  1. Xbox 360. I can afford a Wii, but I can't find one! I cannot justify spending that much money on a PS3...yet.
  2. Godammit! I still can't manage to find one anywhere. I would have thought they would be everywhere by now. I still don't see any DSs available around here, either. I guess as soon as they come in, they go right out the door. I have never even seen the nunchuck attachment or an extra Wii-mote available for sale.
  3. You really can't use a thumb drive? Even to move a file to a PC for storage? That's a bit insane. I guess I haven't tried it yet.
  4. Yeah, that's not in this version. When the credits rolled it was roughly 2:07:00 into the movie, so I would say this is the original cut. I'm pretty positive.
  5. You know, I think this is the original version. I downloaded it yesterday and watched about half of it, so far. It definitely is not the Director's Cut that was released on DVD, and I don't think this is the extended TV version, either. Anyone know what the main differences between those versions are? Maybe something that would really stand out and be totally obvious? My mind is not always the best at picking out the differences. I tend to forget what scene goes with which version. I'm pretty sure that this is the actual original cut, though. It seems like things that were in the TV version are missing. The Xbox Live marketplace has this one listed at 130 min. I haven't timed it out yet, as I fell asleep last night. Maybe tonight. And why the hell are these downloads so slow through Xbox Live? I mean sure, it's 1.4 GB, but it took 8-9 hours to complete! There's no immediate satisfaction there!
  6. I went to the Kildeer, IL location and picked up Evil Dead Regeneration(?) and Mortal Kombat Deception for $1.99 each for Xbox. I didn't even really want those to be honest, but figured that they may be worth $2 each. I was more excited to see Justice League Heroes (Xbox) marked down to $19.99. There were a few other titles, but not a whole lot that was interesting, mostly garbage. GBA stuff sucked. Just kids titles for the discount prices.
  7. Speaking of modding Xboxes, does anyone here on the boards perform hard mods for a modest fee? Since I got my 360, I don't really plan to use my original Xbox online any longer, so I would like to have it modded for use with emulators, larger HDD, etc. I assume this can be done without losing my game saves on the current HDD, right? Just tranfered to the new HDD or placed on a disc on something? I'm just looking for someone reputable to help me out, as I don't really have the know-how or the time to learn said know-how.
  8. I don't know. I mean I don't really buy into this theory very much. The games that ought to be in everyone's library are the ones they like. There is no universal list for any system of 'games you must own'. Even for NES there are going to be people who just don't like platformers, so there isn't much reason for them to be seeking out all Mario games for example. I guess what you and the rest of us here could do is take the recommendations here and throw together a list of what games should be in 'my collection specifcally' Okay, I can certainly understand that argument. For example, I'm sure a lot of people consider at least one of the GTA games to be a must-own title. However, I do not own any of the GTA games and most likely will not. They just do not appeal to me. Although I can understand why people do enjoy them and I am impressed with certain aspects of the game design, they just hold no lasting appeal that makes me want to own them and replay them. So, I'm pretty much back to where this started. It's just a matter of opinion and a basis for debate and discussion. There certainly is no list of games that every game collector must have. Of course it is going to vary by the individual's opinion. While I may enjoy Super Mario Land for the fact that I feel it is a unique and unusual entry into the Mario series, someone else may despise it for the same reason. I'm just curious as to what other's opinions may be.
  9. Well, I'm not really looking for recommendations, necessarily. Though there are some games that were mentioned that I have not played that I certainly need to try. What I'm looking for with this topic are opinions of which Game Boy games should be in every gamers library. Like for the NES, you might say that Super Mario Bros., The Legend of Zelda, etc. are must own games. And while I like an NES game like The Karate Kid, there's no way in hell I am ever going to consider that a must-have, must-own NES title that should be in everyone's collection of games. I do think there are some games mentioned above that fall into this category. Donkey Kong 1994 is definitely a must-have. As-is Tetris. Gargoyle's Quest is a game I need to check-out apparently. But other games like the classic arcade ports? I mean the games are good, sure, but they've definitely been done better elsewhere. Like the original arcade versions.
  10. I was reading an article on Super Mario Land in one of the recent issues of Retro Gamer. In the opinion of the writer of the article, not many games for the original monochrome Game Boy are really considered to be classic, must-have games. I was just curious what some of you thought. I, for one, rather enjoy Super Mario Land. I think it is a unique and enjoyable entry into the Mario series. So for me, that is a classic, must-own GB game. Though when I try to think of others, I can't seem to come up with many. Let's say you had a top ten, what would they be? Include Game Boy Color, if you must, but not GBA. Any ideas? Link's Awakening, I'm sure.
