As much as I love sitting on my screened terrace/deck/porch/veranda, it's been too hot lately. I mostly use it during Spring and Fall.

That's the great thing about last weekend in the North GA mountains. The lows were about 63, it's always 5-10 degrees cooler there, than at our house. I was actually chilly for the first time in months!

Sounds like you really earned it! Anyone who works 3rd shift shift for 20 years deserves $50k if you ask me, especially if tech support is involved!

Are you close to retirement, or are you going to move on to something different?

I'm 46. I'm not going to do a thing for as long as I can stand it. Not having kids, and not having a mortgage or credit card debt made it all possible. Socking 15% of my paycheck away for those 19 years assures my retirement is in place when I am finally old enough to draw from it.

It is funny that people who say they hate something enough to give up a favourite hobby would then complain about hating the thing that convinced them to give up on their favourite hobby. Wait.

This is three years in a row at exactly the same time of the year. My mothers basment flooded May 1st 2009, my house April 30th 2010. This is a pattern.
