The last part that requires pictures is done, thanks to a great collaboration from Igallair again, who provided the pics I asked him. Later I'll be posting all parts separated and assembled, and at last, later on, the box itself.

Another update: The last two pics on the bottom are missing, because the pics from Igallair had a glare in them and I couldn't use it. I already asked him for another picture and as soon as he replies I'll fix it and post the final result of this side. And start the last one. I'm already working on the bottom and top parts. I reduced the opacity on the grid and really enjoyed the result and ended up adjusting the other sides as well. It got softer and lighter and much better to look at. Thanks again

ColecoVision System box replica
Leonardo Biagi replied to Leonardo Biagi's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
Hello everybody!! I'm starting a project for the module boxes. If any collector who owns the boxes from the modules #2 and #3 could be so kind to post some pictures of the sides of boxes and some of the dimensions (like Igallair did on my vectrex post http://atariage.com/forums/topic/263026-vectrex-console-box-and-dimensions/),I'll be forever thankful and pot the results for whomever want to use it. If there's any interest at all I can send the art in photoshop format so people could enjoy maximum definition and add or change whatever it is you like or dislike about the box. Thanks again -

3do fz-1 console box and dimensions?
Leonardo Biagi replied to Leonardo Biagi's topic in 3DO Interactive Multiplayer
Thank you for the support Blazing Lazers. I can happily make this a thing with the help of our fellow members and collectors. All we need is, as I always say, pictures and dimensions, and I'll do everything I can to replicate the art. Even if I don't have the system myself. -
3do fz-1 console box and dimensions?
Leonardo Biagi replied to Leonardo Biagi's topic in 3DO Interactive Multiplayer
I got the dimensions from a collector here in Brazil and this is the result: (It is still missing some text information On the 3DO topo) (I would like to make the other version of the FZ-1 box, the black one with pictures, but then again I would still need pictures and the dimensions for that) -
ColecoVision System box replica
Leonardo Biagi replied to Leonardo Biagi's topic in ColecoVision / Adam
I'm waiting for mine to arrive. I only made the art for this one, but asked for someone else to print and assemble for me, as soon as I get the box, I'll post pictures of it ok? I have a different project with a vectrex box and that one I be in charge of every part of the process, meaning it would be cheaper. When I get all the cost numbers I can send you if you would like. And I would only charge you for the printing and shipping costs, I'm not interested on profiting from this. But the really cheaper way would be for me to send you the art in high definition and you find a decent place to print it in an adhesive paper (we call it vynil paper, the kind we use it in Brazil) and buy some large cardboard and assemble yourself, it's supposed to be pretty simple and basic. And I'll glady assist you through the process. -
3do fz-1 console box and dimensions?
Leonardo Biagi replied to Leonardo Biagi's topic in 3DO Interactive Multiplayer
Not so hard, specially if it's cardboard, but then again we face the same problem with the boxes itself, we need someone willing to take the measurements and post the pictures, or even someone just post the pictures with some key dimensions (not all the measurements) I can estimate the scale and build a guide. Another membe r(KilJoy) started one interesting topic about it at http://atariage.com/forums/topic/240709-vintage-replacement-box-inserts-and-instructions-to-make-them/?hl=%2Bjoystick+%2Bkyljoy+%2Bbox&do=findComment&comment=3281643with a guide to atari 2600 inserts made out of cardboard and is encouraging others to do the same, but it didn't get much replies yet. Now if it's styrofoam, it would take a little more work, because it would (again) depend on people posting what they have, and the hardest part would be to sculp (to mold) the styrofoam itself so it would need some experience in sculping (but not so much, really, just some knife handling and patience). But I'll gladly make the how to guides and post it if someone post the pictures. -
Hello everybody. I already have two topics and different forums but with the same theme. Replica console boxes. I wrote on both Vectrex and 3DO forums asking for pictures and dimensions of the system (console) boxes because I don't have any of them and can't find empty boxes to sell. As I said there I'm not a die hard collector and only wish to have my consoles stored in a neat way. So I'm starting projects to design those replica boxes, but it's been very hard to find nice and clean pictures of all the sides of the boxes, and even the correct dimensions of them. In the Vectrex section, one good soul (Igallair) helped me and I'm posting the progress on the forum so if there's anyone who might be interested in it can comment and help me improve before I turn them into a real box. I don't have the intention to fool anyone into thinking they're original, but I'm trying to make them as accurate as possible. So why am I writing in the ColecoVision forum? Because I got the dimensions in some other forum and could gather enough pictures to make a box, but I'm not sure if the dimensions are correct and there's one thing or two that can be improved. I'm posting the pictures of what I got so far and would love if someone could comment or even send me more pictures and the so hard to find dimension. I will also start a project afterwards on the styrofoam replica, so if anybody would be willing to send pictures (those pictures are impossible to find anywhere) I'll be forever in your debt. Thanks.

