Well, in the end it'll all be on the same balance sheet. Of course, should Microsoft lose any money this/next year they can easily blame the crisis, like everyone else
I wasn't speculating whether or not the division will make or lose any $$$ for whatever reason. (Personally, I suspect with Halo Wars coming in March they probably will.)
I was merely responding to this statement.
M$ loses money on each unit sold.http://kotaku.com/gaming/lol-they-made-a-b...r-ms-255654.php
That article is from April 26, 2007. What is the date today?
I'm just kidding, I really don't care.
I'm just trying to cause trouble!

I played through the first one and enjoyed it.
I'm too much of a cheap bastard, lately, so I haven't picked this up yet. I'll probably wait for an eventual price drop before getting it, at this point.
But, I've heard good things and I'm looking forward to playing it!

You're not supposed to eat it!

I thought you were talking really vintage.
I would love to have an 80s King Kong Bundy shirt!

whats the model number on this badboy?
The model number is RVL-001(USA).
need the number that starts with "LU" on the back. The "RVL" is the same on all of them. It's the LU that tells the story.
Oh, I'm sorry. I must have misunderstood. That number is LU51122531 and then there is a 2 encased in a square at the end. I'm not sure if that last "2" is relevant.

Hey there. I just wanted to shill my Wii auction in case anyone here was interested:
eBay Auction -- Item Number: 220278893536
I'm offering the Wii, 16 physical Wii games, 8 VC games, 2800 Wii points, and more.
Everything is in nice shape.
If you still can't track down a Wii, you can bid on mine!

Sports games are always the last releases for a system because they're popular and a like clockwork yearly update (well except for the N64 because of that odd Tony Hawk 3 release).
Tempest
Yeah, and honestly, I imagine it's not that expensive to produce. Slap on a new title screen, update the rosters, print new covers and a new front cover for the manual and then run with a low production run and I guess you really can't miss.

I'm really surprised to see an Xbox version available. I don't even see it for preorder on EA's website. It is listed, along with the PS2 version, under the features section of the Madden site. It is listed on BestBuy.com and DeepDiscount.com.
Hell, I'm a huge fan of the series, I think I might actually pick this up as an oddity for my Xbox collection along with the PS3 version.
I'm just really surprised that EA even bothered. What was the previous last game for the Xbox? Madden 08?

I seem to recall reading something at one point where Xbox controllers could be used on PCs for gaming. Now, I just read mention in another topic about 360 controllers working with PCs.
Does anyone around here do this? I was just wondering how well this works, reliability-wise. Anyone ever have issues doing this?
I'll do some Googling, but if someone can point me to the best method here, I would certainly appreciate it.

I really only care about the netflix integration at this point. I can't wait for that!
I agree!

eBay's new feedback system no longer allows for mutual feedback removal. You can either get a court order to remove the feedback or hope that the guy gets booted from eBay and then eBay will remove the feedback. The new system has many flaws. One of the biggest flaws is that they started counting neutrals as negatives.
A court order. What a joke.
9 years ago, I really enjoyed using eBay. These days, I absolutely despise the service.
The seller can do nothing. If someone wins an item and really thinks they got a good deal, they can still leave negative feedback just for fun.
Sure eBay "encourages" contacting sellers when there is a problem, but most people are so upset when there is a problem that they don't take the time to consider that, or don't have the patience to wait a day for the seller to answer them.
I would love to see a mass exodus of sellers from eBay. But the way eBay is today, there are too many people making a living selling through it, so I really don't see eBay being hurt at all.

Single player gaming on the way out?
Sounds good to me. Now I can stop wasting time and money on new games coming out, that I generally do not enjoy anyway.
Maybe I'll finally be able to catch up on some older games.

I was playing the GBA version of Final Fantasy II earlier and it's the first time that I've used the Game Boy Player in several years. Is there any way to hide the "Press Z for Options" thing that is on the top right of the screen? I'm afraid that's it's going to burn into my plasma television.
hmm, hard to remember exactly... this may seem like a stupid question but did you press Z for options and see if there are view options? I do seem to recall there is an option to use the Super Gameboy backdrops on GB games and that there were a couple of resolution settings as well.
Another thing to try when you don't know which button does what is press all of them one after the other

Nope. I can't find anything. I guess there may be know way to remove that. Seems pretty ridiculous, to me. I guess I'll just have to play it on an actual GBA or DS.

