Star Wars: ESB - Game 1 B/B 2,453 Played on 'Vader' with PAL 'Star Warrior' cart. http://atariboxed.com/index.php?go=detail&modul_refnumber=185 Ass hanging out this week. Literal single game on ESB right now to get a score in. Gr8 game imo .. and like everyone else ... u need to apply just the right amount of pressure on the fire button to keep the thumb muscles alive

Rampage - Game 1 B/B 59,000 Played on 'Vader' with PAL cart. FFS! Was just over 59,000 on 1st life (maybe 59,600) when the game reset back to starting screen!? Was getting a sprite glitch around 55,000. VOCELLI, because of the reset, obivously couldn't take a screenshot of score at the time. I have taken a snapshot to validate the Vader & Cart hardware. I have submitted 59,000 flat because I cannot recall the exact last three digits. I completely understand if the score is not valid to be submitted. Cheers.

Sega Mega Drive & PS1. Also, very occasionally brought out the old Commodore 128D for some 'Bard's Tale' from memory.

Maze Craze and Indy 500 are hilarious with mates and a few drinks under the belt. Plenty of game variations to try. Frogs and Flies is a simple 2 player game and good when downing some golden amber fluids. Motorodeo for some fun drag racing. Have the manual handy at first to get on top of the controls.

Only the good things about modern gaming
Spriggy replied to Flojomojo's topic in Modern Gaming Discussion
Absolutely m8! We didn't have any semblance of being able to play with friends .. without actually physically being with them in our day. If I knew then what I knew now, I can imagine being at home at night, sitting in the front lounge giving the 2600 a workout. Grabbing the rotary phone from the passageway phone table, dragging it into the lounge with it's mega long phone cord and ploniking it next to me. Then, gaffer tape the handset to my head and call up Flojo. We both plug in our copies of 'Haunted House' and start playing , with the lights out of course. Carrying on like fools, talking shit, calling out new tactics and beating the game. If only!!- 71 replies

Social Interaction Playing with friends .. without having to physically sit next to said friends. The onslaught of voice-over-internet-protocol and online multiplayer changed everything about gaming with friends and alike.- 71 replies

The Raspberry Pi and Retropie discussion thread
Spriggy replied to toptenmaterial's topic in Emulation
Hah. Likewise Bit the bullet yesterday. Pi 3 B+ with heatsinks. Running 2600/7800/NES/SNES/Genesis/32x via Retropie. You'll need the new beta Image of Retropie to run it on the B+. Also got my 8bitdo N30 Pro controller set-up via bluetooth. The N30 Pro needed the latest firmware update to get my R2/L2 buttons to register under config. Plays flawless, but it's only been 24hrs so early days yet. Gr8 little bit of retro console supplementary kit. Also still waiting on my adaptor to knock at the door (Retronic one though) -
I've got a listed new unopened 'Gravitar' ('88 Red Box) likely coming from the same source in Venezuela. Will be opening it as a player, hence I"ll be able to check out contents. @CPUWIZ. Check your PM.

A mild expansion on my previous comment ... At 10-11 years old... I didn't know any different or give a f#%k! (from memory). Smashed the 2600 port/version! Didn't have to tip-toe or stand on a crate to play the arcade with poise. Could sit at home on the furry 80's lounge and play the 'Pac' for free!

Speechless .. but with Speech . Talented woman! We have the 'Heavy Sixer', 'Light Sixer', 'Woody', 'Vader', 'Jnr' and now the 'Saturday Night Fever'

I was 10/11 years old. Atari Pac-Man was Pac-Man! I moved around a maze .. ate pellets .. ran from and munched ghosts .. finished the maze .. started another. It was Pac-Man at home. No regrets!
