For maximum drunktitude throw in a drink for unnecessary use of quotes, ellipses, capitalization, and the use of the full ATARI VCS-800 appellation. For every "dudez" finish your drink.

LOL.  Werner's making a list, and checking it twice!  For those of you not on his scumbag list, what's your excuse?  But yeah, I'll double down on my scum baggery.  In spite of COVID 19, Polymega is shipping units to beta testers.   The virus is absolutely a very convenient excuse to cover Atari's incompetence.   They've been stalling for time since the get go, and this pandemic gives them a blank check to drag it out indefinitely.

Ah, Wanker regurgitates the ol' "Bad Fathers!" line again.  Of course, we're not the ones who are scouring the Facebook profiles of strangers and making lists of those people, then making sweeping assumptions about them. Why, that's not disgusting or bizarre at all Andrew, but a totally normal and healthy behavior on your part.

And yes, COVID-19 is an excuse. Not just because other products have been shipping right now, and factories in Wuhan have been open lately, but because if you knew the first thing about manufacturing, you would know that Atari should have been in production months before December and March hit.  If you really think that Atari could have begun production the same month that units were supposed to ship, then you're a even bigger idiot than I already took you for.

Jesus! Looks like JV got a leave pass from the Zoo.  He hasn't been on IGG for while, but appears to have jumped straight back on the angry horse.

Mind you, we can turn him into a drinking game.  Have a drink every time he says "Tacoville" or "7th Grade". ?

The IGG page has been getting nasty again. They seem to have me flagged. My posts get cut really quick. I did email IGG again. I know, why bother.

Anybody got a good run down on what they deleted that was so good?

Nothing good has been coming from that place for some time.  Just noisy pigeons and an occasional meme-able quote.  Getting long in the tooth tbh, yet we continue ..... for taco's sake.

Yes, Yes.  Necropost.  But a legit 11 year update request. ??

Brushed off the Wii and 60+ games, guitars, controllers, DJ table, blah blah, as the 17 year old now wants his "retro console" to play with his mates in his room. ?  As expected, batteries not holding their charge too well.  Will cycle them a few times and see how they go.  If they are fubar, then what's the best option in 2020 for replacements?  What are the unbranded 2800/3600 ebay batteries like?

Or is it still relevant as stated in this old thread and use a AA rechargeable set-up?

    Cheers ladies ?

Balk all you want- a companies #1 asset is pretty much brand name recognition. To have that globally is huge if they can get their shit together.

And there in lies the problem.  Firstly they talk shit, then show fake shit, then show shit again whilst talking shit, then show broken shit, then make up shit and then no shit.  This will destroy brand name recognition.

You didn't mention whether or not you have a WiiU, because most of the "must have" games for Switch you probably already own.

If you don't have a WiiU, the list of games you need to get is a lot larger.

Let me just summarize it in one line: Breath of the Wild is the best game of the decade.

Animal Crossing's goal: buy a house and become an eternal wage slave to the tanooki.

    Tom-Snook-noscale.jpg

Nope.  Never went down the WiiU path.

Looks like I'm going to have to wait on a Switch anyway due to them all being sold out.  Oh well, I still have to get through half the Kingdom Hearts games before I can even think of Switch stuff.

    Cheers T.

No shit.  Checking online has me in the same boat as well.  None, Nada, Ziltch.  Meh.  No rush.  Crazy times. ?

@Spriggy - as mentioned before, there's tons of titles out there just depending on what you're in the mood for.  :)   There's tons of demos out there as well if you guys decide to commit to purchasing a Switch.  If you like JRPGs at all the Dragon Quest XI demo is looooooong.

i wasn't fond of the 3D Mario games, but I sunk a good number of hours into Super Mario Odyssey due to its ease of control scheme and fantastic visuals/sound.  It's one of those titles I feel like that every Switch owner should own.

Zelda: Breath of the Wild is open-world sort-of-Zelda-Skyrim-but-not, so your mileage may vary.  A sequel's been announced.

Mario Rabbids Battle Kingdom is a pretty neat turn-based strategy game, kind of like XCom meets Mario.

I'm currently obsessed with Animal Crossing, which is a life-simulator-sort-of game where the main goal is to run around and build up an island, catch fish, plant stuff, build things, that sort of thing.

If you see some titles that look interesting, you might check out longplays (I prefer ones without commentary) as well.  :)

Cheers Nate.  I already have an 8bitdo N30 Pro 1, I use on my Pi3, so that's a head start from what I've read.

  12. I hope @Tempest doesn't mind me jumping on the hijack wagon in here, as I am currently in the same boat, as of the last few days.  Saves starting ANOTHER similar thread.

After hearing some of my lads her in AA talk about how good the Switch is .... and with me having dropped modern gaming a few years ago (now only playing Retrostation on the Pi and my original Vader with a substantial library), I think it's time to get back into something like the Switch, plus it appears plenty of titles the wifey would like.  I was a big Wii fan .. and still have it, so would like to support Nintendo again.

But I digress.  Watching this and other similar Switch threads to help on gaming decisions. ?

Am I the only one who thinks that all of that sounds Way Cooler than anything Atari would actually come up with?

F#ck ... that was fast Goldy. ?  Enjoy your stay mate.  I heard some good and bad feedback about the resort hotel.  The Fat Elvis cabaret show is not bad, but more of a comedy as opposed to a serious act.  The Pigeon Tamer act was a let down.  Started off OK, but then he lost complete control when pigeons started chasing him all around the stage.   The TV in the hotel room didn't work either.  I heard it was very curious, as there was no power cord actually going from the wall plug to the TV.  However when you turned the TV on, the blue power LED in the lower right corner lit up!?

Oh ..... and the Taco's are shit.
