I was able to finish the level in the demo, after falling off the bridge who knows how many times. Wasn't to impressed with it, I will pick it up, though not till it hits the $20-$25 bin.

*Double post*

Well, I got the 5 day achievement but then my damn 360 froze up, so I had to shut the system off. I didn't get onto the ranking list (which is okay), but what really pisses me off is because I couldn't save I didn't get the real laser sword.
-
Anyone working on (or have done) the 5/7 day achievements? I started working on it this morning (11:55am-ish). BORING!
-
And just finished Overtime Mode...wow...I liked the A Ending better. Does anyone know for the 1,000 bullets achievement, has to be done by hitting 1,000 zombies or just firing 1,000 bullets? I thought in one game I was over the 1,000 mark, but maybe not.
-
Just got the A Ending myself, will start working on Overtime Mode tomorrow.
-
Yeah that is what happens. I just went for the Genocide Achievement didn't do any missions waited at the heli-pad and got the B ending. When you restart you still have the same level as before and the weapon is where moycon said it is.
-
*spoilers* Basically I just ignored all the cases and headed to the tunnels with the Horror Book that adds PP for killed zombies. I drove around running over zombies for a few hours. After I got the Genocide (and a few other achievements as well) I had a good while until noon, so I went and made a few untouchable drinks headed back to the tunnels, walked right into the swarm of zombies and started doing Double Lariets untill I got Karate Champ. Then I just went up to the heliport and waited for the end of the game. I got the B ending and unlocked an outfit and the weapon. Now when I start the game, the weapon is in the air duct room where Otis is. Just open the door and look over to the left. It's sitting in the corner. If you run out of ammo, drop it and go back to the air duct room, the weapon spawns from what I've been told...but only if you don't have one in you inventory. Thanks, just finished the Genocide achievement and waiting for noon to come.

I thought so too until I got the zombie genocide achievement. Once you do this and go to the heli-pad you unlock very special weapon. Lets just say MegamanFan would love this weapon. I took out the convicts in the hummer in like 3 seconds. LOL Dead Rising just got a whole lot easier. I am working on the Genocide Achievement right now, just over 27,000 kills and around 45 hours (or so) left in the game, I should be okay in making it. Now, can you explain to me how you unlock the weapon (other than getting the Genocide)? I have seen 1 or 2 different ways in getting it. Don't know which one is right. Do you HAVE to go to the heli-pad or just the toy store?

That was pretty good.

I started out with 500 kills and then I went into the parking garage and got 2,000 in about a minute. Then my car wouldn't work so I had to blast my way with a can of beans I think, a submachine gun, and a knife. Luckily I found a truck, but I got lost. Eventually I made it out alive with one block of health, but I didn't save because the case would end in about 14 minutes. Does anyone know how to make it so that there aren't huge groups of those yellow raincoated cultists scattered around? Yeah, that was how it went for me too, found my way into the underground (also found the main. key) would run down about a 1,000 of them go save and then do it all again. Still haven't hit 10,000 yet. With the yellow raincoat guys, throw something at one of them and he will come at you (sometimes two or three of the will, better than 10 or more though) Get enough distance between you and the big group and you should be okay. Also, with the yellow raincoat guys, don't they count for ANY of the psychopath Achievements? That is starting to piss me off.

Anyone just going out into the Park and getting the car and just running over zombies?? Great fun.

So....did anyone pick up a 360 Hard Drive for $14.99?
bruser_inc replied to bruser_inc's topic in Modern Gaming Discussion
Nope, took two of them to another Walmart in town (got back $211.98). Don't know about the other one yet. Ah much smarter. You just told them you didn't have a receipt and they gave you a giftcard for $211.98 I'm guessing? Yeah, I told the guy that they were bought as gifts and that I have a 360 with a HD and that I don't need them, and that they were bought at a WalMart store. He said okay, said because I didn't have a receipt and because of the price, it would have to go on a giftcard (which didn't bother me). He also said that I couldn't return anything within 30 days without a receipt. The WalMart that I bought the HDs at won't take back anything without a receipt. They have signs at all checkouts and at the service desk. I have seen people try it and they just tell them 'no receipt, no return'. -

I pick up three of them. Sears ran in the ad for the week 360 Hard Drives on sale for $14.99, which you know was wrong (someone fucked up big time). Knowing that they wouldn't honor it, I took the ad to Walmart and pick up the three, and went to the checkouts, showed the ad to this 'floor manager' and she said okay and gave them to me at $14.99. Total for all three came to $47.67.

Found this map on a few different sites Gives the whole mall map, and then the area in which the demo takes place. I guess, the map itself was given out at Gamestop when you did a preorder, but I didn't get one.

Had to DL three times (first two times, it would get as far as the controls loading screen, and just sit), but it was worth it. A good 15 minutes of fun just running around killing things. The only thing I didn't like (but it is a demo, which is okay) was when you run into another mission (side-mission?) area you get the movie clip, and then the demo ends. I wish they would have just have given a message about the full version and throw you back into the demo. But whatever. Can't wait for the full version.

I wasn't to impressed with the 99N demo. Run from one point to the other while getting 2,500-3,500 hit combos. Fight a 'boss' then keep going....I'll rent it for sure, but doesn't seem like a buy to me. Cloning Clyde is nice, also beat it in around 5 hours (at 100%).

Samsung has an HD-DVD/Blu-Ray Player combo player in the works. But it has been an on-again/off-again type of thing. Last I heard of anything it was on again, but that was in late June. -

Room 34 gave the answer, he has to have the latest and greatest. He owns his own computer graphics design company, what he makes I don't know, don't ask, don't tell. -

I have a high-def TV, and I am not in any hurry to make a jump onto HD-DVD or Blu-Ray. I have a friend who owns both a HD-DVD and Blu-Ray player. I own a DVD player that ups the rez (720P and 1080i) on normal DVDs. I took the player over to his house and in the end I couldn't tell if it was the DVD version or the HD-DVD/Blu-Ray version, other than by looking at what unit was on. I couldn't see a difference, but maybe I am rez blind or something.
