The developer has backed away from all contact with the public Vectrex community so I assume he has no interest making Vecfever a widely available commercial product.

 

Sadly I think our only hope is if someone else see the cash to be made and produces a clone product. Hopefully with mame capabilities.

It just totally amazes and disappoints me that he would go to all that effort to produce these great games and hardware and then not let people have them.

 

I get that he doesn't want to spend time making and selling but why not give that job to someone else?

 

Why start this thread and then stop posting with no explanation? He should have kept it as his own secret project if he didn't want to share.

 

The way it stands now with a select few having them and showing them off sucks big time

No it's not a dip switch on the arcade.

I play both mame Moon Patrol and Vector Patrol and I think the speed feels just right for each platform.

Perhaps on the arcade it accelerates quicker as the screen is bigger so it's more of a scale thing.

If vector Patrol accelerated more quickly it would probably make it more difficult to play.

Thanks for that G4meBoy I messaged him on 13th March so it will be four months soon.

I have been following this thread since he started it but made the mistake of thinking there would be a general release so I didn't bother him with a PM earlier.

There is a small chance he could still get to my message but I am starting to lose hope.

I assure you he is replying to PMs, but there is a lag. Patience is a virtue, and the VecFever is worth it!

(It took about three months or so for my PM to catch up to him.)

Could you please tell us what date you first PMed and how recently you got a reply?

It seems due to the lack of people posting that they got one lately that the rumours there are no more being made might be true.

Got mine today after contacting Thomas via pm. Took a while, but I've been waiting 4 years for Warrior after payment. Everyting that's less than a year is ok.

I PMed about three weeks ago and have no reply yet, I don't want to message again and bother him.

 

I had better officially say PLEASE ADD ME TO THE LIST in this thread. Even though I doubt Thomas is using the requests in this thread as an order list. But just in case.

If Thomas doesn't have the time or desire to produce these carts I hope that he considers passing the project onto someone else so that we can all enjoy his multicart and new games.

I can't imagine that this is true. Why would Thomas give this to testers and reviewers some of whom said it would be unlimited release and then decide not to release it?

 

All the time coding the games that go with it. Not to mention the potential money to be made.

 

Nope I won't believe that until Thomas posts it himself somewhere public.

I have been enjoying my copy of Vector Patrol ☺ I noticed in the demo that there seems to be more championship levels with new enemies than the original game.

I should read the manual and see if it mentions that.

Has anyone got to the new courses yet?

I'm trying to get there without using continue.

If it looks good and plays well I would not bother recapping until it needs it.

Why take the risk of fiddling with it?

Just buy a recap kit and put it away and enjoy playing your Vectrex.
