  1. mwoehaha.... thanks for the laugh but seriously now: don't make fun of a collector friend! The least you could do is point in the right direction! Why haven't you told about Dave Elliot? http://www.dcell.com/hwerrpak.htm
  2. That low? hmmm... I expected it to be a bit more valuable than that based on the 7 rarity it gets on digital press and this link: http://www.racketboy.com/retro/sega/genesi...rive-games.html which of course doesn't necessarily have to be very accurate.. Anyway, thanks for your answer!
  3. I need two more PAL dreamcast games to complete my collection... Can anyone help me with this one? I'm looking for a mint/near mint copy. If the box is cracked, that's no problem, as long as the content is tip top.
  4. I'm not very knowledgeable about Megadrive prices.. but I know some ppl are at AA There's a box with some Megadrive games collecting dust like forever.. Most are PAL commons, but this is something more special.. As I'm more into DC, I haven't got a clue... I think it's NTSC. Can someone please shine their light on this item? (why the pics show up rotated I haven't got a clue.. sry.. they show upright on my mac )
  5. born in '69, got addicted to the arcades, spent every guilder I could lay my hands on, legally or not, in the machines, although I wasn't particularly good in any game at the time. didn't have the money to get anything other than a crazy orange home pong machine, (can't remember the brand), played it until the buttons came off and it broke down. years later got my c64 for which I worked an entire summer, after that the magical amiga, kept playing like crazy all through my schooldays. couldn't stop, wouldn't stop. got a pc, programmed a little. years later got a dreamcast which I played on a lot, not as dedicated as the earlier systems though. got an xbox after that, modded it. build a mame cabinet, finally got really good in playing my arcade classics into the sub world top for some. Started collecting. I guess it started to go down from there. The more you got, the emptier you feel sometimes. I feel like a woman in front of her wardrobe sometimes: I got nothing to play! I got it all: WE, 360, DS etce etc etc. some classics too, from 2600 to vectrex to dreamcast to lynx, jag etc etc with loads of games... And I do still play of course. but rarely with that same feeling of amazement, that magical feeling you're playing that wonderful computergame in your own home, unlimited in time, not dependent on how much money there is left in your pocket. Totally hooked by the graphics on your screen, the digital sound and sometimes even speech. sucked in to that new experience, gameplay you hadn't experienced before. With exceptions, but I rarely got even a spark of that old feeling. Most of the time I play for a few hours, after that I get bored. Just play for the achievement, to escape from reality or with a collector's perspective. games that did get to me the last years: WoW (I quit out of self protection), Res evil 4, live for speed, the interactive music games GH etc. and I still play arcade games now and then.I guess I just lost that 'lovin' feeling'. Which probably is a good thing for me, otherwise I would've gone the way I came But those sweet memories will remain
  6. it will more than likely plug into the Wimote. is the 360 Hori mod-able at all? Some Hori's, like the Real Arcade Pro, can be completely upgraded. Hmm, yes I agree, that seems likely. How do you mean mod - able? Everything is mod able But I guess you mean configurable with dipswitches like the arcade pro? No... No switches or anything for autofire etc.
  7. I have the 360 Hori Stick. It's not wireless (so I don't expect the Wii one to be...? ), the stick is microswitched, personally I find it a little 'loose' though for real tight control. The buttons aren't microswitched but operate adequately. It's a grade beneath arcade quality, but still a huge improvement over a gamepad or the likes for arcade. I know it helped scoring big on galaga on live:) Now if they only made it 8/4-way switchable THAT would be great!
  8. Thanks for the answers guys, you really made me want it more ! I'm particularly glad I'm not picking up an enclosure for nothing. How cool can this be? Analog steering wheel precision and feeling without having to sit uncomfortably behind a wiry, getting-out-of-the-closet-and-looking-for-adapter-steeringwheel thingy! Man, what ever can we expect for the future with this fabulous console!
  9. I'm looking forward to this game, it's going to be released over here in the Netherlands in a few weeks time. I've seen these steering wheel 'enclosures' for the Wii remote... Did any of you guys try in addition to the bare remote? I wonder if it adds to the realism and/or precision?
  10. and also: composite input (or rgb / svideo input for that matter) from ANY console on a modern HD TV sucks!
  11. Thank you! Now I know I need to order the component cable!
  12. So I know what to preorder: Which cables in particular are included in the standard package?
  13. '£179 in the Europe ' Other than that :drewl: Can't wait!
  14. uhmmmm, there's a tab in the sheet with all us roms...
  15. One thing I'd like to mention related to this is that games that depend heavily on the use of diagonal movement (for example Nanostray) are, in my experience, so based on the use of my particular DS Lite, very hard to control using the Dpad. I'm not sure if this is the case with every Lite, but the diagonal control on my system is plain bad.
  16. right, and please make responses more useful I'm sorry I made you so upset
  17. Which doesn't necessarily mean it isn't true... I'm not sure it's been developed by the same team, however, they both are produced by Hiroyuki Kobayashi and both in 2005. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1398329/
  18. I've been waiting to pick this up for some time now. It's still pretty expensive over here. I kinda forgot, thanks for reminding me This will be my launch title to play on the wii I believe it's been developed by the same team that wrote RE4, but I can't recall the source.
  19. For who it may concern: I made a simple xls sheet with all numbered Nintendo DS roms to date sorted by region. (I know, we have programs like rom manager, etc, but I happen to like Excel ) NDS_ROMS.zip
  20. Hu? I dunno about PDZ. I've only played through the first level some time ago, and never took it online, but personally I thought Kameo looked and played AWESOME. I was really suprised by that one. Probably would be in my top 5 best looking 360 games...and it was a launch title. Altho I guess like you said, they had plenty of development time. I totally agree about Kameo. graphically still one of the best xbox360 tiitles imo. Other than the terrible control scheme with one particular character (I can't remember it's name, the one which swims under water) a fantastic looking game, with brilliant gameplay.
  21. I'm in for a wii, although I'm not quite sure the new controlling method will hook me on the long run... most 'interactive controlled' games end up in my closet after the initial hype... biggest reason I'm getting a wii will probably be that I'll be able to play my GC games again on my HD LCD without them looking terribly crappy (those RGB scart /s-video inputs really, really, REALLY suck on those LCD's)
  22. thanks for the heads up! It's up for download now
  23. Why not? As long as it's noted as such, AND TG ensures the right MAME version is used, (wolfmame preferably which enforces a pretty hack & cheat resistant, pause disabled arcade recording) AND the right TG settings are used, mame should be registered for WR, next to the actual Arcade scores IMO. Some some of the worlds best players play on MAME and play game which would otherwise never get a balanced WR score since there just aren't actual arcade machines eft to be played on. Two good reasons why MAME score should be recorded on TG.
