Hello, I'm new here. I recently received an original xbox, but upon boot up it shows an error message. Apparently, the error message is related to the hard drive not being locked. The person who had it before used a soft-mod on it, and I guess didn't lock the drive. I do not have the EEPROM (I believe that's what it was). I have tried hooking the hard drive up to a PC and running the correct programs to lock the drive but to no avail. I'm lost on what I need to do. It would be nice to get this thing working, but from what I have seen, there isn't much I can do. TL;DR Is there any way i can save this Xbox either by fixing the mod or restoring it to a factory state so I can be used? Thanks for any input, I am lost with this thing right now.
