  1. I agree about the music being better in the former version. Would it be possible to make the entire screen flash when a smart bomb is being used?
  2. http://forums.lostlevels.org/viewtopic.php...5790f95d4a3d637 somekind of famicom clone http://www.atariage.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=65109 http://cgi.ebay.com/POWER-JOY-PLUG-N-PLAY-...2QQcmdZViewItem Since I didn't see a photo at any of those links (did I look hard enough?), I did a quick search on Google and found a photo: http://www.stormscorner.com/ewb/site-content/hr-16/pjtoy.bmp
  3. I like the way this game is shaping up. It's very twitchy and the music and graphics are great! Gameplay Ideas: Instead of losing the game entirely when an alien passes the ship, you could slow down the rate of the ship's cannon. The opposite could be true for aliens shot in succession - speed up the rate of fire power. This might give the player a better sense of how well or crappy he is playing. It might be cool if the music speed changed to reflect this as well. Asteroid stage - The player must guide the ship through gaps in an asteroid field. Firepower would have little/no effect on asteroids so the gameplay would change from shoot everything to dodge everything. I realize it is probably too late now (the kernal would probably need to be rewritten entirely), but I think this game would be fun with the paddles.
  4. Kirby 64 - The Crystal Shards Now I'm going back and collecting all the good stuff I missed the first time around.
  5. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Code_Adam Oh girlfriend... when someone calls another person a fanboy (or whatever else), they only reveal their own insecurity. I don't see any correlation between name-calling and sexual preference. /snaps fingers and skips away/
  6. Funny story. Although I've never tried, I would think it would be quite difficult to cram a cartridge in upside-down! I like my TI-99 too much to test this out myself.
  7. Perhaps... or, if you are inclined to speculate further upon gender issues, I might be a lost little girl inside a lost little boy's body! ... or vice versa! Regardless, I'm extremely disappointed that I have been lurking in these forums for years and no one has declared a code adam. Back on topic: It is very considerate of you to think of the female gamers - especially those who are blindly loyal to one game company over all others and have been wrongly labeled "fanboys" over the years. Despite your intentions, I don't believe that the term "fanperson" will ever catch on. Something more more catchy or fun to say like "bodiggly" or "derfshken" might add a little torque to your proposal. "Sarah just won't give the ColecoVision a chance... she's an Intellivision bodiggly!" or "I just bought Toyshop Trouble for my VCS, but James refuses to play unless it is ported to the Game.com. He's such a Game.com derfshken!" </nonsense>
  8. We offer our sincerest apologies! With "thomas" as part of your username, most of us simply assumed you were a boy. As to your confession about being an Odyssey fanperson, there is not much any of us can do except perhaps direct you to a good therapist for psychiatric treatment. j/k
  9. Being chased by a growling demon in Advanced Dungeons And Dragons (Intellivision)... still scares me!
  10. The game played decent enough, but afterwards locked up my PC and I had to reboot. I haven't had to do that in a long time.
  11. That's a sweet deal on a loose Duck Hunt! I have been looking all over...
  12. Thanks for the heads-up, Bratwurst! I thought this one looked fishy, but the DP thread confirms it. Hopefully the AA mods will ban this jerk before anyone else gets burned.
  13. 125 would be 5/8 of 200. You passed a quarter of 200 (50) some time ago. You have more games than you thought!
  14. I just PM'd vdub_bobby about the mistake. Nice score, btw!
  15. Which of the Klik products are you using? I have Click & Create, The Games Factory, and Multimedia Fusion. All three will compile for Vitalize, but also allow you to build a standalone executable that can be played as long as a CNC32.dll or CNCS32.dll is in the same directory or is in the Windows/System folder.
  16. Very unique! The friction control feels really good. Whenever I test out a new homebrew, I get a few crazy (perhaps half-baked) ideas: Each wrong color hit could make the player restart the sequence, but the timer keeps counting down. Each correct color adds a notch to the player's top speed. The player loses only when the timer runs out before a sequence is completed. It might be really twitchy to throw in a few various power-ups to collect and/or obstacles to avoid - all while trying to concentrate on beating out the right sequence. Power-up ideas: A tazer to temporarily stun and freeze the enemy or a decoy to bait an enemy boss while the player works on a sequence. Power-down ideas: A potion or alcoholic beverage that slows the player down or makes him drunk for a time (ie reverse controls), a caffeine pill that max's out the player's speed and makes controls difficult, or a mushroom that swaps around the wall colors. > You could take it a step further and implement a different enemy boss with different AI and attacks for each stage. Examples: A boss that tries to bump the player into the wrong wall (ie Reactor), a gravity boss that vacuums the player towards itself, or an enemy that tries to "puppy-guard" the wall of the next color in a sequence. Hmmm, if you want to make it really crazy, let the player control the character with a driving controller.
  17. I tend to throw the shells out just before I fry and eat what's inside.
  18. I think I missed something... there's only three ghosts now? /edit/ I figured it out... I was trying to change it using the select switch. Nice job, Nukey. It looks better all the time.
  19. - CosmicJoke I got a boxed WICO Command Control Adapter (TI-99/4a). Packed nicely and super fast shipping! A+

  21. Nope. I believe MGD was in the polishing stages when Alex became ill. I hope he is doing better.
