  1. Remind me never to come to your house for breakfast Albert!!
  2. I think its pretty universal...People like emu because of the amount of games you can experience... But there's something soooo cool about firing up the old Atari. Brings you back to your childhood I guess.
  3. I'm confused...Why would you want someone else to write a wish list for you? Isnt a wish list stuff you want? That said if it were my wish list... I'd ask for Gamecube AND Gameboy Advanced... That way you can hook them together..WooHoo!!
  4. Well I checked but unfortunately dont have that one...Sorry
  5. Oh yeah I still do love Atari. BTW I checked and even tho its pretty rare the game now sells for 5 bucks. Lemmie know the address and I'll get a check right out to you. Thanks
  6. Does anyone know what happened to this site? All I have is: http://www.geocities.com/gameagain_2000/links.html I remember a couple months back I would check up on this site. They had announced a survival horror game for the atari 2600. It sounded like robotron but with zombies coming at you from all sides. Anyways. I went to check the link and I can get to the page but there nothing there anymore, just a links page with no way to back up. I tried: http://www.geocities.com/gameagain_2000/ No good!!!! Did it move!! For the love of god..does anyone know!!!!!
  7. I know this about the overflowing amounts of quadruns in Kay-Bees. I used to hit all the bargin bins in the toy stores and buy up the cheap games,Kay-Bees in particular because the mall was within walking distance of my house in Ohio. This spanned 3 states Ohio (where I lived), Georgia (where my dad lived ) and Wisconsin (where my grandmother lived) I saw and bought alot of "great" games cheap. I can honestly say in all my searching. I can't remember ever even coming across Quadrun. In Kay-Bees or anywhere else. But thats just my experience. I did once dream my grandmother gave me huge box of atari carts on a boat dock once. Funny I still remember that. God I loved Atari as a kid.
  8. Where the Jpeg??? What a disappointment. But yeah that sucks..I'da punched her! Right in the box!! J/K
  9. Yes I was thinking the same thing...It was also called Apple Panic on some computers.
  10. I'd go with Montezumas Revenge. That game is great but I never heard much about it when I was growing up. They really packed alot on to that cart I thought.
  11. Possibly...I HAD a pretty good collection of old video game magazines. I'll have to check though. I sold off alot of them in auctions about 3 years ago. I'll check when I get home.
  12. Wow!! I think it looks great. I too remember thinking as a kid that this was a great game...But something just wasnt right with the graphics. Thanks Rhindle!!
  13. Take Care. Both of you. And thank you Osbo.
  14. Well theres plenty of rarity guides posted all over then net if thats all you want is a rare game. My suggestion would be, to goto the place, see what they have in stock at the moment...and purchase what sounds good or games you never heard of before. Makes sense to me.
  15. When I started the topic I wasnt thinking of games like adventure and Tunnel Runner. ..but now that I think back youre right!! I can remember honestly being scared as Im moving around, all quiet like in Adventure, and all of a sudden this big ass dragon is trying to munch down on me....Or booking it down the tunnel as fast as I can, not knowing where I was going, because I turned the corner in Tunnel Runner and that music started blaring!! Ekkkkk!!!
  16. Atari Lynx maybe? It would make sense. The system was portable...Maybe some kid brought the game to school. Dont know...Maybe when you see the box you'll know? I'd think it would say on the box hu?
  17. Wow this topic has my name all over it! I started collecting things when I was a kid. I used to save all my Atari boxes and pin them up to my bed room walls. At that time Id collect Audio Cassettes, Atari Games, Magazines (Fangoria, Famous Monsters) Comic books, Action Figures (Never took care of them tho). The collections were modest and I never really took care of my collections. As I got older and a steady income. It got worse! I started collecting VHS tapes (mostly horror) I now have well over 1500 VHS tapes that occupy their own room. Lately its DVD (have about 150 again mostly horror) The comic book collection over the years now occupy 6 long boxes and 2 half boxes full with a bunch carded and bagged just laying in stacks. The magazines about 7 boxes and include (video games, cult movie mags, maxim, toyfair etc...) Every inch of my spare bedroom is covered with unopened action figures. As far as game systems Fairchild (I think I fried this a few years back) Odyssy, Atari 2600, 5200, 7800, Jaguar, Intellevision, Colecovision, Sega Master, Turbo GFX-16, NES, SNES, Nin 64, Playstation 1 & 2, Dreamcast. Many are boxed. About 4 years ago I sold off a ton of my collection. (2600's 5200's 7800's Colecovisions,Vetrex *groan*, Intelivisions) I would put up weekly auctions on ebay, I needed quick $$$ for a house I had bought. At the present I dont collect anything as all my cashh is tied up. And when I do add to my collections I usually focus on one at a time. Like for 3 or 4 months, I'll collect action figures...then next it'll be Atari etc... So to answer what else do you collect??? EVERYTHING!!! Now can someone loan me some money?
  18. Or the McDonalds for that matter..... Ok no not really. Hey does anyone know if the Sega games based on Paramount movies... 48 hrs, Friday the 13th etc.... Ever got off the drawing board? I saw articles in the video game mags announcing them but never heard a thing after that.
  19. Yeah I saw that ambulance game... Pretty hiliarious/gruesome depending on how you look at it....You see a pic of the person your transporting with a heart monitor attached to him. Everytime you hit something...He moans and the heart monitor gets a little worse. Sick. Anyways to the topic. Id like to see a port of Turok the Dinosaur Hunter to the 2600. That would be cool also wouldnt mind to see Dragons Lair.... Can someone whip up a ld player compatible with the Atari 2600? Thanks
  20. Well I sold off most of my collection about 4 years ago when I bought my house. But Im like Pitbull and have a thing for unopened boxes. I think at that time my fav was an un-opened Imagic "No Escape" With a joystick offer sticker on the shrinkwrap. (Thats how I knew it had never been opened.) Now with my collection diminished. (I have about 91 different loose carts mostly commons and about 20 boxed) I guess my favorite is an unopened copy of "Bugs"... Yeah its pitiful aint it? Non cart stuff is my collection of old video game magazines. I like to page thru them every now and again. Also I have a non-working joystick shaped like the Colecovision super-controllers that I havent been able to identify. It was made by Mastertronic and had a pistol grip bottom with the joystick sticking out the top with one button behind the joystick that you pushed with your thumb...Thats pretty cool...If only it worked.
  21. I dont think its the same game. I had the/a hobbit text adventure for Commodore 64. That just used picture to show your surrounding in each screen. The Atari version didnt have any text. I seems to me I read an article somewhere of someone who actually saw it years ago unfinished. He said most of the screens looked the same, and that creatures would pop up and youd have to "fight" them....He didnt sount too inthralled with it. I'll try to find where I read that.
  22. Go Marco GO!!! Wouldn't even think about bidding against you. Heck if I ever even think of paying that much for an Atari game. Shoot Me!!!