  11. I don't know. The mystery has gotten me all fired up! Oooh, baby.
  12. I'm with you! Usually what I end up doing is going with something old and reliable instead of jumping into something new. But then I just end up playing Bionic Commando, Mega Man 2 or some quick sports game to get a fix. In fact, the sports games end up being a problem this way. I play them too often and then never get to anything else. I recently got an Xbox 360 with 4 games. I got NBA 2K7, mainly to play when a friend comes over. I thought it was going to be a problem and I would play it all the time, but it hasn't. I've barely touched that one. I played through Marvel Ultimate Alliance, over the course of a few nights, instead. Maybe I've getting past that sports games quick fix addiction. Of course, I still haven't touched Gears of War or Dead Rising. But, yes. I definitely know what you mean. I personally have around 600 games, not counting emulators and PC games. And I know a lot of people here have thousands more. I think I would go insane trying to choose if I did reach that level. I have the same difficulty trying to choose a movie to watch. I end up wasting so much time trying to choose, that I end up not having enough time to relax and have a good time. It really is pretty stupid.
  13. A few months ago, I sold off several small system collections. Just systems that I never play and had a few games for. I do not regret it in the least. Of course, I am of the opinion that games should be played. For me, there is no sense in owning games just to have them. I still have more games than I will ever truely be able to play. And I bought a 360 and want to add a Wii when I spot one. It depends on the person, but for me, it was a nice cleansing experience. Of course, I still have around 11 systems hooked up...
  14. So, no way to transfer saves from an Xbox to the 360, huh? Anyone know for sure? Other than that, it's great! I can't even get to the new games I got because I keep downloading trials of Live Arcade games!
  15. Okay, I finally joined the current gen race by picking up a 360 the other day. It just seems like there is a lot I don't know about it. No one I know has one. I know as far as customization, you can get/create alternate faceplates, but what else can you do? This is probably a stupid question, but is there any way to transfer Xbox game saves to the Xbox 360? What are the best downloads, currently? I figure to get Gauntlet and I've heard a lot of talk about Geometry Wars. Anyway, I picked up Dead Rising, Gears of War, Marvel Ultimate Alliance and NBA 2K7. I haven't played Dead Rising or Gears of War, yet. I just haven't had enough time. Any other games I should keep in mind? Other than Oblivion, which I will likely pick up eventually. Oh yeah! Can you import your own avatar?
  16. I actually did not see a 360 around here until April. And that was a Core system. I'm not really expecting to see a PS3 or Wii here for a while, either. Just too damn many people.
  17. That was a good story! Ironic that you were able to purchase items that your stepfather most likely did unpack many years prior to that. But I honestly don't know if I could have ever shopped there again if they had done that to my father. But hey, that's just how it goes, unfortunately.
  18. Okay, the CV USB Multi has been paid for and shipped. Haven't heard from the party interested in the 5200 Multi for about a week, so that's not looking so good. I'll probably give them until Sunday. If I do not hear from them, it's back up for grabs. So, definitely make me an offer. Just looking to sell it at this point.
  19. Both the 5200 Multi and the CV USB Multi are on hold pending payments. If anything falls through, a message will be posted here.
  20. Okay, the Atari 5200 MultiCart is officially on hold pending payment. The ColecoVision USB Multi is still up for grabs, but not for long. I have a few really nice offers for it. If you want in, you better make it quick!
  21. The iSold It store down the road from me is selling this lot: http://cgi.ebay.com/SET-OF-16-COLECOVISION...1QQcmdZViewItem I'd never seen this game, honestly. A little less common, I guess? I'm not really in the market for it right now, but I thought someone else might be.
  22. Nothing wrong with either of these. Sorry, I'm not really interested in trades at this point, as I am beginning to develop a clutter phobia. Plus, I could use the cash. Here's what I've got: 128-in-1 USB Flash Multi-Cart for ColecoVision This is the Atarimax version that was discussed in this thread: http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?s...c=83356&hl= I've only used it maybe 2 or 3 times. It has a few scuffs on the back, I guess because an old shell was used when making this, as I did not damage it in any way. It works perfectly. I will include the USB cable, documentation and installation CD. The installation CD that I have is one of the bad discs that was mentioned in the thread above. You can simply download the corrections that are linked in that same thread, however, and you'll be good to go. Next... Atari 5200 128-in-1 MultiCart It features the following: ATARI 5200 MultiCart gamelist A.E. Just a standard pre-loaded MultiCart. Again, a few scuffs on the cartridge, but nothing serious. It works great and has only been used a few times. I had issues trying to use this on my 2-port 5200 and had to switch out the BIOS on my 2-port with 4-port BIOS. Or something like that, my mempry is a bit hazy. Anyway, this should be fine on a 4-port system, but maybe not a 2-port. Please keep that in mind. Okay, so just PM me with an offer on one or both and I'll get back to you. I'll most likely take the best offer that comes in within 5-7 days. You can PayPal me, or send a money order. I haven't done much trading here, so feel free to check my eBay feedback, which is 234 - 100% Positive. I'm zombiecraig on eBay. Again, just PM me if you're interested. Thanks, Craig
