I bought 4 duracell batteries with wall charger years ago. They last I'd guess about 20+ hours. I have 2 in the controller and 2 in the charging base at all times. I find this is the best solution.

I agree. Get you some (4) rechargeable batteries and rotate as needed. I use Eneloop batteries. They hold up a few years which works for me. When they stop holding a charge. buy 4 new ones. Easy peasy Halo squeezy.

  2. I can remember years ago there was a Dreamcast site called Bor Revolution I believe. Does anyone else remember that site? That site had a ton of ISO files that could be burned to a CD and played on the Dreamcast. Seemed like a lot of the games were just graphic hacks of some side scrolling fighting game (I think one of the Streets of Rage) but they would change the graphics to be the film Aliens, or Resident Evil, etc... Totally not legit, but based on the screen shots were really well done. They also had other more original (if kind of simple) homebrew games. I can recall downloading some of them, and may have even burned some to disk, but if I did I don't know I ever played them. Probably have them on a spindle somewhere.

  3. I LOVE RPGs and the Dreamcast and I know this game get high praise, but I've never played it. Not once.

Graphic wise, it really doesn't look that impressive to me for some reason. Every time I see videos of the game, I just think it looks kinda...bleh.

What exactly makes this RPG stand out?

  4. Been crazy busy fixing up my house after a huge tree fell on it, then selling said house and moving to our cabin in the North GA mountains. Internet here sucks (5mbs) so I can no longer game online, and I've been setting up, fixing up our property here so I haven't been gaming much the entire year this in spite of the fact I'm no longer working.  All that said I have manage to play some games from time to time. Mainly Borderland 3 (The new DLC they just released) and a game I bought off my Amazon wish list a few weeks back called Pillars of Eternity.  I think it was a Kickstarter project that eventually got released at retail. Its pretty cool if you're a fan of old school RPGs. I'm hoping one day to not be so bust so I can really dive into my "to play" pile which is beyond HUGE.

  5. I've beat Shadowman more than once. Super impressive game to me. Omikron I've never beat, I played it for hours and hours and eventually got stuck. Even after getting stuck I wandered around for more hours trying to move on but never could. I think I recall finding out later that you have to DIE in the game to progress. That's why it's sub titled "Nomad soul"

I've gone back and revisited these games on the Dreamcast and on Steam but the controls just didnt jive with me anymore. Got too spoiled by modern controllers I guess.

  6. In addition to a huge package of mixed nuts, I got a bunch of #1 issues of comics (Not pictured) Some cool Star Wars and D&D figures and a super nice complete copy of Mountain King! I had a boxed Mountain King, but it was in terrible condition. The front of the box was ripped across. I love my mint copy! Used to have this game as a kid and always loved it!

I haven't heard from my recipient yet but tracking shows it got there.

Same, Hopefully they received them, never know these days. I've had eBay items shown delivered and then the people say they never received the package. In one case I had to refund them, in another a week later a neighbor brings it to them.

  8. Wow what an old thread. The crazy thing is, I was just thinking about this game a few days ago. It's been years since I've played it, but I had a hankering to pop it in. No clue why it was never released anywhere else. Seems like it could have worked with the PS Move or the Kinect. We're moving soon and a lot of my stuff is packed up right now, but once we're fully moved I think I'm going to design my new gaming space with plenty of room for exploring motion control games more, and also the PSVR. I always felt cramped trying these types of games at my current house. MadWorld will definitely be at the top of my list, it's been many years since I've even had a Wii hooked up.

  9. My package is ready to go but I'll be waiting until sometime early December to send it off. That said, curious how many people are planning on waiting till Christmas to open the AASS goodies, as opposed to just tearing into everything like a wild dog the second it hits your mailbox. I think last year I mostly waited until Christmas day and plan on doing the same again this year.
