The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes project
Leonardo Biagi replied to Leonardo Biagi's topic in Odyssey 2 / Videopac
Yes, I did. And I forgot to take the pictures of that side of the box. But they got pretty dark, since there's a lot of black space on the screen on the pictures I got. And I don't have the game to try and take some more pictures with more information. -
Launch-era Sega Genesis box pictures and dimensions
Leonardo Biagi replied to Leonardo Biagi's topic in Sega Genesis
Hahaha, then you can't check my Vectrex box where I had to take an image of the console and invert it so I could replace the one from the picture which was really bad. The place where we insert the cartridge is on the wrong side and I didn't clean it... (not mentioning the fact that the controller is in a different position as well.) I could fix it but, pleople've been asking to disclaim somewhere in the boxes that they are replicas, and these diferences make a pretty good disclaimer. (I agree with the disclaimer, but even doind so, people can erase and change whatever they want to).. And thank you for your comment. -
Launch-era Sega Genesis box pictures and dimensions

All my art is available online for whoever wants to use it. leonardobiagi.imgur.com . That's the meaning of community, right? But I get your reaction, there's been some discussion on the 3do forum as well. Now I'm writing that it's a repro box, but that won't stop people from using it to the dark side. -

I bought one of those, that's how I got the dimensions... It's pretty cool, but nothing beats the original... -

Hi Flojomojo, I finally got the dimensions to the box and started the project. I'm using the pictures you provided since I couldn't get anyone to send me hd pics. Here's the main side. -
The Official NEO-GEO Thread!

The Official NEO-GEO Thread!
Leonardo Biagi replied to Charlie Cat's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Hello fellow members!!! Our friend Anthony invited me to write on this thread because I have a different project and a request. My project started with the idea of storing my boxless consoles in a proper way so my wife wouldn't complain about the ugly cleaning products boxes on the shelf, so I asked around for pictures and measurements of the original boxes for the consoles I didn't have. But people liked the idea and started to make requests. The art for the boxes turned out pretty decent and I'm very proud of it, so I had the idea to make something like a database for it. I think I have 8 or 9 art already (and miniboxes, which are awesome) available at leonardobiagi.imgur.com . Feel free to have a look and download whatever you like or need. I just ask that's for personal use, of course. Now the part that concern your community. Someone asked for a NEO GEO box, but didn't specify which model. Then I asked on the General common part of the forum and Anthony found me and enjoyed the idea and thought I could add something to the community. So, since I'm still to return here with the specifics for the box I need to replicate, I'm offering my services for whoever need something that I can provide, be it any box for any console. The only thing I would need is pictures of a high quality (or scans) for at least the parts of the box that are hard to replicate, like families playing together, or the console at an angle, or a hand holding the controller, things like that, and the correct dimensions of the box. That's all. Take a look at y site leonardobiagi.imgur.com. Thank you all for the attention and all the best. (I'll be back later asking for the correct model pics) Leonardo -

It is I that thank you. As for your NEO GEO official thread, can I ask for the pics there as well? -
NEO GEO console box dimensions and pics
Leonardo Biagi replied to Leonardo Biagi's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Hi Anthony, I've done that, the googleing I mean, and noticed that... I'm gonna wait for the guy who requested it to reply and then post it here, it'll be less confusing. And regarding the need of my services, please request, request, request, I really enjoy making them, it's very challenging. i'm not able to provide the phisical box itself yet, since I'm yet to make a full one myself (I've done some, but with merge points on the print, since my printing place won't print on a big enough paper at an affordable price, so I have to cut the art, and the merge it on the assemble.) (I'm actually happy with the result myself, and am using the boxes, but to provide for others is not a decent thing to offer.) ( I use ( ) a lot). But the art is available at the site and if people ask for, I can provide the .psd files so they can edit. Thanks for the reply and suggestion -

Since the guy didn't specify which one, I'm taking whatever you can provide. I'll ask him, and when I get the answer I'll write it here. But if you have a specific one, I'll be more than happy if you could send me. I don't know if you are aware of my other posts, but I'm making replica boxes and posting at leonardobiagi.imgur.com for whoever is interested on printing them. I started this project for myself, to make boxes for my consoles which were missing, but people started asking, and the idea now is to have a database. So whatever box is finefor now. Thanks for your reply and attention. -
Hello everybody!!! I got a request from someone to replicate a NEO GEO box for him, but I don't have any info to start. Could a nice soul be kind enough to provide the measurements and some high quality pics of the sides of the boxes?? And when it's done, I'll share the art with whoever asks for it and even make a replica box and post the pics and also share the art too. Thanks in advance and all the best.

