  1. Congrats to the winners! Now when do we get to spend some money and enjoy this sweet game (aside from early builds)?
  2. Final Selection round sounds super deadly serious . I don't know if I can take this level of excitement. Seriously, I have a bad ticker. Maybe some gentle sounding process. Like, "most pleasant upon one's eye grouping".
  3. I was thinking Nathan should update his label with "HOT, Two player action!" In fact, any label with a woman on it should have that... and yes, I'm that sad...
  4. I really need a Smash TV arcade machine. It's been years since i've visited a Pleasure Dome...

Not sure if you want to play any home ports, but the XBox 360 one is very good.

Me too, as well as a Robotron 2084.

The PS2 version always worked for me, but I just played the arcade recently and it's too much fun, even more so with a buddy. I LOVE Robotron, but man that game just hates me.

  5. Here's a peak at one more label i should have in by the deadline, unless i just jinxed myself.
  6. Thanks! Ink, then watercolor, which had I been smarter I would have gone pencil first, so I could have covered my mistakes easier.
  7. I'd like to have me a version of Canyon Climber on the 2600. I love it on my 8bit, but don't like the load times as much.
  8. Megamania Pitfall II Juno First Duck Attack Video Olympics Warlords Super Breakout Asteroids Berzerk Demon Attack
  9. I just picked up Canyon Climber on cassette for my 8-bit. I've had an article on that game forever in an old issue of Joystick, so i figured i'd give it a go.
  10. Basic Programming has that "future we never got" look to it that i'll always love. And i'll always dig the early Activision art. Those cartoony screen shots with the rainbows were just too cool.
  11. I can plug in headphones and listen to my Atari games? Cool! i jog (who am i kidding, sit) with my Harmony Cart all the time with headphones. I'm into all sorts of proto-industrial-noise-avant-garde music, so it works for me.
  12. Yes, you should. I have my "go to games" and homebrew stuff next to the tv set, but i keep the Harmony Cart out so i can play those PAL games i own, but that don't work, to play works in progress demos, and to play games i'd rather keep put away at a moments notice. Just look at it as an iPod for Atari games and it makes sense to have one.
  13. Scored 1971 on Super Breakout last night.

  15. I'm interested if it's still for sale and if the voice on Quadrun works. I will test the voice on it Wednesday. I wasn't aware there was an issue with that? The early versions had a bug where it didn't work, and of course that's the one I bought. And cool, just let me know. It does not have the voice over. Thanks for inquiring! That's cool, and thanks for checking.
  16. Getting ready to leave work and whipped this one up quick. Breakout is tough because there's so little to work with. -B That's perfect.
  17. Thanks, mechnicoid! I'll definitely try and make one or more of those tonight. -B Woo!
  18. If I could get labels and boxes for all the carts, i'd totally by dupilicates to have a set of these. These capture the starkness and simplicity of the classic games. I'd really love to see Breakout, Super Breakout, and Warlords get labels.

  21. Go with one of the Artstyle games. 'Light Trax' or 'Orbient' make me happy.
