For those of you who have gotten points on the shopping channel once you buy points with your credit/check card, does the system keep your number in or do you have to re-enter it each time?

The only game that I have even it happen on is Guitar Hero, and it wasn't a huge problem. Haven't had any problems with the 360 or Wii, yet.

Even without the receipt they can see the manufactered date with the serial. It is unlikely that there is a large gap between those two dates. It was manufactured January and I forget what day it was. I'm probably going to have to pay either way. I'll look around for the receipt because I know I didn't throw it out. Maybe, maybe not....the 360 that broke on me was made in Feb and I bought it in June. When the guy on the phone asked when I got it, I told him 'sometime in June' and that was good enough, but I had reg. it with MS right after I got it. After you got it, did you reg. it with MS? If you did that should be good enough.

Seeing that you have only had it for 10 months it should still be under warranty seeing now that MS gave the 360 a year warranty. Just call them up and talk with them, shouldn't have a problem.

I just picked up the HD DVD unit today, and just got finished watching Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (doubt I will watch King Kong, didn't really like it when I rented it). When I went into my system memory it has a spot for the HD DVD unit, and it says 192 MB free, when you click this it gives: Unknown Title HD DVD Content, 425 bytes. So the question I have it what is the 360 (or HD DVD unit) saving? Or is this just part of the system update that it had to do when I first put in the disc? Whatever the case, off to Amazon to buy a few titles.

Same section of the game, I am (well was) a checkpoint or two ahead of you. Was able to run past everyone and make it to the APC. Just beat RAAM about 10 minutes ago. Will start on Insane mode this weekend.

I stuck Gears back into my 360 for the first time in about a month (just haven't had time to play). I am in Chapter 4, "The Long Road Home, Entrenched". I am up to the point that you have to make your way to the APC. You run into a few Boomers, and a time starts counting down. I can never make it to the APC, I either run out of time, or the Boomers get me. What is the quickest way to finish this section? Run to the APC, or fight my way to it? Thanks

Wow, I think I found a spectacular glitch in Dead Rising

bruser_inc replied to xenomorpher's topic in Microsoft Xbox 360
Nope, isn't a glitch. As long as you don't run into cutscene for the Carlito fight, you can run around as much as you want. Or hell, if you want, you can run into the cutscene and run right back out. Brad will die after a few in game hours, and the game will end. But as long as you don't run into the fight you can save, kill things, save again, quit for a few days, kill things, save again. Till the end of the 3 days comes about. -
Do Wii updates ALWAYS take this long?

Do Wii updates ALWAYS take this long?
bruser_inc replied to Jess Ragan's topic in Nintendo Wii / Wii U
It is downloading more than one firmware update (4, I think). That is being done one right after another, it just doesn't show it to you, it looks like it is only one. When I downloaded two of the updates it took close to 45 minutes to do. If it still hasn't DL'd by now you might have a problem. -
Thinking of buying Sonic on the 360? Watch This!
bruser_inc replied to Mendon's topic in Microsoft Xbox 360
I had a free rental and got it, and really wish I didn't. Shitty load times and the camera seemed worse than the demo. Got to where you first time you met the silver guy and quit. -
You should have grabbed that Wii. Why? I got one at 12:20am launch day. I have no need for another, don't feel like reselling on eBay.

Was out this afternoon looking to pick up some last minute things for my sister, brother-in-law, and niece. Went to five or six different stores (just to really get pushed around, I have nothing better to do today). Hit up Kmart, WalMart, Target, Meijer, Sam's Club, Best Buy. PS3: No one had any but Sam's Club, had a big sign up about it to near the video games, and at the entrance to the store, stated to see a sales rep to get one. Other systems: No DS (of any kind) to be seen at any store. GBA Micros were in huge supply everywhere. GameCube, not sure about it, saw a few at Meijer/Best Buy, but other than that nothing, but I don't know if stores here are still getting GCs. One Wii at Walmart. PS2/360s were in near full supply at each store I went to. Don't know if Sony/MS are shipping nonstop, or they just aren't selling.

