  1. OK I have had this one for a while. After a couple minutes of playing, it will go to a black screen. Once you reset it, it goes for even less time. I tested the voltage and this is how it reads out: green & blue - 18.3 - was told it should be 18 green/yellow & green - 9.25 - was told it should be 9.25 green & green - 19 - was told it should be 18.5 Any experts have any ideas?
  2. I was kind of scared to power it on the first time. Since it didn't catch a fire or turn off the power I figured it was fine to plug into my TV. Could it cause a problem to the TV even though it didn't have any problems powering on?
  3. I came across a 4 switch atari, that can barely be called that. It was missing: 1) The power plug 2) 5 of the 7 switches, counting the channel switch 3) The POT 4) The video cord(and the place it plugs in to) 5) The case 6) Metal shield 7) TIA 8: And few resisters under where the metal shield should be I don't know what happened to it. So I replaced everything I could. I took a 9v power cord and directly soldered it to where the plug usually is because I didn't have any spare ones, and am still missing the difficulty switches, black/white switch and the resistors. When powered on it changes the TV from a blue screen to a screen full of static instead of the cart. Would adding some resistors and the other switches help it or should I just give up on it? If it is dead, it still gave me a few hours of tinkering fun.
  4. Intellivision: Beauty & the Beast - 9 min Demon Attack - 5 min Lock N Chase - 45 min Space Spartans - 10 min Atari 2600: Kaboom! - 30 min - Still can't get past 2000 points
  5. My Intellivision 1 through RF looks very good to me. I see no interference at all and it even looks better than a composite modded Atari that I have. Is there really any benefit to an AV mod for it?
  6. Wow and I can't even beat the first level. I'm going to keep at it and make this the second Atari game I definitely beat
  7. OK I have sat here for hours playing Breakout trying to get to the second level. Some versions of it that have different layouts after the first level, but I don't remember where I played them. I'm just curious about the original Breakout for Atari. I can get to the last few squares but end up using the last of my lives just trying to get them. It's really starting to annoy me . I can beat the first level of Super Breakout easily. Why is this one so much harder? And what's the second level like?
  8. Probably a quarter turn or less on Kaboom! to go from one side to the other. I have 2 paddles, one heavy sixer and one normal. The normal ones jitter and have the problem, and the heavy sixers don't jitter and also have the same problem.
  9. I have problems also. When I turn it on with a paddle connected the page scrolls rapidly because I have more then one page of folders on the root. I have to move the paddle all the way up and down a couple times before I can get it steady enough to pick a folder. Then when i'm in one, it scrolls so fast that it's hard to go back a page. Sorry for bumping an old topic
  10. A few days ago I tried to get pac man to play and found out that I also needed Puckman or something similar. Well now i'm trying to play Joust and can't find what it depends on. So is there a list that says what you need for some popular classic games?
  11. Can't believe I didn't think of Video Olympics. It's been a while since I played Atari. Thanks
  12. Just looking for a pong for the 2600 and can't find one. Anyone know of a good homebrew, etc?
  13. That sounds like inside information. Somebody call the FBI! Nah, just been following what they've been doing, and their enemies teampoison who are about to turn them all in, and they said there was 100
  14. it has nothing to do with 4chan there are 100 people in lulzsec, tens of thousands on 4chan
  15. lulzsec showed up a few weeks ago to hack sony in retaliation for suing geohot. They succeeded in taking down ALL of PSN for about a month. No small feat! since then, they have went off the chain and hacked anything they want to. Microsoft (yes my info was stolen!), twitter, facebook, CIA websites, Arizona police department confidential files. No one is safe.
  16. I played the demo when it came out and loved the original version for SNES. sad to see it go. I would buy it, but to me it's not worth $10. Maybe 5...
  17. I don't see why the Activision flashback console wouldn't work. There has been other companies release their games on a plug and play type device. Like Konami From what I have seen and heard though, Atari seems to be a huge douchebag, and it seems like it always has been.
  18. I watched the whole thing, David Crane doesn't seem to have much love for atari, or his games, or classic gaming in general. He made several references to them being stupid and non-relevant
  19. You signed up here to post this, and only have 1 feedback on your ebay, and it isn't even as a seller! This DOES NOT have 1) Second joystick 2) Paddle controllers 3) Game that came with system 4) Box inserts How can you possibly list this as CIB? It is merely a 4 switch in good shape, that comes with a box that isn't even its own box. Then you say "mint" but have admittedly not tested it! And for $100 after shipping! GTFO my site
  20. If they sell it at a store around me, and I have enough money the day I see it, i'm going to buy it. It's an Atari flashback, with new games built in, AV out, and 2 new controllers.
  21. So I have been fiddling around with the av mod I have in my atari, and have the color pretty much dead-on. The only problem is, the greyscale on color bar generator isn't in order. Some are grey, some are black, and none in the right spots. This makes games that use a lot of grey(Adventure) not look right at all. If I add +5V before the video out, it fixes this, but the entire screen is way too bright, and changing the TV or settings on a TV do not fix it. What could be causing this?
  22. This site tells you how you can get stereo http://www94.pair.com/jsoper/2600_stereo.html
  23. How would you shine up chrome switches on an atari? How do you even make sure they are real chrome? All heavy sixers have them right?
