  1. The second one right? Your numbers don't match up to the second one. May be a dumb question but I'm the one ordering the part.
  2. I made them out of: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F173884715660 Atm only my selfie cam works so I did the best I could with shooting a pic. Edit. Could it also be the third hand I'm using. I took it apart twice with the same result. However the first time it worked perfectly. I took it apart because I forgot the heat shrink. I'm absolutely confused. The first one had the same result and was thrown away months ago. I had put heatshrink around the clips but I don't know if that's the problem. Here's the third hand. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.ca%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F272581507611
  3. My pictures aren't liked but here you go.
  4. Ok I'm making the y connectors. I'm having a problem getting them to work. I followed the schematic but it either boots up astroblast and stays one side of the screen and constantly fires or it doesn't do anything. Does making them too long play a factor? Any help will do. Thanks.
  5. 7805 +5V VOLTAGE REGULATOR 3-PIN TO-220 MC7805ACTG 5V? Does it make a difference which 7805 I use? Also what would be a good guide for making my own composite mod? I wouldn't mind making one similar to best electronics.
  6. So which one is it? Would it be the 8 v one?
  7. I have a light sixer and it won't turn on. The voltage regulator got fried. I'm just curious how to fix this on the pcb. It got burnt after I used a crappy soldering iron trying to attach an led. Yes, if there is any way to remedy this let me know. The screen flashes as soon as I put power to the wall after that nothing. It's been a learning experience folks.
  8. Nothing will blow up? lol?
  9. So I can just attach it then?
  10. Ok lol. It was pretty late at night and it still is *ahem* I bought a 12 volt led and don't know what resistor to buy because the site listed says it won't light up. So the forward voltage would be 12 correct? The site says an orange one is 2 which does not make sense to me. The lead voltage would be 9 and diode current would be what? That part I can't figure out.
  11. Ok I did a little bit of shopping awhile back but didn't buy the resistor. I have a 12 v orange resistor. According to the site cpuwiz listed I can't get which resistor to get. However on the orange colour forward v is listed as 2. Can someone explain to me? Thanks.
  12. Hi, I am trying to build my first mod for my 2600. It is an LED mod. I am trying to purchase the parts (not much to them) and am curious what does the led have to be rated for the 2600. All I know is the 2600 takes .5 A and 9 V. What does that mean for the LED? The wire is rated for 24 AWG right? This was the site I was going to order off of. https://canada.newark.com/search?st=led%20red Thanks in the future if anyone responds.
  13. Check and see if the DB9 port is missing a piece (pin) where it connects to the controller you'll know then.
  14. I just ordered the Genesis Controller Extension cable. I got some for my intellivision as well. Judging how slow shipment is for the past few months from China it'll be a good 4 months. https://www.ebay.ca/itm/9Pin-Gamepad-Extension-Cable-For-Sega-Genesis-Mega-Drive-2-Controller/173563596467?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649
  15. Guess I'm making a cable on my spare time. I saw one on ebay for like 80 bucks. Authentic comes at a price I guess.
  16. I had some Coleco Gemini Controllers included when I bought some games off a kijiji ad and when I bought a system. My problem: I opened them and cleaned them and there was black gunk all over the connectors. I first ran it through stella with the 2600 daptor 2 and it was funny. The dial moved the ship in defender and the stick when I pushed up would shoot but when I had the case off it would work no problem. I tried ms pac man on a 2600 and it worked the button worked and the joystick worked (with the case on). When I tried it on breakout the dial worked but I had to press up on the joystick to shoot the ball (This was also on a 2600). Now what I think it is I used too much rubbing alcohol and took something out of the board but I just want to fix and remedy it. There was possibly some black gunk that was supposed to be there possibly? HELP!
  17. Thanks. I'll take a look at it when I have time and when I get the system. I could add external ports on my intellivision. That's a very good idea. My questions next is: Have you done this personally? I'm just curious on the colour coordination before I get soldering. Will I need something besides the cable to do this job besides fastening the connector somehow to the casing? I don't have a problem doing but I'm going to open it probably a month from now when I have some time.
  18. Just curious what I could use or if I could get a replacement cord for an intellivision 1 and possibly if someone wants to help how to connect the cable? I haven't even opened it up yet to take a look. The system is out of the city at the moment but wouldn't mind some advice. Thanks.
  19. Found all my shopping atari needs at www.best-electronics-ca.com/ My next question is this if anyone can answer it. Would a s-video mod be worth it on either console? Is just composite good enough? Just curious. I have done neither on any console before but it would be nice to know before I get my hands dirty. I was thinking of putting a pause button on both regardless. The only thing I have a problem with the jr. is that it has rainbow banding on the rf signal would either remedy this?
  20. Can't edit. Fixed the driver controller by tightening the metal with a good squeeze.
  21. Hi, Just wondering how to fix this wire on a driving controller, so it is permanently attached. I'm new to this, do I solder the bottom on? Which screws hold the outer casing of a light sixer? So it can hold together. Which screws hold on to an original atari 2600 joystick so I can purchase them? Would a s-video mod be worth it on either console? Is just composite good enough? Just curious. I have done neither on any console before but it would be nice to know before I get my hands dirty. I was thinking of putting a pause button on both regardless. The only thing I have a problem with the jr. is that it has rainbow banding on the rf signal would either remedy this? How do you suggest I take apart a jr.? Do I just take a spludger to the back of it? I ordered so metal spludgers from ebay since no where in my city could I find them. I need to take it apart to fix the "on" light. I'm repairing a "deal" i got on kijiji. It really could be worse but some advice would be awesome. The consoles internals are working correctly so far with a solder job on the light sixer and cleaning of an additional console I got (A jr.). All that was needed on the jr. was to clean the sockets (cartridge and video). I got a large package of controllers that have been cleaned for the most part. I just got some paddles to do and a controller to put screws in. I know this is a lot of questions but hopefully someone can answer them. Thanks AtariAge.
  22. I am now using a browser and I have no clue how to edit my comment. Does it have anything to do with Tapatalk? Edit. I can edit this one. You may as well delete that other topic since I can't edit the original. I'll make a new topic.
  23. I just wanted to look at it. Lol no other reason. Sent from my SM-G930W8 using Tapatalk
