  1. I can understand it for space and logistical considerations. It still infuriates me. Unfortunately, I can't see myself ever becoming a regular enough customer to get special box treatment. There's just not that many games I want anymore that they'd have. At least some will make it to a collector, that's slight consolation. Well I was told by a senior employee, that due to theft, they were going to throw all boxes away unless the game carried any value. One day I go in, lots of Sega in boxes, next time there isn't even a shelf dedicated to them.. And the place on like 72nd on Greenfield in West Allis.. ah yeah, Record Head.. I HATE them.. seriously.. Oh and the second offer on stuff they don't really want.. just don't ever do it..
  2. Well, the Mega Media is now pitching all Sega Genesis boxes unless they have any value.. IE big $$$ Also they are cherry picking titles and inflating costs on them.. Milwaukee pretty much sucks for classic gaming. And it feels like selling your soul to buy anything from that place on Greenfield Ave..
  3. I picked up a clean nice A500, but it needs a new drive.. Can I easily replace the drive from a Amiga external drive, or another dead A500 that has a working drive with out any major issues? This is a official external, not a third party.. Thanks

  5. As said for sale, make reasonable offer.. ST and monitor in great working order, all cords and mouse! Just a little discolored from age. I am a non smoker also! Thanks! Dan
  6. Sorry to say but the auction ended with a best offer.. Not a bad deal..
  7. The nerdy guy trying to return the Gameboy is the same actor that was on "Enterprise" as Dr. Flox.. Neat videos!
  8. Thanks Very much, I'll let mine run for a while! Ok, so now I have the bug to play again..
  9. Some of you know of this auction! http://cgi.ebay.com/video-games-5-vintag...1QQcmdZViewItem After winning my girlfriend and I braved the journey from Milwaukee, Wi. to almost Marquette, Mi! It was almost five and a half hours one way. We decided to go up Sunday night, stay over and then head home today. We stayed at a little motel called "Cedar Motor Inn" that was a fun little throwback to the 70's, at least in room design. We arranged to meet the seller at noon, he's a nice guy who had his dog with him the entire time. he helped me load the games, I did bring some shrink wrap, but gave up on it after it became a chore to do. So here goes with the games.. All the games had no water damage, some normal wear, and in one case a karate kick to the area above the coin door. Ms. Pac-man - Cabaret - Completely wired, but the pcb was given to me on its own, so there prob is something wrong with it, cab is great, needs a new cpo and a cleaning. Pac-man - Cabaret - also completely wired, and had the pcb in unit, couldn't plug this one in as the cord was cut. The only damage to the cab was a break where a kid kicked it, It isn't noticeable, and a L bracket mounted inside should make it stronger. the side vinyl needs to be replaced also as some of it has been removed. Centipede - Wasn't supposed to work, but fired right up and I got to play a game or two at home. Monitor has some wonky colors, Cpo and trackball need help. Both start buttons lit! Asteroids - I have almost all the parts to re-wire this one, including pcb. Monitor might need a part or two? Anyone have pictures as to whats on the neck, it looks like its missing something. He was going to gut and kill the cab, I saved it, the pictures show how much it was needing to be saved. WWF Superstars - Supposedly dedicated? Works real well except the monitor is so dark, can barely see to play. CPO is old and dry, cracking up very bad, also peeling off the panel itself. Rest of the game is very solid and clean, esp the inside! Over all not a bad price for all of these. Here are some pix http://s425.photobucket.com/albums/pp331/D...nt=P1050432.jpg
  10. Not in it for the money, just a great bulk of games to fluff up my collection. Dan
  11. Yea, he did say the centipede was fully functioning, well once the monitor gets looked at, but I'll take a game that plays blind anyday!
  12. I did just talk to the guy who put the games up, and got him to send me a pic of the Ms. Pac-man Cabaret! Check it!
  13. Couldn't resist this up near me, well 6 hrs one way anyways! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=270266564706 And all mine! Breaks down to 144.00 per game, can't do that even at a regular arcade auction.
  14. if it truly is a 8 way, I can see myself getting some other verticle shooters!
  15. Yeah, but its only a 2 directional stick, lol
  16. New girlfriend is almost into the classics as I am, so I decided to 'replace' my Gyruss that I sold that she would have enjoyed. Girls into shooters, who knew? Just won this baby! http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=170249464668 Heres a pic!
  17. I checked, and sadly the Space Combat is the color Picture version of the Sears title! But yeah, after realizing it, there were 4 carts in that pile I needed also. They had 3 more packs, but I chose those two. The monster in me saw that I could easily spend 150.00 for all of them, so I grabbed only two and ran. The also had boxed Inty games with silver imagic titles and "Truckin" in it. Ah well. Dan
  18. Was at my local Game Exchange today and scored these! Snoopy Vs. Red Baron Solar Fox Sorcerors Apprentice Space Cavern Space Combat Venture Winter Games Wizard of Wor Worm War I Zaxxon Space Chase Spider-Fighter Spider-man Sprintmaster Starfox MASH Maze Memory Match MegaMania Adventure Fishing Derby Dodger Cars Dolphin DK JR - Coleco DK JR - Atari Dragster Baseball Basic Programming Atari Video Cube Barnstorming Berzerk Blackjack Boxing Beamrider Brain Games Popeye Porkys Pressure Cooker Race and last Reactor! They were sold in two bundles of 20 games each for 30$ a pack, so 60 bucks spent and cost only at 1.50 each! I also scored a copy of Cybernator for SNES for a low .99 cents, and Gauntlet Legends for PS1 at 5.99 and was scratch free. Dan
  19. I dream in Color also, Male & 38. I have had repeated thrift store dreams. What I find are old Atari carts, all with companies and gold foil labels I've never seen before. And yes, I get bummed, it was only a dream. Dan
  20. 19.99? Sigh, just got mine from Best Buy for 29.99 ah well.
