  1. Okay, I'll pass on GTR2. I guess what I'm looking for is the simulation experience that GT has to offer. I like the idea of having to buy a POS Daewoo or something, sinking some cash into it to make it barely win a race and then build upon those winnings. Oh well, I'll cruise Compusa and see if anything catches my eye.
  2. I did...and beat it with the exception of 2 or 3 cars. I'm looking for something bit more modern. Maybe I should have said I'm looking for something like GT4 for the PC. Native widescreen support would be icing on the cake too.
  3. I'm looking for a racing sim that's close to Gran Turismo for the PS or Sega GT for the DC. I saw GTR2 today and it seemed close, but not quite what I wanted. Any help? Thanks!
  4. Yep, 319. http://forums.slickdeals.net/showthread.ph...ght=xbox+%24319
  5. I think the premium bundle was $319 this week over at Dell. The post was on slickdeals.net somewhere.
  6. Shoved a gravis USB pad into a SNES stock controller for my ZNES games. A little Dremel work was all that one took.
  7. Emule is as slow as a donkey...lol.. dcforums rocks, try it. Don't need to. I have everything I could ever play. Every game has been optested, but VERY few have been played. Emule works great. Click on 40-50 games and walk away. Come back and you've probably got 10-20. To each his own, but Emule worked great for me and was fairly quick. Just check your router settings and find a good server.
  8. The only place you need to go for DC stuff is emule. I got the entire DC library with maybe 4-5 exceptions in my spare time over 2-3 months last summer. Yes, it was 2-3 months, but like I said, I have the 99.9 percent of the titles. Emule is the key.
  9. If I remember, I'll shoot it to you when I get home. I haven't been checking AA that much lately.

    good roms

Emule. Emule has everything you need. You can get every 5200 rom in the time you're going to spend looking for those 4. Just download emule and type 5200 roms. And then NES, and then 7800, and then SMS, you get the picture I think.
  11. Boom. It's the one that has the Playstation option. Which works damn good except that the analog sticks don't work, but that really never bothered me. I like to use original joysticks with all of my emulation. Currently I've got the following: 2600-CX40 NES-NES Pad SNES-SNES Pad N64-Well, you know. PS-Ditto Atari 7800-New 7800 stick, need to make an external crossover to use with my sega adapter Sega Genesis-Sega 6 button Sega SMS-SMS controller TG16-NES pad or logitech wingman
  12. I know. Someone should just release the plans to build one. It can't be that hard. Oh well.
  13. -Yep -Yep -Yep PJ64 -No luck. That's why I'm posting here. Oh well.
  14. I've read the faq's and what not, but I can't seem to get this going. The analog stick always want's to go down when it's not being touched. I've adjusted deadzones and range, but still the same. It shows up in control panel as a "4-axis" stick. I think this is the root problem with this adapter. Can anyone make it a "2-axis." The z rotation is what throws everything off. Thanks!
  15. Don't like project tempest? I haven't tried VJ in a while. Is is decent now?
  16. Turns out that this isn't happening. Sega will be releasing refurbished systems only. This is not going to be new production. Sorry if I got anyone's hopes up. Still, MFR Refurbished is still a better option than used for some.

  18. Riddle of the Sphinx on 2600, and ya, I played the crap out of ET. But the game I really spent a lot of time with was Seaquest.
  19. I knew we weren't going to see 1.0 anytime soon, and I guess I figured that's why we'd see .999999999 rc 28 and so on. So the next time I see my 6th grade math teacher I can tell her that .1 and .100 are not the same thing, because the MAME guys said so. Ok. Now I know and knowing's half the battle.
  20. So three decimel places is the key. Got it.
  21. Okay, I haven't been following mame for about 6 months or more. Since when does software naming go from .99 to .1? Isn't this going to present major problems with ROM sets and programs and just overall craziness. If they didn't feel like the next upgrade was ready for 1.0, why didn't they just keep doing .999998 or .99r106 or something? Color me confused.
  22. Just got done getting bored of RA2 and started up Generals. How do you capture the oil derricks??
  23. I just read on one of the current ebay auctions that you need an older GBA to load files onto the flash cart because the Micro doesn't have an expansion port. What gives? Would I have to buy a cart, micro AND and SP/standard GBA to make this work? What would be really cool would be a cart that accepts SD or MMC and no link to the GBA required. Does this exist?
  24. Alright I have to ask. . .I've been thinking about getting one of these for a while. What I really want to know is do the ROM loading carts work on this latest incarnation. You know, they hold 64, 128, or 256 meg worth of roms. Also, where is a reputable sight to get one of these if they exist, and what brand/type would be the best to look for. I'm completely ignorant on this subject so a little help would be greatly appreciated.