Thanks!!! I got tired of the overcharging the printing places were asking to print a full one sheet print for me (sometimes the price matched buying a conole with a box!!!) so I decided to go guerrila style. I printed the biggets size they would for a dollar and glue it together. the perfect soluction? No, but I'm pretty satisfied with the results so far. I'll post the pics on the progress and if someone would give me any ideas on how to make the merging point a little more discrete, I wuld appreciate a lot! thanks again.

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes project
Leonardo Biagi replied to Leonardo Biagi's topic in Odyssey 2 / Videopac
The Videopac Version. Please note that the number after Videopac is a random number. I need to recalculate the bottom part, this one got to be too tight. Thanks again -
The The Voice boxes are ready!! Both big and mini. As I said before I decided to go full guerilla style on the box so, instead of looking for a place to print it all in one piece, I printed each face separately. First I assembled the box itself with the cardboard. Just plain, with no art. Then I glued each side and glue black tape on the edges. I never thought it would work, so I didn't take any pictures of the process, but it turned out really great and I'm very happy with my box. I consider this project done. Now on to the styrofoam part. Here are the pics. Thanks again.

Going back to the The Voice project!!! I finally got to finish it. (The art part at least). I've been working on the Sherlock Holmes project a lot and left it aside for a while, but finally got some time to do it. I'm posting the final art of the remaining faces and the comparision and the "unfolded" as well. I'm going to print a mini box and post the pictures later on the week. My patience with finding the right printing place and cardboard is running out, so i decided to create on of my own. It's a little more work, but I like the challenge. I'll post the results as well. The styrofoam part is the most challenging part because I'm building to look almost the same as the real ones too. And I've added some small text relating that it's a mock up and not the real one (not that I think it's that similar, but some members on the 3-DO forum suggested and I thought it was a great idea. Thanks again to metarog for all the pics and time dispended on taking them.

The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes project
Leonardo Biagi replied to Leonardo Biagi's topic in Odyssey 2 / Videopac
Thanks Seob, this is beautiful. EXACTLY what I need. I'll get right to it. And I'll try to print and assemble one version this week. Just one more question: how would be "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" in Dutch? Thanks again -
3do fz-1 console box and dimensions?
Leonardo Biagi replied to Leonardo Biagi's topic in 3DO Interactive Multiplayer
This is really nice!! Thank you!! As for the pics, if you could take one pic from each face so I can have a reference, it would be nice. There's no problem if the box is in good shape or not... but if it's too much trouble, that's ok, I'll fish the net for it. Thanks again -

Hi Seob, thanks for that!!! I've sent you a PM. -
Aaaand here I come with another box request... Since I don't own any videopac master strategy games, I've been researching for some boxes so I can make one of the Sherlock's to look alike, but I can only find the front of the boxes on google, and one from the side. I've noticed that the videopac versions have videopac written on the side, so could any of you nice souls that owns one of the videopac master strategiy games (it can be any game of the three released in any language) send me some pictures of the sides and bottom, it would be very helpful and I would be eternally grateful. And another idea I had ( and I dont know if its a bold move, I haven't discussed with Rafa, the project leader) is that, when the project is ready and all the text is done, if anyone would like to translate it in their language and send it back to me, I would make the videopac in their own language. I noticed that since the videopac is the european version, there's a lot of different languages released, so I'd be willing to do that per request. We can do that interest check on the pre order. What do you guys think? And please, please send me the pics. Thanks again

Another Sherlock Holmes update. I'm posting here as well because there may be some people who don't follow the Sherlock topic can get them as well. "Hello evebody!!! Another update and another interest check! We're way past halftime on the project. We're 99% satisfied with the box, 90% satisfied with the board, the overlays are looking great (we are still choosing the style and button format), the chips are on hold and the instructions are starting to take form. Like I said before there's nothing physical to show, but we're up and running and really excited for the outcome! The interest check is if there's anybody who would like the Videopac version, so I could adapt the box, the overlay (the odyssey version is much wider) and the instructions manual. Those are easy to adapt." Thanks again for your time!

3do fz-1 console box and dimensions?
Leonardo Biagi replied to Leonardo Biagi's topic in 3DO Interactive Multiplayer
Of course I'm interested! Even if it's just to help you get the box. Then I'll have it in my "database" form whoever ask for it, and it woulb be nice to have a mini box of it. Can you take some pictures as well of all the sides, top and bottom. And some close ups of things that you could consider hard to replicate, like hands, people, this kind of thing. And concerning the "reproduction box", I was wondering about it and you could't be so right!! It's just a small text and it solve any problems people would have. Great idea! Thank you and all the best! -

Time for a little update. It may not seem now because there's no physical progress of the parts to show. But the box final prototype is almost ready. We're working an the art for the board, working on the instructions, and still waiting for the chips to get done (It may take a little while). But the work is going full time and as soon we get some pics to show you, we'll show you. Thanks again.
