  1. No, I really don't think Barkley is in NBA Jam T.E. Unless, maybe he was in the original arcade run, before any revisions were made. But I don't believe so.
  2. I'm not really on there much, but my GT is: zombiecraig
  3. I have a few auctions on eBay for some Master System games including a boxed copy of ALF. Hope someone can take these off my hands. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...ssPageName=WDVW http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...me=STRK:MESE:IT http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...me=STRK:MESE:IT
  4. Yeah, so it was either the story I posted before, or the company was just hoping to fool people into thinking it was Punch Out 2 by calling it Power Punch 2 and having "Mike Tyler" in it.
  5. I believe that is Power Punch 2. Sort of an unofficial sequel to Mike Tyson's Punch-Out, if I'm not mistaken. I believe there is a backstory there, like Nintendo was working on a sequel, but then Tyson got into legal trouble. Then they dumped it off on whoever eventually released it. Something like that. Or at least that's what I always heard. I believe the name of the boxer in the game is Mike Tyler.
  6. Right, but not all copies of the original NBA Jam have Barkley. I know NBA Jam T.E. does not, but not all of the original ones do either. Trust me. I have a copy of NBA Jam (not T.E.) and it doesn't have Barkley. That's what I'm looking for: an original NBA Jam that has Charles Barkley on the Suns. It would be great if you guys could check your copies and see if he's in the game.
  7. Probably. Most game store workers are so goddamn ignorant. Unless it's GTA or Halo, they pretty much know nothing. The same thing happened when I was looking for Gradius V. "That game's really old. I doubt you'll be able to find it." Thanks, genius. It was just released in September or October. I really hate people.
  8. What the hell is with Choplifter?!? It's a game I've heard about a lot through the years and played every once in a while. So I play the Master System version last night, and boy do I hate it. Is anyone actually a fan of this game? And why?
  9. You can't tell from the cover art, as far as I know. It's just an early run version of the original NBA Jam, not NBA Jam T.E. The early run versions have Barkley and Kevin Johnson on the Suns, while later run cartridges have Kevin Johnson and Dan Majerle. My later run cart does have a small white area in the label that says 1993 Acclaim Entertainment, Inc. among other manufacturing and licensing info. Maybe the earlier version has a slightly earlier date? I have no idea. The only way I know for sure is if you check the game itself...
  10. I know that must sound ridiculous, but I am looking for one. It can be just the cartridge as long as it's in decent shape. The catch is, I'm looking for one with Charles Barkley on the Phoenix Suns. This was part of the initial run. I had it at one time but then traded it in for some other stuff back in the day. The roster was changed later on and Barkley was removed, probably due to his association with Accolade and the Barkley: Shut Up and Jam! games. I'd be willing to slip someone a few bucks, or the later version of the cart in exchange for a NBA Jam with him in it. He was always one of my favorites.
  11. I've had the cartridge for quite a while, but have never come across a box or manual for it. Does anyone have a spare lying around that they would be willing to part with?
  12. It's definitely one of the more unique NES games. I haven't played it for some time. My only problem with it, is that the NES Light Gun makes so much damn noise when you fire it. The constant clicking is maddening! This is not the fault of the game, however. Definitely a quality game that is often overlooked.
  13. I have Rambo: First Blood Part II, but haven't gotten to that one yet. You're quite right about Ghostbusters. Easily the best version of an underrated and misunderstood game. I think the C64 version was fairly decent, though it has been some time since I played it. I believe that you are also correct about Time Soldiers on SMS being the only console port of that title. Again, that is a game that I have that I need to actually spend more than 5 minutes with. And I too need the Light Phaser, damnit!
  14. I know, I know. Action Fighter certainly does not rank among the list of most creative titles. But I thought it was pretty cool. First it's a lot like Spy Hunter, but then your vehicle changes with power-ups. Motorcycle, then car, then...flying car! That's when I had the Keanu Reeves, "Whoa" moment. I guess I always just expected it to be a complete Spy Hunter knock-off, but there is actually some creativity to the game. Some. Well, more than I expected. Much better gameplay than ALF, Altered Beast or Aztec Adventure.
  15. I was just going to ask this last night. I got one a few years ago and have never really spent much quality time with it. So, last night I started playing through some of the games alphabetically. I only got through the A games, of which I have 6. ALF, Altered Beast and Aztec Adventure were fairly disappointing. However, Action Fighter, After Burner and Alien Syndrome were rather good. What are some fellow poster's favorites? One thing I did notice, several of the games had terrible play control issues. Has anyone else had these problems? Altered Beast was pretty much unplayable due to control. And even Alien Syndrome suffered, somewhat. Maybe it's just my controller?
  16. Yeah, it must be in the December issue (#140). It's not in the October issue (138), either. But I just got my November issue. Why are my issues so far behind? BOO!
  17. Ah...another Outlander fan! The side scrolling beat'em and shoot'em sequences leave something to be desired. But those driving sections are a Mad Max fan's dream! Some others that I like: Comix Zone Flashback Gauntlet IV (The best Gauntlet ever! Incredible music!) Ghouls'n Ghosts RoboCop vs. Terminator Splatterhouse 2 & 3 & X-Men 2
  18. I believe you click in on the right analog stick. That's the "R" it means.
  19. Of course in Ninja Gaiden, these are not bosses. I guess I'll just kill myself...but not before I play Crime Fighters!
  20. I don't know. I mean sure, it's pretty simple gameplay-wise I'm sure, but the design does have some style. Of course maybe I am gay. Perhaps uber-gay?!? Maybe we can get together sometime...
  21. The arcade version of Ninja Gaiden seems to fit the bill. Some of the thugs you fought appeared to be wearing hockey masks.
  22. http://www.handheldmuseum.com/Tiger/SubWarsLED.htm Okay, so I answered my own question. Anyone know where to get one? None currently on eBay, as far as I can tell.
