  1. Say, are you talking to me personally? Or is this a general statement?
  2. Will the mouse driver detect the mouse in any port? Cuz then it could remain in port 2 while the standard controller is in port 1 and stays there... which makes me think... wouldnt even a trakball be possible then? I play Star Wars on a cabinet with a PC running mame inside using a trakball (also Space Harrier...) and this really works very well. Not to even mention games like Arkanoid... or Missile Command.
  3. Such a mouse driver could also work well for Carrier Command. Starglider... OIDS (no, kidding, just wanted to mention OIDS... oh, did it again, haha)
  4. Indeed, just like there was for Syndicate. If I remember correctly there was an official mission pack for PC, later an Amiga version was sold on a single disk by Amiga Format. Some said its unplayable and too difficult. I only played the main game and liked it loads. I never really tried the Jag version although I have it and like the better overview of this version. But the pad... there is this mouse adapter that was once developed for this Ocean Depth game which I also have. With all the developments being made recently, wouldnt it be possible to also hack a mouse driver into it?
  5. There were extra missions available for EPIC? Only bought and played the ST version on my trusty STE... this game was so close to Battlestar Galactica, even the ship designs, then the rag tag fleet crawling through space...
  6. By the way, how are you dealing with multiple disks? Can one only convert games that came on single disks or could you somehow bypass the swapping process?
  7. I am repeating myself. Awesome. Are you converting games that you liked? Those that mean something to you? Or simply go and pick whatever you find? Brosed old games mags an hour ago. EPIC was a great space shooter. I even like it better than BS
  8. Truly unbelievable. Say, does anybody remember Midwinter oder Hunter? Can´t these be considered to be the first true open-world games?
  9. Imagine to play classic Infocom adventures on the jag haha (i am a fan and like the idea but playing them with a pad....). Hm, then again di anybody ever think of those classic Lucasarts games? Monkey Island 1, Loom, Indy 4?
  10. Hard to imagine that we´ve spent hours and hours with this in the 80s. We could have done so many other things....
  11. Wow, memories... OIDS OIDS OIDS hahaha Hope AA brings them to cart soon
  12. Walter_j64bit, these games you are after can best be played on the Lynx. The ports there are awesome and true to the original.
  13. Thanks for the reply, Welshwarrior. This makes it a little more plausible for me.
  14. Since Atarian63 asked about the sound of Arkanoid - what is the reason for so many games / demos / ports not having any sound? I am thinking of Native, Starglider II, Pac-Mania... is putting sound in so difficult or was the conversion process so exhausting that people simply lost interest once the stuff was working on screen?
  15. Awesome CJ. Which ones will come out first? And is AA taking any preorders? And by the way, Oids would be such a great port 8-))) And did ever anybody mention the superb ST version of Out Run?
  16. Got my REBOOTEROIDS yesterday. On Christmas eve.... What a present. This is such a great game. I am using one of Nic Persijns rotary controllers. Have only played 3 rounds or so but like it a lot. The music reminds me of Daft Punks TRON Legacy OST, i hope there will be some more sounds. And maybe some more game elements and surprises. But so far this is the best remake of the classic Asteroids I have ever played. I have read this comment somewhere and can only agree. This is a great game and I also liked Al to throw in three buttons and a magnetic fridge sticker!
  17. And does anybody remember TURRICAN? This was a fantastic game! Parts 1 & 2 were available for the ST on one disk only. These should also be portable IMHO
  18. I ordered Rebooteroids straight away and I am eagerly waiting. Hope it arrives anytime soon. Now if one can also convert OIDS to the Jag.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oids There was a new Macintosh version released about 10 years ago with a higher screen resolution which made some nasty parts of some levels better playable. this is about the only enhancements I would wish for. A higher screen res than the original ST version
  19. I will buy all the releases just to support the efforts of those who are willing to spend their spare time to bring us those games. Maybe AtariAge could think of a subscription system?