Truly impressive! Congratulations!
Now, two questions:
First, out of your Genesis collection, which five games do you pull down and play the most?
Second, just for the sake of curiosity, which manuals are you still missing?
Okay, one more. Is that also a complete Sega CD collection? I'm not sure how many were released, but it looks like you have quite a few.

remowilliams just took a big group of stuff. Thanks again!

cosmosiss took two of the Wico joysticks off my hands, so only one more of those remain! Thank you, cosmosiss!

Red Steel is off the list. Thanks to SpendTooMuchOnAtari!

Yeah, I'm curious how others store their GBA and Game Boy games? I'm not one to save boxes for most systems, and I didn't keep boxes for my Game Boy or GBA games.
Right now, mine are being stored in a little bin, separate from the rest of my collection. Most of the time, I forget that I even have them.
It would be nice if there were a binder of some sort that would hold them nicely. Like a binder for CDs, only for GBA and Game Boy games. At least I could place the binder on a shelf and it would look pretty nice.
Any ideas on this?

I have a collection of items that I need to get rid of and wanted to see if anyone here would be interested. I'll take cash offers or trades for items that I'll list below. Here are some pics of the random controllers:
2 of these are pending payment! These were tested a while back and were working then. One of the Super Action Controllers does have a bit of a rattle.
I have a few other games and DVDs that I would like to offer for sale or trade also, no pics for these, but they are all in barely played condition:
The Simpsons Season 1 DVD set
The Simpsons Season 2 DVD set
360
Condemned
MLB 2K7
NBA 2K7
Xbox
Half Life 2
Metal Slug 3 (I got this one used so it has a few light scratches)
Metal Slug 4/5 (sealed)
Sega GT 2002/Jet Set Radio Future
Splinter Cell
Shenmue II
GameCube
Resident Evil
Resident Evil 4
PS2
The Thing
Dreamcast
Shenmue
Genesis
Strider Returns (game and case - not in the best shape)
I also have boxes for SNES Street Fighter 2, GBA Metroid Zero Mission, GBA Capcom Classics Mini Mix and GBA Gunstar Super Heroes if anyone wants them.
I also have the entire early run of WWF Saturday Night's Main Event on VHS. These were recorded from TV, so quality does vary. Not included are the more recent NBC WWE episodes. I think there are 6-7 tapes in all. I can't sell them on eBay due to copyright issues, but they've served me well over the years and I hate to just toss them.
TRADE LIST - Here are a few games that I am looking for:
2600 (cartridge only is fine)
Pitfall II
Spider-Man
SNES (cartridge only is fine)
Adventures of Batman & Robin
Blackthorne
Demon's Crest
Inspector Gadget
Marvel Super Heroes: War of the Gems
Separation Anxiety
Speed Racer
Spider-Man (the animated series game)
Sunset Riders
T2: Arcade
UN Squadron
WCW
Zombies ate my Neighbors
Genesis
Ranger X (cartridge only is fine; I have the case and manual)
Dragon's Fury (w/case)
Crue Ball (w/case)
James Bond - The Duel (w/case)
Mercs (w/case)
NHL '95 (w/case)
Road Blasters (w/case)
I'm also looking for WWF In Your House complete in pretty nice shape for PS1 and ECW Anarchy Rulz complete in pretty nice shape for DC or PS1 (I think?)
And I also need a nice looking Dreamcast keyboard, if anyone has one to spare.
Also, if anyone is looking to move any TG-16 games (case, manual, HU-card - no cardboard box needed), I'd be willing to listen to offers on those, as well.
Oh, and I haven't done a whole lot of trading around here, but feel free to check my eBay reputation. My eBay ID is zombiecraig.

this may me a little off topic but since pitfall was on the atari first .some of you may be interested in the new pitfall on the wii!!!!
Definitely not off topic. This is the Wii forum. Any Wii news can be posted here, I would think.
I had not heard this, so thanks for the heads-up! Hopefully, it will be decent.

That is probably the nerdiest thing I have ever seen.
Yeah, if by "nerdiest" you really mean fucking awesome!

That is so great! I'm a big Phantasm fan. Just hearing the music makes me want to watch one of the movies.
Can't afford to pick this up, but good luck to you!
