  1. I have every cart except BBSB. I can, but simply will not pay the asking price. (11 years ago I thought $75 was too much for it - and they were common on ebay then.) I am a past customer of yours. I would order a new 128-in-1 immediately if you modded it for BBSB. Hopefully you will offer it someday
  2. Blaster. It's finished and a blast to play.
  3. Here's a scan of the Activision Decathalon manual. It's from color, printed manual (and not the photocopy one found in some boxes). It's a single sheet of paper folded into three. I've just scanned one side and then the other side. I did not crop it. I figure you can do what you wish with the.pdf image. If you need it cropped, etc, let me know. I also have some what I think are pretty rare manuals if you want them scanned. Things like the masterplay interface manual, wico joystick manual, dual controller holder sheet, etc. I also have a huge 8 bit computer collection. I've supplied scans of manuals many years ago (which I think ended up being used in some of the repro cart manuals). Again, anything you'd like, just request. front.pdf back.pdf
  4. I have the activision decathalon manual. I'll bring it to work tomorrow, scan it and upload as an attachment.
  5. First game in years - 28,440. Done on an original 5200 using a sega genesis joystick with a homemake masterplay interface. By the time I found our camera, the screen was color cycling. If I have time, I'll try to do better.
  6. I'm going to have to break out the 5200 for my favorite game of all time. In the past I've reached 28K on the 5200 and over 40K on an arcade machine.
  7. I have five 5200 controllers. It seems that everytime I take the system out of storage to use it, the fire buttons / start buttons (and sometimes keypad buttons) don't work that well. To get them working, I've gotten used to taking the controllers apart and cleaning the rubbers contact on the back of the buttons. Hopefully, I'm done cleaning for good. I picked up a bottle of rear window defroster repair "paint" at an auto parts store. (They may have it at Walmart - but I've never looked there). The repair "paint' is for rear window defroster lines that get broken - cut through them, scratched out, etc. It is electrically conductive. "Painted' all of the rubber contacts on the bottom of the fire buttons, start /paure /reset and keypad buttons. It goes on very thin and does not increase the "depth" of the contact. Tried it on one controller. Worked so good, did the rest of the controllers. They now all work very well. Slightest touch on a button and contact is made. No more mashing of fire, pause buttons needed. Total cost for the "paint" was $13. I did 4 controllers and there propably is enough "paint" in the little tiny bottle to do 4 more controllers. Hopefully the "paint" will not wear away with use and this will be a permanent solution.
  8. Yes, the video mod for the 5200 is top quality parts and construction. Well worth the price asked. I waited about 2 1/2 months before getting the 5200 vid mod. Now, about 3 months latter I'm going to install it.
  9. k8rack, More manuals can be found here: http://www.intellivisiongames.com/index.ph...4&Itemid=39 http://www.steverd.com/docs-in/docs-in.htm Note the formatting required for cc3 - lines can be 20 columns wide at most with a CR / LF at the end of each line. The easiest way to format them for me was to cut and paste text into MS word. Move the right margin over until there is only 19 characters on each line. Then save file as a .txt file. Option will then be presented to put a CR / LR at the end of each line. Click the box and your formatted nicely. Got the cc3 yesterday. Excellent quality. Well worth the price asked for. Works just fine. It's great for people who actually play the games. The entire libray of released, prototypes, demos and homebrews now available to play on an actual intellivision console
  10. Yes, it has a fuse inside. Atari 5200 faq instructions for changing the fuse: http://www.atarihq.com/5200/5200faq/05_01.html
  11. I've had my 5200 since buying it new back in 1982. I now have a complete collection (all carts, boxes and manuals). I last used my 5200 yesterday. I'm a flag waving Atari fan. With that background, my opinion is the controls stink. They constantly need cleaning. The analog stick is really not the way to play digital type games. The side buttons while working are quite "mushy." Basically, I use a sega genesis controller with a homemade interface for digital games and a wico analog stick for analog games.
  12. 4 variations of GET and GOT: If you exited the prior screen without killing all the robots, then when the robots are chasing you it will say GET THE HUMANOID GET THE CHICKEN. If the robots get you then it says GOT THE HUMANOID GOT THE CHICKEN. However, if on the prior screen you had killed all the robots, then when the robots are chasing you it will say GET THE HUMANOID. If the robots kill you then it says GOT THE HUMANOID.
  13. Over 30,000 on the 5200 version. Over 40,000 on an actual arcade machine. This is still a fun game to play.
  14. Would like to send you a jag controller and $ for modification. Can't figure out how to do that from your site. Paypal or check? Where to send controller? Any details would be appreciated.
  15. Exactly. I remember buying the Jag, Trevor McFur and Raiden when the system first came out. I was so unimpressed I almost returned it that weekend (and I was a console fanatic and avid "early adopter" back then). Agreed. But that list highlights another big problem witb the system - overall lack of "A" quality titles. Games such as tempest, AvP, Iron Solder, Power DRive Rally and Defender were the exception. Being released regurarly was stuff such as Bruce Lee. Yes. I think Atari could barely support the system financially. Does anyone else remember the release of titles such as Aliens v Preditor or Tempest. I live in a suburb of PHiladelphia. There is a mall nearby which is the absolute biggest one in the area. An Electronics Boutique was in that mall. No question this would be an "A" store for distribution. Yet when AvP was finally recieved, that EB recieved three (3 !!!) copies of the game. They didn't get anymore for weeks. Why? I don't think Atari could afford to make enough copies to distribute. So, when they did get an "A" title, it wasn't available in enough quantities to move many systems. (never mind satisfy the demand of those with systems). With those problems, out comes the Playstation and Saturn. Good night Jaguar.
  16. As I posted above, you CAN buy the orginal ICD release of Aircars from Telegames UK. Cost is 99 GBP - which is about $183 US. I ordered from the US. Could not order on line. Had to call. No problems, had the game 1 week latter. What I recieved looks identical to the picture in that ebay auction. It's the cart and manual. They came in the packing liner found in boxed releases. For anyone who wants it, it's on this telegames uk page: http://www.telegames.co.uk/teleg_16.html
  17. That's the one I have. It has dip switches to change games. He did come out with a different one with software switching. I can understand that yes, a copyright is a copyright, with protections. If activision came out with a plug in unit that featured some of their 5200 games I can theoretically see where activision could believe it may impact sales. But at some point I would think there is no value to the property being defended. The game roms (including activision's) are so easy to find on the web. (Which doesn't mean it is right.) How are the new ones better?
  18. I was fortunate enough to get a 5200 multicart 2 years ago. Saw one on ebay recently going for almost $300. That made no sense, so I went to the site where I got mine. Guess what, not available anymore. For "personal use only" notes the site. What gives? Did some organization complain? Is there really a company bothered by distribution of games from 1983 - 1985? I thought the person who created the multicart deserved what they asked for it. It took time and them money to make them. Does anyone know what happened to the multicarts? Are they going to make a comeback some day?
  19. The original release by ICD can still be bought from telegames uk. I bought it about 1 year ago - it's the original cart and manual. There was no box or overlay. It's the original ICD release, unlike myatari.com Link to get it is: http://www.telegames.co.uk/teleg_16.html I'm in the US and it was no probable buying it from the UK. I did have to call and order with a credit card. Recieved about 1 week after ordering. The game is okay. I got it more for the joy of collecting than playing the game.
