Headed over to a local chain on Thursday night to see if they had any Wii/PS3 games yet. I figured that they would, seeing when the Xbox/GameCube/360 came out they had two copies of each launch title. They had games to rent, just not a huge selection like with other launches. Wii: Red Steel (2 copies) Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 GT Pro Series Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam (MIGHT have been two copies of this) SpongeBob SquarePants: Creature From the Krusty Krab Eveything was rented out but one copy of Red Steel and SpongeBob, I passed on Mr. SquarePants and grabbed Red Steel. PS3: Call of Duty 3 Untold Legends: Dark Kingdom (2 copies) Tony Hawk's Project 8 Marvel Ultimate Alliance (90% sure it was this game) Something that made me look twice was the every game was in stock. Made my way to check out, asked the guy if they had even rented any PS3 games, with out even stopping to think he said "Just one" and nodded his head at another worker, "Call of Duty 3". Called Blockbuster (ugh) asked about PS3/Wii games and they guy said 'they have a PS3 now?', so I hung up.

Wasn't there pictures of someone with a cut up hand from cutting there hand on glass along with a broken TV screen?

Tried a 256mb drive, didn't see it. It would charge my iPod, along with a RCA MP3 player, as long as the system was on.

Nintendo has a LAN Adapter coming out sometime in January that will use one of the USB ports, but it isn't need unless you want to connect your Wii to the net and don't have wireless or the USB WiFi drive for PC.

What do you expect for a game that costs $4? I have Sneak King, played it for a few hours, might play it again someday. But it was good enough for those few hours at $4.

That is what a buddy said, for some reason mine uses a mov file. I don't really want to convert it just to play it. Oh well.

Was able to get online with the USB Wi-Fi connection tonight (damn it runs hot). I have to turn off Zone Alarm for it to work, but I wouldn't be using the computer when I am playing Wii so it won't matter. Won't have WiiConnect24 (or whatever it is called) running, because of ZA. Got the patch updates, so I am able to save to a SD card now. Will buy a point card soon and download some games.

Thanks! That is what I thought. Now when you say 'registered with Nintendo' I assume that I will be able to do that over the Wii itself or should I go ahead and register it over my Nintendo.com account now?

I took one of my SD (256) cards from my camera that I am not using and took a few pictures and video and tried it on my Wii. The pictures work nice (love the slideshow that it can do, along with the music). Video won't work, checked it out, Nintendo website doesn't have my camera listed as a 'known compatible device', who cares the video from my camera sucks. PROBLEM: Where do you transfer the saves from the Wii memory to the SD card or to save to it period? Is this one of the patches that you have to download for it to be able to work? I could have sworn I saw this someplace. Nintendos site only loads part way for me, then it quits so I can't get onto it right now to check. Thanks!

I didn't even know there was a speaker in the controller. When I was playing at 2:00am this morning I was playing Tennis and could hear the ball being hit, and thought the ball sounded closer to me, muted the sound on the TV. 'Holy Crap! This thing has a speaker built in!' Went into the controller setting and turn that speaker all the way up!

At this point, unless you want one of the few Virtual Console games that are available, there really isn't any good reason to get on line at this point. None of the online channels work yet (Weather, News, Browser). Really? When are they to go online? Anyway, thanks for the heads up!

Got my Wii at 12:20 this morning! My friend and I went to WalMart at 11:00am Saturday morning, they were doing a chair system, have a chair, you have a Wii. We had chairs 10 and 11, out of 20. We both stayed till 2:00pm. At 2:00pm I left and came back at 5:00pm he then left and came back at 8:00pm. At 11:30pm managers came and got us, and we were able to get the games/controllers we wanted. They only had 15 copies of Zelda, but seeing I am not a huge Zelda fan I passed on it. I got Excite Truck. Wasn't able to get and extra controllers because they people before me took them, but that was okay too, I can wait a week to get another. Still don't have the controller down on the Wii menu 100% yet, but have gotten it down in the games. Sweet system! Might head to Gamestop tonight or tomorrow and get the USB Wireless adaptor to get online.

I will be camping with a friend starting around 11am on Saturday. I saw for the PS3 campers tonight they had four TVs set up (PS2, 360, GameCube, along with over-the-air TV). Said they were going to do the same with the Wii.

Boo-hoo. The guy had the money and paid off people for them, good for him. Let him sell them to people who are dumb enough to pay more than retail. If Japanese dudes want to hire Chinese dudes to stand in line for them so they can resell them, let them, it doesn't effect you.

Went over to BB and CC and saw the campers, but forgot my f'n camera. Headed over to the WalMart near me, they are in the process of turning it into a Super and they are having the people stand in the entrance that isn't open yet. They have chairs setup with which model on it. Six in total (someone said it was 3/3). People were sitting in the chairs, but in all around 15 people were waiting.

why go and camp out for the Wii, when you can just freeze yourself and get one later? True, but when all is said and done you might end up waiting longer than if you just didn't freeze yourself at all. Nice pics Albert, I might head over to BB and CC tonight and snap some pictures. Depends on if I go out with friends for dinner or not.

I talked with a friend who lives near the BB here in town, he said that about 15 people were camping out already, each person looking to buy one. Two other people were camping on the other side of the entrance for the Wii. Wow.

Ugh...DL'd the demo off LIVE and it was terrible. Camera was so off it wasn't funny. Sometime I will pick it up, but not till it drops under $25. Hopefully the Wii Sonic game will be good.

I am going to go with a friend to WalMart sometime on Saturday with him to camp. Depending on where we are in line (I would say close to the front, seeing he wants to get there well before noon) I know I will pull out the credit card and get one, along with a game or two.

In dashboard or in game (doesn't matter): Push the 'ring of light' X on the controller Go to Personal Settings Go to Voice Under Microphone, Mute might be checked. If it is, uncheck it, you should be good to go. You also see the voice output here (headset, through TV or both).

As far as the PS3 preorder - camp out in a line for a chance to put a deposit on a system that I'm not guaranteed at or anywhere near launch? Hell no. I was able to talk to my friend a few minutes ago, why he was camping out to preorder something. Didn't really give me an answer. I guess he is going to head home for now, but go back to the store around 5am. We'll see. I really thought about preordering a Wii, but seeing what Nin has been saying about units, I wouldn't think I would have a problem getting one by New Years, but I won't even be getting one then, because tomorrow I have to go by a new washer/dryer at Sears.

A friend that starting tomorrow you can preorder a PS3 at EBGames/Gamestop, he got an email this afternoon about it from Gamestop. He said he called both Gamestop(s)/EBGames and all three said they were only going to be getting between 6-8 PS3s during launch and preorders were going to be a first come, first serve. So the dumbass went to camp, to preorder a system. Now, that my rant if over, does anyone know (or get the email) about the Wii? Seeing they are launching two days away from each other, I would think the Wii preorders would start tomorrow also. Maybe I will just head over to the mall around 10am tomorrow when it opens. I DL'd Totem Ball today, but don't have Live Vision, so haven't gotten around to playing it yet. Might pick up LV this weekend. Anyother games coming soon the use Live Vision (other than games where you can have a picture, I want ones where you use it).

I really thought about picking one up the other day, just didn't see the point, maybe if a few more games were out now, maybe. Just for the kicks.
