  1. Run Saber is nice clone of Strider for the SNES. If you can snag a copy of Mario's Picross (don't know exact name) and a Super Famicom adapter, there's great picross fun to be had. I always found Space Invaders for the SNES to be really fun, especially the 2 player portion. Cybernator is a great Run and Gun (or more walk fast and run) game by Konami. All the others mentioned are pretty good too.
  2. PS3 Move Tumble - 30 min Table - 30 min Sega/Sega CD Snatcher - 2 hrs Gameboy Advanced Activision Anthology - 2 hrs
  3. Generation Nex works with the Disk Drive I didn't see him use one in the video (but i had the volume down so perhaps he mentioned it), and when i had one, like other chip clones, it didn't even respond to the drive. Famicom carts worked fine all day long on Gen Nex machine though. The only successful clone that's worked with the disk drives, that i've owned, is a hardware Chinese clone. It plays everything right, plus it has a composite out, so i don't have to deal with an RF connection. I also have a Super 8 adaptor for the SNES, and it too doesn't work, plus it's 8-bit output is horrible. By far it's the worst i've seen on the clones i've had. It looks cool sitting on the SNES, but that's about it.
  4. NES Arkanoid - 30 min Recca - 1 hr SNES Arkanoid Revenge of Doh - 30 min Mr. Do! - 20 min GBA Activision Anthology - 2 hrs Boundish - 30 min
  5. I got away from Famicom clones because none of them supported the Disk Drive, and really, I haven't spent that much more on a real Famicom than i would on a clone machine.
  6. My kit has been staring at me since Christmas '09. It's the best gift any girlfriend has ever got for me, i just feel bad i can't find the time to put the thing together.
  7. what do you have? I'll have to go stare at it if you want real specifics, but I know I have some dead Genesis consoles, a few dead Commodore 64 and VIC-20 computers, some dead Commodore 1541 disk drives, a dead Intellivision console, and then a lot of broken joysticks and other controllers. I'm sure there's other stuff I'm not remembering. Basically it would be enough to fill my car's trunk (it's not a truckload or anything like that). Ok. I'll be going, if i decide to take anything off your hands i'll let you know.
  8. I hooked it back up to test this and it seems fine to me. Starts the game with "Quadrun, quadrun, quadrun!" Well then, if it's still for sale i'd like to take it off your hands.
  9. Does this version have 'Quadrun' with the voice working?
  10. No, sorry, wish I did. ..Al No prob. There're still plenty of excellent carts to be bought, oh and some awesome arcades to be played that weekend.
  11. No, but if there's anything you're interested in I can bring them to the show and you can buy them from me there. ..Al Awesome! I'll start making my list. Oh, and you wouldn't happen to have an AtariVox sitting around somewhere(figured i try)?
  12. I'll be there, and will AtariAge be selling anything?
  13. Yeah, I really regret not buying one when they came out.

    Vs Breakout

From the album: Game idea sketches

I love Breakout, and I love Pong, so i'd love to see them together. I figure it'd be a great 2 player game.
  16. Amazon doesn't even list the game, which really bugs me. I mean really, how difficult is it to release this game? I guess the suits think if it can't match the sales of all those 'dress up' and 'baby simulators' for the DS, it won't move units?
  17. If there's someone out there willing to sell or trade their Atarivox unit I'd love to deal with you. PM me if you'd like to set something up.
  18. i haven't even gotten that. it's been over 30 days with one post here in the thread and no response to IMs. i guess it's time to go to Paypal and just get my money back.
  19. Have you heard anything from Dazz? i've still got no response since my last post.
  20. Has anyone who bought anything heard from Dazz? I saw and responded to their post last week and sent a pm late last week, but i haven't heard anything since.
  21. It's cool. Things happen, it was just the lack of contact that bugged me was all.
  22. Well, I picked up a Sega CD from Dazz and it's been over two weeks with no word on it, no package, and I PMed him last week with no response yet in several days. I like to give people time, but i don't have a good feeling about this one so far.
  23. I still use both and yes both are very obsolete, but you can still buy blank Minidiscs here and there in real stores. New Atari games have to be searched out via the internet. I care about media. I still use all sorts and feel there's a certain charm when i load a game via tape and such. I don't get that charm from loading a rom or simply accessing a game loaded/pre-loaded on a machine. I figured that the OP was seeking that charm along with trying to modernize a relic in an un-modern way is all.
