? I refuse to take this poll until that is fixed.
  4. So since last update I sanded the tower and gave it another coat of paint. Almost done, still some minor touch up to complete that I only notice when taking photos under lighted conditions. Some photos under bright light, some (the much darker ones) are under natural lighting conditions. I see some are getting uploaded sideways again. i don't know why this only happens on AA but it's too much trouble to deal with at this moment. If there is a way to rotate them here, i don't know how to do it.
  5. I just wanted to report success with this adaptor in programming a 27c400 chip in the miniPro TL866.
  6. There's currently no way to do that however; if you download a dsk file from whtech you can open it with TIImageTool or TI99DIR and copy the files from inside the DSK to a folder in windows. Then use the TIPI web interface to upload those files to where you want them so that TIPI will convert them properly in the case they are not natively TIFiles.
  7. And I'm pretty certain there is a limit to how long that line can become.
  8. Tested HXCFEUSB_V3_1_22_2a on USB GoTek: The follow pre-existing DSK images were checked using the following method without issues: GameOfUr.dsk reported as 40-track Karateka.dsk reported as 40-track FrostiSnow.dsk reported as 40-track bouncey.dsk as reported as 40-track TI extended BASIC cartridge inserted. .DSK file selected via GoTek DSK1 device - HxC reports this as a 40 track image. I load a disk catalog program called indexer from physical floppy drive DSK2 Indexer program: I could index DSK1 without issue and run the games. The following images autoload and execute on their own without issue: TIScramble.dsk Bouncey.dsk The following dsk images would not index. The indexer complained about I/O error 26 in 180 2-Bad open Attribute(one or more OPEN option are illegal or do not match file caracteristics) 6-Device error(device not connected,or is damaged. this error can occur during file processing if an accessory device is accidentally disconnected while the program is running) 180 INPUT #1:DISKNAME$,ZERO,DISKSECTORS,FREESECTORS Zombiev45.dsk Freddy.dsk WizardsDoom.dsk The following dsk images I created using TIImageTool without format. Using Disk Manager 2 cartridge: I was able to format (initialize) these disks, copy a file to them and run the file (Indexer). SSSD40.dsk (Single Sided Single Density 40-track dsk image) initialized as such DSSD40.dsk (Single Sided Single Density 40-track dsk image) initialized as such SSSD80.dsk (Single Sided Single Density 80-track dsk image) initialized as such I was not able to initialize DSSD80.dsk (Double Sided Single Density 80-track dsk image) initialization attempted as such Also - HxC reports this image as 40-track. My Floppy disk controller does not support DD format so I cannot test any of those. I'm including all DSK images in the zip file in case anyone else wants to verify my findings. dsk files used.zip
  9. I'm not done testing. I'll submit results to you later today. Been a busy weekend and I really only get to test on weekends. I also misplaced my notes so I have to start again. Reading dsk us one thing. Writing dsk is another. HFE is great for archiving but has additional steps. Dsk is widely supported with existing archives and emulation. For people to use dsk, they can very quickly and without fuss, choose from many dsk files to try out in real iron. Or, make a back up dsk of a real floppy and go direct to emulation or just use dsk on real iron instead of physical media. All of this can be done with hfe but it takes more steps between wanting too use the extensive archives already in existence that are dsk and also emulation that does not support hfe. And with all the divergent variety of floppy disk controllers, I am limited to only those formats my controller supports. So details testing steps and reporting should be thorough. I did not realize firmware versus differ between devices (sd version, usb version etc..) not how many sd versions are in use over usb. I can only test gotek. So I'll have something to report later today on what I can do.
  10. Right now I'm still building up my system but have been starting music and animation on it. Once I get it to where I want it to be, I plan to develop content on it for games I want to make on it using OpenBor and RedPill. I'm just now starting to relearn the system all over again and all the bit ad pieces to install andy why. And how to use them and customize them and make for a nicely running system to do those other things i mentioned. As for "Amiga" gaming. I do 90% of that in emulation. Have very few games on my real miggy now and play them casually when bored, including the emulated ones.
  11. Yeah, That is precisely my issue. My floppy cables are not that long and I don't have longer ones. So just doing that means the drive will get unplugged and I will have to rip everything apart just to get it plugged back in. Not just the floppy cable but the power cable as well. I never intended to have to open the PEB ever again except maybe to add another card or two or three. But never expected to have to access the internal floppy drives.
