  1. Is this a hoax? When I go to EmuParadise it's up and running as usual with no hint that they will be shutting down that I can find.
  2. Anyone have any info about these? There are some reviews out that are decent, but I get the feeling none of them have actually played the games. Basically they are miniature arcade machines, but not the usual table top, but rather 4 foot cabinets. I know a good while back Target was selling some smaller multi-cades for around the same price and they were pretty much crap based on the reviews. I would snag one of these if the were decently built and played nicely. A bonus would be if you could load your own ROMS somehow. https://www.walmart.com/search/?query=Arcade%201Up&cat_id=0

  4. Very cool!!! The game looks amazing. The Activision folks were ahead of their time. Prototypes of unreleased games are just so awesome. I remember when Lord of the Rings was found, I was in shock. Was The Incredible Hulk ever found?
  5. Be sure and hit the PS store and download any free VR stuff. One free "game" that comes to mind that is pretty cool is a Spiderman Homecoming VR mini-game. It's basically just an ad for the movie that was coming out at the time, but it's pretty fun to play Spidey if only for 15 minutes or so. There's plenty of free VR demo's as well. They are usually short, but for me that is perfect because the VR headset is best in small doses IMO.
  6. Even though I was a huge Dreamcast fan, I never once played Shenmue. I think i might even have a copy, but don't think I ever played it, either that or I played it briefly but couldn't get into it.. It looked so mundane to me I think. Seems like I remember watching cutscenes, walking around slowly, trying to earn money to buy things, maybe it was too much like real life to me. I really need to try it again. I heard it picks up, but you have to play it a few hours before anything very exciting happens.
  7. Finally after years of talking about it, screened in the back porch of our small cabin in Blue Ridge. So awesome to be outside at night and not be swarmed by bugs!

As much as I love sitting on my screened terrace/deck/porch/veranda, it's been too hot lately. I mostly use it during Spring and Fall. :)

That's the great thing about last weekend in the North GA mountains. The lows were about 63, it's always 5-10 degrees cooler there, than at our house. I was actually chilly for the first time in months!

  8. I love the PSVR, although admittedly haven't used it in awhile. Be sure and get Littlstar VR Cinema app. There are lots of great VR music videos and shorts you can watch for free, and thanks to the side load option, VR porn !! WOOT!!
  9. My understanding is they are no longer updating this title. Something about the Friday the 13th rights. http://f13game.com/news/end-of-content/
  10. Always loved Superman as a kid. My friend had it before I did, but I would borrow his copy and play for hours until I got a copy of it myself. Always enjoyed the adventure type games that involve moving around a "world" and accomplishing tasks as opposed to a single screen where you just blast stuff.
  11. I always loved the original E.T. and had it when it hit the market. The pits make sense because in the movie, when E.T. was shriveled up and white and everyone in the theater was teary eyed (yes admit it, you were almost crying at that point in the movie) he was found in what? A drainage ditch/pit so it makes sense those are things to avoid. I'll agree mixing it up and including the parts being hidden in other places like bushes or even house would have made for a better game, but honestly I wouldn't change much other than that.
  12. I'm becoming increasingly frustrated with not working. Oh wait, no not really, it's awesome!

Sammich!!! I don't know yet if I retired. Depends on if I wind up needing $$$ I guess. So far so good.

Congrats then! Hopefully I can make it to the same goal.

  13. Never heard of anything that enabled Atari 2600s to be linked.
  14. Only thing I buy at Gamestop these days is clearance stuff and I only do that once or twice a year. I lost interest in them when I pre-ordered Katamari Forever for the PS3 and when I got there the day they said it would be ready, they pulled an opened case off the floor shelf and went digging around a file cabinet for the game disk of my brand new game. I don't care if it was complete, I don't want a retailer to open my new games for me. What kind of dumb-ass policy is that? LOL
  15. I love my Xbox One X for playing games. The load times are significantly less, and some games run a lot faster (I noticed a huge difference in the game Lies of Astaroth) but If you're buying a 4k TV to watch movies only, you might just save your $$$ for now. The upgrade from regular Bluray to Ultra-HD is pretty minimal. There are plenty of YouTube videos discussing this, here is one of them...
  16. I snagged one on clearance for $40 at a Best Buy about 10 years ago using a gift card. It wasn't worth the $$. It was a heavy duty plastic one with a cushioned cover and looked like a stubby rocker more than a chair. Needly to say it sucked hard. i can't tell you how many time people fell backwards in that POS.
  17. I bought the collector's edition after the launch of the game and after the bad vibes had hit the internet. I played if for a couple of hours, and really enjoyed what I played. I'm pretty sure it was before any patches or updates. I enjoy games like Minecraft, Dynasty Warriors, Dear Esther etc... Basically real time exploration/strategy/mining/sometimes combat type games, so it seemed right up my alley. Admittedly I need to put more time into this game, but I wasn't disappointed in any way. If you enjoy exploring, this game is GREAT!
  18. A new update today. That is very encouraging. Really hoping this winds up seeing the light of day. I've funded about a dozen Kickstarters, and all have come to fruition so far. I must just have very good luck, either that or Kickstarters don't fail nearly as often as some people like to imagine they do.
  19. If by the PS1 you mean Playstation, unfortunately the answer is "no". This is an Atari site and Atari didn't make any of the Playstation systems. Sorry. Oh wait, nevermind, apparently you can in fact discuss other systems here, carry on.
  20. I love video games. Liked the games back then, and like the new stuff coming out today. Video games are awesome!
  21. It certainly seems to be gaining traction again. Glad to hear that. It would be nice to say all of my Kickstarter projects have come through, if some of them very late.
  22. Are pre-orders finally being taken? I knew this was gonna happen eventually!!
  23. Today is my last day being on the AT&T payroll. After 19 years I'd say it was a great run! Time to do the stuff I REALLY wanna do now!

What did you do at AT&T? November marks 30 years for me with with Southern Bell/Bellsouth/AT&T. All outside tech.

You can finally dance naked in public without worrying about getting fired!

  24. Imperials or Stormcloaks? Stormcloaks, the Imperials just seem kind of rotten. Do you join a fanction? Thieves Guild, College of Winterhold the Brotherhood? Do you join all of them? All Light or Heavy armor? Do you smith? (You should) Light and yes smithing is awesome. Highest level you ever got? All trophies\achievements? All achievements. Not sure what level I am at. Anyone enjoy(ed) playing 100% Mage? I played Skyrim and Oblivion as an Argonian Mage, but for the most part you have to use some sort of weapon combined with your magic to really get anywhere in combat. Has anyone ever completely unlocked every location on the map? I believe I have. Not really sure how to tell. I don't believe there is an achievement for finding them all, but rather just a large number of them.
