JLP images do not like .Rom format. That’s why I didn’t include them in that format when I distributed the files.

    .Bin/.CFG (or .Luigi) only.

So then is there a way to convert these JLP images (like Operation Cloudfire) for use on the Backbit and play on a real Intellivision?

Backbit Pro can only run some

Bin files without converting them. They either need to run through Bin2Rom or Bin2ecs and set the -j flag with the command line.

Thanks, I'll give them a try and hopefully between the jzintv and backbit it will cover them.

Where can I get the bin2ecs ?  not seeing that in the spatula city site or in the jzintv download.

  3. Ok, so the issue, at least so far, was that the version in the jzintv installer is not the latest 2020 build.  I read another post about overlaying the installer with these files and now the bin2rom works and Jzintv works with bin files.  the game is playable (only tested Miner2049er so far).  I'll try these in Backbit next.

The rom file is smaller at 52kb vs the bin file at 147kb.

  4. Hoping someone can help me out here.  I have the JZINTV emu (latest one is 2009 or 2011, depending on the .exe I download from the official site), and I'm trying to get the newer .bin + .cfg games working.  I've tried different resolutions, full screen, no audio enabled.  It seems like they are running, according to the prompt but I just get a black screen.  Some bin+cfg games do work and all .rom games work.

I have the grom, exec, ecs bins from the Inty Rocks disc.  Ivoice.bin I got from Nostalgia emu.

In talking with Intellivision Collector, it seems like the problem games are all JLP formatted images?

FWIW, I tried these on my Backbit Pro with latest firmware and I can't get bin+cfg to work on that either.

    Thanks in advance.

  5. Can anyone attach the bin2om utility that jzintv was supposed to come with?  Several purchased roms are not working in the bin+cfg format, and it appears jzintv is an installer now and doesn't include this utility.

    Thanks in advance.

Hi, When you buy both then it's $24 plus shipping, and shipping so far been $3.75

I had 2 problems with 5200 coupler: First when printed with different plastic, the opening was too small, by .2 or .4 mm.

Second, the vertical wall was too weak at 2mm. I solved that by doing a 2.1mm wall and 90% cross fill. I printed a sample wall and could not break it in half using my hands.

Hi, are you still accepting orders for these couplers?  I'm interested in both.

    Thanks!

  7. So after doing this, the update to 95 from post 105 took successful. Upon reboot it went back to those green bars. I have 2 memory cards with folders of .a78 roms, and some outside the folder at the root too.
San disk 32GB and Kingston 4 GB.
    same green bars. No menu.

I did reboot after the bios update too.

If you bought a new cart, it already has the latest firmware when it arrives and there’s no need to update before you use it.

However, it sounds like you attempted to update it and something went wrong. You’ll need to do the entire update again. Refer to post 105: https://atariage.com/forums/topic/314640-concerto-firmware-thread/?do=findComment&comment=4705962

It sounds like you got as far as downloading the eeloader file through USB and that this part was done right.

It sounds like you used the software to copy the HBIOS file to the card. This isn’t necessary and it’s not clear from your posts if this was done right. Really all you need to do is copy the file from post 105 to the card.

I suggest using a newly formatted card with just the hbios file from post 105. Just copy the file from post 105 directly to SD root. Insert the SD and power on the Concerto and the update should take place.

NOW... this is important. When it says that the update was successful and to press fire to continue, ignore this and just reboot the console instead. When you reboot, the new firmware should be installed.

Thank you very much. Will give this a try today/tonight.

This.  It will be very helpful for diagnosis.

I get the same green bars, or a blue screen.

Are you sure the PCB is not being inserted reversed?

The populated/chip side should be facing away from you/towards where the power and video output exist, having the bottom/back of the PCB facing towards you/the controller ports.

Yes, I'm sure it's inserted correctly.  It only fits in one way too.

After around 50 different insertions it finally came up and said the bios was updated successfully, then had a spinning disc forever.  I gave it 15 min. and finally powered off and on and still the green lines.

Not sure what else to try here.  My Dragonfly cart is fine, and all original 7800 carts I have work fine too.

I'm using hbios .94, copied over the Harmony software, which seem to rename it to hbios.bin

Anyone have any thoughts? Do I need to open the cart and maybe remove a chip and reinsert it?

Is your SD card formatted as FAT32?

    Mitch

    Yes, 32GB FAT32 formatted card.

used the Harmony software to load the files.

Can you just copy the bios file to the root of the drive?  and if so, what does the name have to be?

After turning on I just get these 2 green bars.

  11. After reading through this forum, I’m still not clear what files need to be in the root of the cart.

harmony 1.3 software loaded the eeloader and copied the .95 hbios I got here in the forums.

    my games are in folders

i get an sd card initializing error.

also the graphics and text seem like they have scanlines.

regular carts and the Dragonfly work fine.

  12. I'm also having audio issues with the Dragonfly.  Pokey and Yamaha are fine.  My 7800 is a composite and HDMI modded one.  Tried out of both connections and barely audible at high volumes.  Regular carts are fine.  Reading a lot in the forum here, is there a sticky for this yet, or a firmware fix?  (running 1.04)

For good measure, I tried disabling the Pokey and Yamaha in the setup menu, but that didn't help either.