Thanks Igallair, I see it now, I'll fix that. (I'll always thank you) Thanks hcmffm, later I'll post another side of the box that is almost done. And I see that you've done a pretty good vectorizing the manuals too. Congrats on that too.

3do fz-1 console box and dimensions?
Leonardo Biagi replied to Leonardo Biagi's topic in 3DO Interactive Multiplayer
Let's see, it's 40,00 reais a really good (actually excellent) full size print in an adhesive paper (plus 20,00 reais shipping because there I couldn't find a decent place in my hometown to print in a quality that I would find satisfactory), and around 10,00 reais for a good cardbox. 70,00 reais = around 20,00 American Dollars. It could be cheaper if I wasn't too choosy (I don't know if that's a word) about the quality. The real difficult part is finding high quality pictures of the boxes to replicate it and, of course, the dimensions. The Internet isn't big enough to find any topics where people would post them. And the main idea is not to fool others into thinking they're original, but to restore them safely and correctly, and to make them look good in the process. I'll attach some of my projects for you to see what i mean. -
3do fz-1 console box and dimensions?
Leonardo Biagi replied to Leonardo Biagi's topic in 3DO Interactive Multiplayer
I don't know why you're so surprised, that's not uncommon at all, at least here in Brazil. I'm not a die-hard collector and rather spend the money people ask on standalone boxes on more games. And since I have the systems since they were released and did not have the clarity of mind of today to keep the boxes, I think it's a good and neat way to keep them stored, and the Mrs. wont complain... And yes there Is replica styrofoam inside. (At least there will be, thats the next step) -
3do fz-1 console box and dimensions?
Leonardo Biagi replied to Leonardo Biagi's topic in 3DO Interactive Multiplayer
C'mon guys, just the measurements, doesn't even need to take the pictures... i promise i post the files when it's ready for anyone that wants to make the replicas for themselves -
This is what I got so far. The main difference is the game itself, I used a high resolution picture of the console instead of trying to use the one in the box. The ideia is to have a nice and neat box, but not to try to fool people into thinking it's a real one. But I'm trying to get as close as possible to the real one. Please give your suggestions and criticism.

That's a beautiful box by the way

Igallair, this is EXACTLY what I needed, that's unbelievable,I can't thank you enough for taking the time to do that. I'm trying to get this information since god knows when... If you would like I'll post the results so we can compare and see what worked or not. This is so detailed that I don't think I'll need more information, but if so I'll let you. Thanks again, it's guys like you that gives real sense to communtity. Thanks again. You made a 41 year old kid very happy... If you have different consoles, I 'm always looking and building alternative boxes. All the best to you.

That's great initiative KylJoy. As soon as I get the information, I'll help you feed the topic.

Hello guys, second time posting and it's a desperate request.(first time was the same request with the vectrex console box) Could a good and enlightened soul be a dear and send me pics from all the sides of the console box and the exact dimensions from it. I'm going to make a replica of the box , since I can't find any empty ones to buy. i did it with some other consoles and it turned out amazing. So, if any of you great guys and/ or gals could do this for me ( five minutes task) I would appreciate a lot and even make the art available for whomever asks for it. and I also make replicas of the game boxes for those that interests, and I take requests also, free of charge. I thank you all in advance. All the best from Brazil Leonardo.
