  1. I'm currently selling the remainder of my Vectrex collection with some rare and special items left:

Spinball Proto (Eur 225) + GCE Custom 220V system (offers > EUR 500)

These two items I acquired from the son of the product manager of MB Germany, responsible at the
time for the introduction of Vectrex MB. GCE Custom modded a US system to be able to run on 220V for testing/
demo purposes and also included an early working prototype of Spinball. Sold together or seperately.

NIB system (looking for EUR 500-600 offers welcome)

This is an unused French Canadian MB unit. The box has been opened though and the outside box has some
moist marks. Inside everything is pristine. So that's with sealed manual /overlay and matching serials of course.

NIB GCE controller EUR 175 - still originally sealed inside
GCE overlay EUR 75 - an aftermarket shipped overlay from GCE in its original envelope
Display stand backdrop EUR 75 - from a french/canadian stand
Presskit EUR 90 - rare presskit folder material GCE handed out to retailers
Vectrex Magazine EUR 225 - the illusive Vectrex magazine

    Pictures can be found here:

There's no pictures of the GCE unit there yet, I'll be happy to provide when interested though (basically a GCE unit with a different power cord wink.png)

All prices are excluding shipping. If you have interest in any of these items, please contact me through PM and we'll work something out.

    cheers

  2. I love browsing around in Kickstarter projects, it's such a nice way for anyone really to get his game, or whatnot, into the world :) Nice reading al your discoveries. I recently discovered 7 days to die, it's already in alpha and very playable, think minecraft meets zombie survival fps.. build your defenses and mine for resources, really cool game, multiplayer already running, and more to come. Also, a bit older, but still interesting, Grim Dawn, from the makers of Titan Quest. I'm waiting for that to get a bit further in developement, as the early alpha access is a bit steep (don't like that trend although it might be understandable in this case).. Also, did you notice the way Steam is hooking into the indie devs, kickstarted or not, with Greenlight? pretty interesting move.

  3. Those are horrendous pictures for any collector.. Unfortunately I've had the same experience myself too many a time as well.. What comes to mind is a $400 mint G&W Judge, shipped in a freaking envelope, box crushed a bit as a result..

:_( The seller handled it well financially, but the damage was done.. I learned to be very very specific to sellers about packaging, which still is no guarantee unfortunately..

the financial component (shipping for less than they sold it for) or pure laziness / lack of interest makes it that isn't enough..

In the end it's all about trust and relationships.. what are those sellers even thinking I don't understand...?

  4. After playing trough the first campaign I decided to install Immortal Throne, and I can really recommend doing that, even when you're starting a new character or

playing from scratch. It offers quite a few refinements to the original game, a few of the important ones:

    - You get a stash a la diablo (you just have your inventory in vanilla), for your current char and to transfer items to other chars.

    - It runs smoother

    - You can collect all sorts of shards and recipes to make new items which is very cool

This game is really good! I like the loot table & itemization a lot, and the low entry level to get into it. I finished the first act and got hooked doing boss runs

on the final boss.Really nice! The levels are quite big sometimes and could use a little diversity (lot of grasslands!) but I've got a few acts to go :)

I also like the fact it's quite easy to get runspeed (I hate it when my chars move ultraslow).

Haven't really tried multiplayer so far, but the internet options through steam seems to work fine. Also, it comes with a complete level editor, and there's

a lot of tools and resources available.

Since I accidentely deleted my D2 savefile last week, this comes as a very nice alternative :)

  5. Yep I backed the Kickstarter for the Collectors Edition and a few months ago when i was out a week with my tonsil removal i played it a few days. Was very enjoyable. Also be very careful when playing Titan Quest. There is an issue if your machine reboots while the game is running, it will remove your characters and it can be a pain to get them back.

oh thanks for that! I'll make sure to back up my save game directory!

Man this game is very enjoyable indeed! I never really got into it, but I really like it so far!

Played around with the alpha of Grim Dawn yesterday a bit to see if it was running on my modest Mac mini and if it's worth the $50 for early Alpha. Really good first impression,

although it really doesn't run very well... As I'm not going to be a big contributor to the Alpha bug hunting and testing, I guess I'll wait for the beta release on this one..

It really does look very promising though!

Now, back to Titan! his will be a blast multiplayer as well I guess...! (and with full internet support, really easy to set up as well!)

    wel
