  1. EXACTLY! I know about the mods, but haven't seen any for sale. I think there is even a mod that lets you use a SD card with all of your game roms loaded on it and then select the games from a menu. I'd love to get that, even though a working clone system with a cartridge slot is great too. I'm pretty sure that the SD card mod has an internal Harmony Cart, with the SD part accessible.
  2. Composite and svideo have the same lag on an HDTV. The composite I was using on an SDTV because it doesn't have an svideo port.
  3. So the composite video on my standard TV isn't what I thought it could be, so I bought an SVideo cord to hook to my HDTV. The picture is absolutely perfect, but there's a lot of lag which makes a lot of games impossible to play. Is there any way to reduce the lag on an HDTV? Or just get used to it. Thanks
  4. Intellivision: Lock N Chase - another 1200 minute week 2600: Kaboom! - 300 minutes
  5. Do you mean the things that you plug in to the joystick ports that came with the test cart? If so, then no I don't
  6. Wow, the Cuttle Cart looks like a hassle
  7. I don't think Jap is a bad term. It's like when people say that "Mexican" is racist, when it's not. That's like saying someone is Canadian. What's bad about that?
  8. Modded my Atari yesterday, and it's all original. The only thing was the 1mm shield.

  10. I found a full manual for the 2.6 version and my Atari seemed to pass the ram and TIA tests, but I can't find anything about the 2.0 version. When I run it, it shows a frowny face and a "6". Is there any way to find out what the different numbers on this one mean?
  11. Looks like a clone to me, I've seen a lot of people asking about them the last week or so. Why don't you post some screenshots of the game select screen if it has one
  12. No, I had to reset it after that I found the facebook page, but how do I contact Keith?
  13. A weird thing happened when I was playing Lock N Chase. My guy disappeared, and in his place was the word "HI". I'm not sure if this was the system glitching or some sort of easter egg, but I was playing it differently then I normally do. I was playing 2 players alone, so that each game lasts longer. So what do you guys think? Easter egg or glitch?
  14. That's how my friends are. They can't understand what I see in them. All they want to play are FPS's and anything older than 2007 is too old
  15. It wasn't an Atari game. It was a time machine, that's why it has such old batteries in it.
  16. I have perfectly working paddles and a copy of this game. I just wanted to try it on an emulator out of curiosity. I guess nothing ever beats the real thing
  17. Thanks for this! Will give it a read later. Hopefully it will stop me from thinking my heavy sixer is really a light sixer in disguise. Alright I ended up going through it immediately. Mine is an original heavy . One thing you said was "Early run = "C010306 7 E" - no opening" But I have the C010306 7 E with a channel hole. Other than that, mine looks like it's made up of both older and newer parts. My ribbon cable is the green/white, and my board is tan with J's going across it(rev 5). The top cover, the Atari symbol I can't see the raised R, but compared to my light sixer the lettering is different. One looks like shiny silver and the other looks like normal white paint. I'm going to do a complete tear-down of it when my mod comes in, and see of the bottom of the shield is the thicker or thinner also. Thanks again for posting
  18. I have a port on my computer that an atari controller fits into perfectly. I remember I used to buy computer joysticks that would plug in to the same port, and I could use them. Is there any way to get the computer to recognize it plugged in this way? I don't remember how I used to do it
  19. I had Spiker a long time ago, and have no idea what happened to it
