Gumshoe, Freedom Force and Gotcha! are all Zapper games. And Wild Gunman. There are others, too. Barker Bill's Trick Shooting, To The Earth. I'm guessing you can use the gun on Operation Wolf and Chiller. And The Adventures of Bayou Billy has gun levels

I'm not sure if I have ever seen this mentioned here before, but has anyone ever tried using one of those Mr. Clean Magic Erasers to remove unsightly writing from your cartridges? Well, today I gave it a shot with mixed results. I chose to try it on a copy of Batman for the NES. This was the most written on cartridge in my collection and it always annoyed me. So, I whip out the Magic Eraser and begin scrubbing away, avoiding the label of course. It was mostly just a lot of Sharpie writing and a few scuffs of different colors. But no matter what I tried (Goo Gone, etc.), I could never get rid of it completely. The Magic Eraser, however, did remove all of it! But at what cost? Well, very little cost as far as I'm concerned. Although, I don't know what the Magic Erasers actually cost, as it was my wife that purchased them. I do recommend caution. The texture on the area where I scrubbed on the cart is actually somewhat smoothed. It isn't that easy to see, but if you hold it under the lights you will notice it. Overall, I am quite pleased with the results, as I am willing to sacrifice the slight loss of some texture to get rid of horrible names like "Alex Miller".

I agree. I have one and think that it is a terrible piece of hardware. May be okay for Famicom games, but the battery usage is ridiculous. If you want to use it for Famicom games, get an AC or rechargable batteries. I was in Walgreens everyday for a week buying batteries before I decided it was a piece of garbage. It is to good to be true and not worth the hassle for NES play.

How do you catalog your collections?
zombiecraig replied to dvdguy's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I use a program called Game Collector. It is available at www.collectorz.com if I recall correctly. It's not bad, though you do have to pay for it. But they do update it fairly frequently. I just found an update today, in fact. -
Are you sure there was a Syndicate for PS1? I know there was a Syndicate Wars (the sequel), because I have it. Unfortunately I haven't played it that much, and really prefer the original if I remember correctly.
-
I really used to love this game on the PC. Are there any fans of this game that have found a decent console version of Syndicate? I have the Jaguar version and seem to recall it being a fairly decent conversion. I'm sure the SNES and Genesis versions must be pretty terrible. Anyone played the 3DO version?

Is there any reason to hang on to this game? I've given it a little of my time and it seems okay. But it just doesn't seem to hold my interest. Should I play into it a little more? Or are there more worthwhile things to do with my time?

Yeah, I sure did. If anyone needs additional info that may help you figure out what could be wrong, please let me know. It's rather annoying.

Anyone have that GBA Phantasy Star Collection? Is it worth getting? Are they decent conversions? -
"Holy Odd WTF Batman!" at Best Buy today
zombiecraig replied to tiggerthehun's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Yeah, I don't see why he would lie about it. And incarnations of Best Buy have been around for a while (I saw it on a video they make you watch when you work there), since the 70's I believe. Not in the current megastore format, but the company has been around. I don't recall the history, but it does seem possible that someone found them in storage. -
I've had the network adapter for the PS2 for several months, but have just recently been really trying to use it. But when I try to connect, it seems to be unable to find the connection and times out. Every once in a while it will work fine, but the majority of the time I really have to struggle with it to get it to work. Any ideas? Xbox Live works just fine with my DSL connection. I connect every time. I don't use a router. I connect directly from the modem.

Commodore 64 direct-to-TV w/30 games is here!
zombiecraig replied to Flojomojo's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I received mine in the mail the other day. I am quite pleased with it. It's worth it for Impossible Mission alone, if you ask me. I had forgotten just how cool that game really is. Now, if only I could get the old Friday the 13th C64 game on here. I know it sort of sucks, but I'm a horror fan. And as a kid at my cousin's house, it was fantastic. Another game I recall being pretty nice was Law of the West. Anyone remember that one? Was it really any good? -
Hey, gang! How about some more Dreamcast game recommendations? Here's what I have (not much): Crazy Taxi Jojo's Bizarre Adventure NBA 2K2 NFL 2K2, 2K1 & 2K Record of Lodoss War Sega Smash Pack, Vol. 1 Shenmue Sonic Adventure Soul Calibur Space Channel 5 & Typing of the Dead So what's good?

madden for NGC or Xbox and why ?
zombiecraig replied to ATARIeric's topic in Modern Gaming Discussion
I had ESPN 2K5 and ended up getting rid of it after a few months. It has some nice things going for it, and I'll probably try it again next year. But it does have some killer bugs if you are serious about realistic football stats and gameplay. Such as the clipping penalty bug and the "no extra point if you score at the end of the game while time expires" bug. That's right. You don't get to try an extra point or 2 point conversion. The game just ends. That's just not football to me. That's a pretty serious flaw. What if you need it to win? So it was back to Madden for me, and I'm quite pleased. I know I'm a fuck for not making the conversion like everyone else who's "in" did. This year's version just wasn't for me, that's all. Not to say that Madden is perfect either...but it's closer for me. -
Xbox Live Arcade, anyone have it?
zombiecraig replied to cimerians's topic in Modern Gaming Discussion
I got the disc with the free Ms. Pac-Man on it. I played it once or twice. It just feels better on MAME. And you're right. The games are pretty pricey. We'll see what they do with it in the future. More games and cheaper download prices would be nice. -
Just finished a nice, smooth deal with gameman-15. Very pleased with the trade. 01/14/05 MegaManFan bought some stuff from me today and sent payment immediately. Very highly recommended and a pleasure to deal with! 01/20/05 wrldstrman sent me a few games in a trade which I received today. Just wanted to say that he is an excellent person to trade with. Great communication, very reliable and a pleasure to do business with! 02/06/05 Jacob sent me the Light Phaser that I purchased from him for the Master System. Great deal! Quick service! 02/27/05 maximebeauvais, hattg and Jersey Devil are all people who were a pleasure to deal with in the past few weeks. 11/28/06 Murph74 bought something from me recently and was a pleasure to deal with. I'm not sure of dates, but briskbc, Classic Pac, & shawnb are a few more people I have dealt with. I would certainly recommend all of them.

I'm not sure if I have ever finished it with just Trevor (I think it's Trevor). I've never finished it with Alucard, either. I had the easiest time with Sypha.
-
And by the way, good for you!

I don't recall anything other than multiple endings depending on what character/characters you finish the game with.
