  1.

If you're already getting up to turn it on manually, why not just plug the receiver in every time you use it instead? That's what I do because that blinking LED annoyed the hell outta me too.

I do but it is a pain in the rear because the fitting on the controller ports is super tight on the nt mini. it does not go in or out easily because the fit is so tight. plus when people come over (mainly friends kids) if a receiver is not plugged in it gets moved and I have to hunt for it.

  2. If you contact Analogue about this, they will send you a new power supply. Mine originally did the same thing, and the new power supply completely resolved the buzzing/hissing sound.

thanks I submitted a ticket just now based on this reply. while I Was doing so I noticed that there is a new firmware (3.9) up and ready to download for the Super NT also. Super excited to get mine.

  3.

That is because the Mini can be powered on with the controller.

Dont think i have seen that function in the menus in the Super NT.

Can this be a setting that can be implemented? I always turn my nt mini on from the back of the system. I hate having the flashing lights on all the time when the power is off so I have to get up each time to plug and unplug the adapter in anyways. would be nice if this was a setting that one could turn on or off. Thanks!

  4. Kevtris, I just remembered my 8bitdo wireless reciever lights remain lit up and flashing when the NT mini is powered off. Because of this I used stock controllers most of the time. Does this occur on the Super NT also? On an original NES or SNES they turn off when the system turns off. I hate having to unplug them after each use. My NT mini also buzzes if they are plugged in when the power is off.

    Thanks

  5. I am listening to the interview currently and I just heard this part where Kevin mentions this.

I hope the NT mini can get this function added as well.looking forward to his response.

    @Kevtris

A question form your interview on RetroRGB

You mentioned you’ve learned some secrets about Hybrid Scanlines. Is this something that can be implemented in the Nt mini? Also gamma correction?

Oho, I've made a repro cart of the same one you're talking about I think:

    test.jpg

Been using it to fix up some of the the busted SNES systems I've come across as a means to learn about the console.

Does that PPU demo swap between 240p & 480i modes as it cycles in the static images? Running this cart over the Framemeister & SCART freaks it right out, but it's fine over composite/RF.

I'd imagine the Test Suite will work just fine just as it does on a normal SNES -- helps people to calibrate their TV monitors for the best possible 240p output as well as for calibration of other things. I think you might find it interesting to check out:

is that screen from the below test cart?

    https://tcrf.net/SNES_Burn-In_Test_Cart

can it run from an sd2snes?

    Thanks

  7. It can't... directly. however you can make/load a custom LED pattern and set it to anything you like from off to darker or whatever. For solid black just make a file that's 768 bytes long, full of 0's. The file format is just RGBRGBRGB byte triples and you can force it to display one of the RGB entries specifically, or cycle through them. This is true for the nt mini, as well. The patterns on that work on this.

Thanks for the reply Kevtris. Is it possible to be added as a feature?

  8. Agreed. Clear doesn't look nearly as nice and the led looks like it will light up the room on the clear variant. I wanted to see the sexy internals not struggle to look though a milk jug.

Kevtris can the led be turned off?

I wish they would've posted pics of the actual shells for previews instead of the mockups. At the end of the day the one I thought looked the worst in the mockups actually looks the best (north american model). Oh well maybe just sell my clear and get one of those when they restock depending on how the cores go, we'll see.

  9. Kevtris I am really excited for the opportunity to see your 80gigs of behind the curtain video! Unedited or edited I don't care. Just interested in the process. Cant encourage you enough to share it whenever you have the time. Thank you for your skill set and interacting with us in the thread as well. It's a priveledge.

  10. Regardless of extra core support (which I am very much hoping occurs) the price for this just for SNES alone is amazing. I really hope they announce what if any limitations exist. I want to play marvelous (super Famicom) and can't even on sd2snes. If the currently unsupported games are now playable I'm going to be very happy.

  11. All I know is if Kevtris programs it I'm buying it. I would love an analogue 16 bit system with jail broken firmware.

SNES (with jail break features) is my hope. Announced after the next pre-order of NT Minis go out and around the time of the snes classic hits store shelves is when I hope we have an announcement if not before then.

Wishful thinking I can play tg-16 or neogeo soon somehow.
