I look forward to AASS every year! I even wrote a little jingle that we traditionally sing around the yule log.
Sung to the tune of London Bridge is Falling Down....
"AASS comes but once a year, now it's here, now it's here! AASS comes but once a year...Silver Shamrock."

My friend got this game back in the day and we stayed up later than I ever remember staying up, up to that point. (Like 1am!)
Looking back it is crazy repetitive and I'll admit we never really knew what we were actually doing other than trying to get the page/panel numbers to appear.
We had so much fun that night because we were sure we were going to "beat" the game, but afterwards I never dedicate much time to it. It would be cool to have a more structured adventure with actual goals.

Wow..so the game is buggered ehh? That isn't normal for Borderlands releases or at least I don't recall the 1st and 2nd game when I played them on PS3 being that way. The ONLY glitch I've seen in a BL game is actually the enhanced version on PC. It will always show a custom icon in the upper left even when I remove it by clicking on it. It will come back on its own within a few min or when changing areas. Really annoying as it messes me up looking at the maps to see where my objectives are and they are off map and I get confused where I actually need to go. But...that is the only glitch I've seen aside from the usual you see in games like this with clipping issues and the like.
Oh man, I dunno maybe it's just the PS4 version, but the glitches we've encounter just suck. I was playing with 2 others, and they dueled, after which one of them would float in the air!! We were on Sanctuary at the time, so the roof prevented him from going up too far, we fast traveled to a city area thinking that would clear it, but nope. He could walk around VERY slowly, but when he would jump, he literally would float up and up and up into the map til we could see him!! He could ground pound and come back down to earth, again moving VERY slowly, but as soon as he'd jump...up up and away! I've also had quest where I needed to collect 5 things, but only 4 ever showed up forcing me to quit and go back back into the game, and I've also experienced NPC getting caught in a dialog loop where they just keep repeating the same clip over and over and over regardless what quest I switch to. Not to mention just over all lagging sometimes. even when playing solo. Just bad stuff that is really disappointing because as you pointed out, it seem so unusual since the Borderlands in the past have been pretty solid titles.

I've played it up to around level 12 using Mose the gunner, and played a bit using Fl4k the Beastmaster (I think to level 4) My honest opinion is this game is broke.
Too many glitches for my tastes. Sad really, but I think that's gaming 101 for bug budget titles these day. Seriously considering returning this before I even finish it. I might buy it again a couple years from now when they release an "ALL IN DELUXE" version with all DLC and extras unlocked with the glitches hopefully fixed for $19.99.

This is a fun little game. Pretty wild that it started out as a TRS-80 Color Computer game. I played it once so far and scored 34 which wasn't great, but I also had no clue what I was doing or what was safe to touch. I played again and scored 53 and got to the Bat Boss, but died. , I was able to collect a few items like bananas and something that looked like maybe a flash light? Not sure, i wasn't able to figure out how to use the items or maybe they just activate? One thing that confused me was at the end it didn't show that I had collected either of the items. Both I could identify but said = 0 so maybe it was because I never used them? Like I said I had 53 Avocados and those showed up. Over all a very fun game. Thanks!

All I can see is this:
The seller must have pulled the item. it was a picture perfect label on a loose Birthday Mania that the guy said he had laying around in a box and the guy was only asking $1,000,000.

Sweet now I don't have to drop $1,000,000 to play this game!!

Ooooh that is pretty cool. I always like the concept of an interactive story and hope they make new games as well. Their titles were always based on established IPs, but I wouldn't mind original stories. Also holiday themed games like stories based around Halloween or Christmas could be interesting if done right.

I know they re-booted Yars Revenge about 10 years ago. Could it be something trying to promote the reboot?

Borderlands 1 is in the Humble RPG Bundle this week. $15 takes it, which is a fair price.
I snagged it a couple weeks ago for $15 on the PSN store. I already have it and played through it on the Xbox360, but it's been so long I figured what the heck plus the copy of 3 I'm getting will be on the PS4.. Brought back a lot of memories. Even after years and years everything is so familiar, and I still know where to go without checking the map much. Borderlands games might be in my top 5 of best EVER!

The first character I'm going to use is the Beast Master.
I like summoning things to do the fighting for me. My main character (LVL 80) in Borderlands 2 is the Mecromancer.

Anyone else excited about the upcoming Borderlands 3? I am and have pre-ordered the PS4 Super Deluxe Edition that includes a bunch of in game swag and the season pass for future DLC! I've even joined the VIP site where you can "earn" points to "buy" more in game items, new guns, new heads and skins etc.... I haven't been this excited for a game in awhile. I already have a few people I know are getting the game and can't wait to co-op. If anyone else is interested in co-op, my PS username is moycon, if you're interested in VIP, send me a PM and I'll shoot you a referral to the VIP site and a link to past codes to boost your points!

I joined Loot Crate when it first started. I recall for how long maybe 3 or 6 months. I liked it just fine, it was like $18 a month and you got some cool stuff (I still wear my Groot socks) along with some pretty worthless stuff. I can never throw stuff away though, and the boxes were piling up. I eventually cancelled. I did wind up getting a GIANT $100 Fallout 4 Lootcrate a few years later when the game launched and was pretty pleased with it. For me it was a fun thing to try out for a few months. I didn't see it lasting forever though.

Oh man I need to break out my copy and give this another go!

It's times like this when I wish I was still working and had plenty of disposable income! Looks fantastic!

Maybe you needed to do those side quests the first go round to be leveled up enough to stand a chance in a overpower game.
Just a guess though, I have this game, but only played it about 20 minutes. From what I remember it was pretty cool though.

Very cool! Always interesting to see prototype info! I think some of the early Popeye screens were better than the released ones.

If you are just wanting to read the comics themselves, and don't care if they are originals, all were collected in a digest sized book a couple years ago.

Glad some of you were able to get the C.E. at a great price!! I'm a sucker for them.

This one is good but it doesn't play quite the same as the original. Battles are different, multiple concepts in the game with some very light town management.
I think I preferred the overall story in the first game a lot more. But I was always wanting to keep playing to see the end.
Maybe that's why the C.E. was selling so cheap. The originals C.E. is crazy expensive these days, there must not have been as much demand for the sequels C.E. Or maybe they just didn't manufacture as many. My Ni No Kuni 2 C.E. says 274/25000 I'll be checking it out soon. I guess I shouldn't get my hopes up too high though.

I grabbed the huge Collectors Edition directly off the Bandai site a few weeks ago. Originally $199 I couldn't pass it up at $50. Haven't had the chance to get into it yet, but enjoyed the first one very much!

if I ignore movies I want to grab on the video store that are in HD and not on Blu-Ray.
I will say this, I seem to have issue playing the videos I've purchased after the fact that I've gone off-line with the 360. Even though I transfer the licence, and download the videos. I still get errors saying something is missing when I go to try and play them. Not sure what is up with that.

Wow blast from the past! I still own that Vectrex and wound up making my own replacement out of a wood dowel of all things, but I'll for sure check out some of the newer options!