http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/12482/Micros...ty-to-One-Year/ When I heard the news I called MS about my broken 360, talked to someone state side (shocker), he said that yes that all 360s now come with a year warranty. He pulled up my last phone call, ran over some info, and said they would be shipping out a box tomorrow, but not to look for it till Wednesday/Thursday because of Christmas. But the thing I found weird was he said they didn't need anything from it, (harddrive, power av cables) because a friend had to send everything in. The guy even told me to pull off the faceplate before shipping. Now when this gets fixed I will have two systems. Guess I could always sell the core, at a major loss.

No offense to EB Games employees but...
bruser_inc replied to MegaManFan's topic in Nintendo Wii / Wii U
I had a 'EB Games sucks' thread a while ago. Stopped back in there a few weeks ago and seems things have changed. The manager is now an older lady (mid, maybe late 40s), cool lady, she knows a crap load more than the old manager (who was a zit faced 20 year old). They have one worker (a college aged girl), who doesn't know a whole lot, just working for a paycheck, but she tells you what she knows, and won't give you BS just to tell you something. They don't push preorders on you, they ask you if you would like to, and if you say no, they drop it. And if you want to get a game, they give you a shrinked wrapped one, not the case from the floor with stickers on it. Seeing that things have been done for the better, I think I will start shopping more at the EB Games here again. -
The Walmart I got my Wii at when it lauched did the 'if you have an offical chair, you have a system' thing again. From the looks of it they had around 20 chairs, but I guess they ended up getting 25 systems in. They still had one when I was in the store at 5 tonight.

Great....my AV cable is kicking the dust.
bruser_inc replied to bruser_inc's topic in Microsoft Xbox 360
Though I do have one other question, if I were to get a new core 360 can I just use the HDD from the old system? Will all my game saves and all that good stuff still be there? If that were to happen I really don't want to download all my arcade games/patches again. -

True, never thought about doing that. Will have to try that tomorrow. -

The one that is broken, I got on June 16th. So any MS service plan is long gone. Who knows, maybe I can get my sister to call them and get it fixed for free, she was able to get my brother-in-laws fix for free (bad motherboard). -

bruser_inc replied to bruser_inc's topic in Microsoft Xbox 360
Yeah its the video card. Took the system with my AV cord to a guy across the street from me. Hooked my up with my AV cord, nothing, tried his, nothing. Callled Xbox told the lady the problem. Told her everything that I did, and long story short, it is the video card. $139 to fix. Don't know what I am going to do right now. Get a new system and sell the old one cheap, or get this one fixed. -
Was hanging out with friends this weekend, playing Wii and Gears of War for the most part. Were using Component at 1080i, and after about 15-20 minutes the picture just died. Would still have 5.1 sound. We didn't think anything of it at first, we just restarted the system and it worked. It did it again, so we changed it to 720p, thinking that would help, it didn't. So we switched over to just video with 5.1 sound. Same thing happened. Got everything home, and set it back up last night. Tried it on 15" HD set I just got, and it seemed to work fine, but only played for around 10 minutes, so I really don't know. This morning, booted up Gears, I GET NOTHING, just sound. Switch to video, get a picture from 1952. Now it isn't working at all in either mode, I just have sound. I am pissed as fuck. Do you think MS will replace it (I don't have a warranty anymore)? Or am I going to have to pay out the $40 to play my damn games again? EDIT: Or does anyone think it could be the video card in the system itself?

What is your Wii Sports Fitness Age?
bruser_inc replied to SpendTooMuchOnAtari's topic in Nintendo Wii / Wii U
First time I played I was ranked 78, because I didn't play anything before hand, so I had no clue as to what I was doing. On Tuesday I was 25 (lowest yet) and Wednesday I moved up to 27, then today I became a 59. -
Seems like it, but as long as the games are good, I won't care about moved back release dates.
