  1. I got everything I ordered from Atari pretty quickly... except the game that I pre-ordered, which of course I realize it's a pre-order. The only thing that bummed me... my Atari 400 Mini... the box was slashed in two places by a box cutter... pretty jacked up, to be honest. I thought about reporting it to Atari, but then figured it probably wasn't worth the hassle. My guess is that this Atari 400 Mini was probably at the top of a box that contained multiple, and when the people in the shipping center opened the larger box, they slashed into my box...
  2. Thanks! I just ordered this same case!
  3. Yeah... that's my assumption too. It was very late 80s / early 90s when pastels were in. You should see my McDonalds uniform from ~1994! 🤣
  4. Quick question, did you pay by PayPal and originally put in a different e-mail address? If your PayPal address is different than the one you put in when you first started the order process, Atari would have e-mailed you to your PayPal address.
  5. Looking at their page now... the prices have already gone up. They were selling the VCS Onyx base w/ Atari OS USB for $71.99. Which was weird because the VCS Onyx base by itself was $75.95... which didn't make a lot of sense, hah. Now the VCS Onyx base w/ USB is listed for $89.99. I wonder if I snuck in and bought it when they had an incorrect price listed?
  6. I bought one, new in box from a flea-market seller back in like 1998. I really did think it was the coolest thing, but like you, I realized it really didn't make sense at all why this thing ended up getting made in the first place. I guess they figured it was an easy and quick way for them to enter a market where they already had a whole slew of cartridge games available to them, while also being supported by disk / software games at the same time. What I would want to know is... was it profitable? As in, did it increase sales for cartridge games, and did people who already own many of these cartridge games then go buy one of these systems. I know it's cheap to make stuff now in China, but was there a profit margin on these as well? It's possible they just jumped into that market to make some money and increase profits on their existing video game sales, while not having to re-invent their technology ... but just repackage it. On a side note, the commercial really gave me 80s nostalgia, being that age and actually being really excited by simple technology like that.
  7. When did you make the purchase? The "Cash Back" deal ended when the Black Friday deals started (like on Monday or something). So yeah, I ordered the Atari 400 Mini, a CX78+ Gamepad, and an Atari 50 Pocket Player Pro, which came to $183 total ... $213 shipped w/ tax. Literally one minute later in my e-mail, I got an e-mail titled, "Thanks for your order!" and it said, "You now have $60.00 in store credit to use at Atari.com!" ... and then it gave me a code to use at checkout. So, I immediately logged back in, and then ordered the Atari 2600 Epyx Game Collection, and another CX78+ Gamepad, which came to $64.46 shipped, and I only charged $4.46 to my credit card. THEN Atari snookered me again with the "OMG, 50% off everything..." so I said, shit... and then bought an Atari VCS Onyx Base + PC Mode USB Bundle, shipped with taxes for $84.90. But yeah, check for an e-mail titled "Thanks for your order!" ... but keep in mind, you would have needed to order by end of the day Sunday to take advantage of it, as the Black Friday deals started on Monday. ... as for the stuff, it's all already been shipped (I have a tracking number for everything), except the EPYX multi-cart, since it's a pre-order.
  8. Thank you! It hasn't arrived yet, but I WILL most certainly have fun with it... I'm going to play it till my 2600+ explodes.
  9. Just bought this on the AtariAge Store... I used to play DopeWars on BBSes back in the day, and the strategy for Death Merchant seemed like Mad Max, Oregon Trail, and Trade Wars 2002 had a good time after a long night of drinking, and a baby came out... I couldn't pass it up. Thank you!!! Now do a Usurper game!!!
  10. Hey guys, sorry to deviate... but on the "AtariAge New Releases" insert that came with your game. I see Akalabeth is in there, for the Intellivision... but I didn't actually see it in the AtariAge store (didn't come up in search). Any chance this game might also become available for the Atari 7800? Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that Richard Garriott's original Ultima before he started naming the series (or it's what it inspired it)? Thanks!
  11. Hey guys, I saw this in the AtariAge Store: Scorch - Atari 5200 – AtariAge Store Any idea if there's a plan to have Scorch also on the Atari 7800? I love me some 5200, but I don't have one anymore, and would love to get it on the 7800. Thanks!
  12. I don't know if anyone has looked (I promise, I'm not being paid), but the sales prices are insane. Like, the VCS... you can get a VCS WITH Atari OS USB, for $71, when an Atari VCS by itself is $75. Not sure how that makes sense... but you're literally getting a USB key for -$4 with the purchase. Same exact thing. There's some other amazing deals on there too for controllers and such. I would buy a 7800, but I already have the 2600.
  13. This would be a very financially dangerous store for me to walk into. I bought a couple of things from them online (awesome!) but man o man... if I walked in there... I'd need my wife to calm me down.
  14. So, the $60 off sale just concluded... and now they have a new sale. There's a bunch of stuff that's literally 50% off. I just bought another Atari VCS, but this one I'll use as a computer...
  15. Ooooh... that explains why there is a separate Atari 400 BASIC cartridge. Lol... it just hit me. Thanks!