  12. I don't see any issues being reported so I'm going to assume HxC is working great for those who choose to use DSk files on it (along with HFE). I'm about to jump ship and do the flash floppy for testing. With no way of going back to HxC without a re-purchase I guess I'll be stuck in FF land from now on so fingers crossed. Scratch that idea. In reading the docs I see I would need to change some jumper setting to do the USB to USB upgrade. Since that means I need access to the GoTek jumpers, I opened up my peb and had a look see. I was immediately struck with all the horrors involved in dismantling the P-Box just to gain access to a floppy drive and promptly closed it it. I'm not prepared to take my PEB apart which given the modifications i did would be nothing short of a tedious 30 minute endeavor, then another 30 to put it back together very very carefully and hope I don't break anything along the way. I guess I'm stuck on HxC on my TI and Flashfloppy on my Amiga. At least until I can justify another gotek purchase - then I can connect it externall to the TI for testing but that's not going to happen anytime soon.
  13. You should probably hit up http://eab.abime.net/as well.
  14. Seriously?!?! I'll have to take a look at where the dl is. I've been wanting to play that game since I first saw it demo'ed but other expenses have tasked priority.
  15. I made it pretty far into level 2 today - When I pressed alt print screen to take a screenshot, it started a new game so I can't prove it at the moment) - But I can say this is really a great thing you have done here. I may have noticed some weirdness with hit detection (like not getting killed when I should have) but I would need to record the gameplay then go back to review it again to be sure. which i may do n my next play through.
  16. Recall that when you use the browser your files get automatically converted to TIFiles which is what the TIPI wants. If you drag and drop via windows, you may run into problem if your files are not TIFiles. "TIPI expects all files to be in TIFILES format. If you use the 'upload' feature from TIPI's web ui, it will auto-convert v9t9 FIAD files (such as HDX files) to TIFILES format. You can also use programs like Ti99Dir, or TiImageTool or xdm99 to convert whatever format you have into TIFILES." - SOURCE: Transfering files:http://ti994a.cwfk.net/TIPI.html
  17. Sweet! I WILL play with this over the weekend, you'll know when you start seeing my artwork posts.
  18. Custom install of OS3.9 is a work in progress. See it boot up - >>>HERE<<<
  19. I can't bid on this but someone with a PEB might want to. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Epson-SD-800-SD-700-3-5-5-25-Combo-Dual-Internal-Floppy-Disk-Drive-FDD/192505117799?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D49138%26meid%3Ddd51d51c6ecd443ca46a13408da25749%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D183173173787%26itm%3D192505117799&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851
  20. I'm all for PDF printing as a step1. Have a directory on the pi that tipi prints PDFs to and I can access from PC - Proof of concept working model is definitely a welcomed step.
  21. Super Sketch anyone? https://www.ebay.com/itm/1984-PPI-Super-Sketch-BOX-TI99-TI-99-TI-Texas-Instruments-TI-99-4A-Computer/152870509479?_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIM.MBE%26ao%3D2%26asc%3D44040%26meid%3D2fcd121622204edaa0e2822696ba77f7%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D6%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D292509578819%26itm%3D152870509479&_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851
  22. A DOS like screen asking for login credentials which you should change. defaults are Pi/Raspberry I believe.
  23. I'm very excited about this mouse driver. My hope is that once it's ready for prime-time, there will be a section added to the TiPi webpage on how to set it up and use it step by step.
  24. My original need was pre-finalGrom99. I wanted to have a cartridge port switcher that would work with TI Extended BASIC, Editor Assembler and FlashROM99 carts inserted leaving one port free to switch any cart in and out like games or other programs I might need to use. Saving wear and tear on the console's port. Since FG99 came out, the immediate need for this is practically none with the exception of the few carts out there that Don't/Won't work with FG99 or that are currently sold and DO NOT have distributable bin files for the finalGrom99 like Break Free and Dragon's Lair when it's done (looking at you Tursi). I am not very good with a prototype of a million wires and solder points so I put this on hold, indefinitely; until I can figure out how to make the PCB with Jumper Pins to connect my custom switches and solder the rest of the components to. I now have a NAVARON 3 port switch thanks to Vorticon but my understanding is there are a lot more carts out there that do not work with this particular device. I plan to take it apart temporarily and measure all the traces, holes and spacings with my digital caliper so I have some data to create my own PCB once I learn how to use PCB creation software. It's a long list of things I don't know yet and between the TI and Amiga scenes, too much going on to stop and make the necessary time to learn and produce anything at the moment. I'm easily distracted by shiny things that go beep boop boop beep.
