  1. Hmm, maybe new glasses? ? If there was a joystick instead of a trackball would you notice? Just saying.
  2. I disagree with these going to audiences that may never have played them - this specific cab is a re-release of their first wave Atari 12 in 1 cab, specifically targeted to those that didn't get it back in 2018 when it came out. 1Up knew exactly who they were targeting this to and just didn't care that 1) they messed up the control panel ("messed" is not the word I wanted to use) and 2) when customers called them out on it 1Up led some to believe it was just a mock up and would be corrected in the final product.
  3. Playable? How? It's worse than playing Defender on the Rampage cabinet. The original 12 in 1 had a horizontal screen so its no different, if you go by the majority of the games just like the first 12 in 1 how many of these are vertical: Centipede, Millipede, Tempest, and ... ? I don't see the screen being the bigger problem, so we'll have to agree to disagree. Still glad I have the first wave Centipede and Atari 12 in 1 in my collection. Looks like Arcade1up has joined the big tyme corporate mentality of caring less about their customer base, the writing has been on the wall with them for a while now. Glad I picked up an iiRcade...
  4. If they can't even position the buttons on the correct side, you think they could do anything else right? ? Just more proof the could care less about the consumer.
  5. They actually released this without correcting the physical button layout? What idiots...
  6. Fall? No. You can search the forums for more info. I never had any issues with Mike, and did good business with him after he closed up shop. He's opened a new website recently.
  7. Mike Mallory; yeah, the S-VIDEO and 3.5mm connectors look exactly like his Astrocade kit.
  8. Well, having owned and installed several of their Astrocade S-VIDEO boards I'd hazard a guess you're missing a whole bunch of connector cables. You have a link to the .pdf?
  9. Well if you recommend them that's good enough for me, you're reputation proceeds you (that, and Ed Mello recommending you as well). I know there's been a lot of threads on Coleco aftermarket power supply issues so it's often tough to stay on top of things or weed through what's correct information vs what's incorrect.
  10. I thought there was a "meltdown" issue with them and / or they were no longer being made? If either is wrong or incorrect please let me know.
  11. Ah, so that's the Coleco that power supply goes to! (I have a Canadian Coleco and must have mixed up my power supplies at some point!).
  12. I don't know anyone in the Coleco community that wouldn't be interested. We had USB and modular solutions made available but both have their own issues. Then there's the cost. A new replacement power supply made specifically for the ColecoVision would be fantastic, and I could see Kickstarter or Indiegogo as a good funding option if there's a proven prototype and business plan. I know I'd back it for a few.
  13. Reproducing the original power bricks? Maybe. Coming up with a more modern solution that doesn't melt or cause noise on your system? Definitely.
  14. I've used 7800 Euro pads with my ColecoVision for years, I bought them specifically for it from Best Electronics. Having carpal tunnel prevents me from using the stock Coleco controllers anymore.
  15. Well, that "other" SGM ain't too shabby either! Has it been 10 years already? Fantastic!
  16. I really, really wish this had become a thing bitd. Adam was cool but I wasn't into computers back then. Coleco would have ruled the land with this...
  17. I found out where it came from, they must have scraped YouTube footage to use for that first presentation:
  18. I'm sure it's a simple mistake or misunderstanding. iiRcade seems pretty stoked to get CollectorVision on board so I think we can let this slide. The CEO Jong-Wook Shin was all over Sydney Hunter and Light Grid, as well as their other titles and entire catalog.
  19. Here's my Dragon's Lair cabinet in it's temporary home:
  20. Nah, I get it. The first run of the Arcade1Up cabs were cheaply made and riddled with defects. It cast a shadow on the whole genre and did little for the 3/4 cab reputation. But systems like the Legends Ultimate and the iiRcade have taken things up a notch. And iiRcade has set the bar even higher. Like Legends they have provided patches and system updates to improve game performance, as well as introduce new features. iiRcade listens to its customer base and responds accordingly. Their CEO still holds 1+ hour long Facebook Live sessions 2x a week to discuss what's going on, what's coming up and where things are at currently. He also provides gameplay footage of upcoming releases. iiRcade has even introduced a replacement screen protector to replace the stock plexi that many people disliked - the new one is a true tempered glass cover, which should really take their cabinet to an arcade quality product. Plus, who doesn't like a 100 watt sound system in their cab? They're not for everybody, I get it. I'd love to build my own multi cade but seeing as how I have two Neo Geo Gold cabs to work on plus a SEGA Star Trek: SOS environmental cab to restore, its so much more enjoyable to have one cab to play arcade titles on without having to tweak this or adjust that. Just turn in on and play. Same thing happened with me and PC gaming that moved me over to console gaming when the Xbox first came out. Its just easier for me. I'm in front of a PC for 10 hours a day, last place I want to be when I'm in the mood for gaming. If you ever get a chance check out the iiRcade first hand.
  21. Owning several Arcade1Up cabs I can tell you assembled the iiRcade looks nothing like something from ikea (despite it coming flat packed). It's heavy, the 19" screen pops, and for weeks my gameroom smelled like freshly cut wood. This is a heavy, imposing cabinet in person. I like the colors on the stock cab, and only upgraded to their Dragon's Lair themed cab for the Sanwa joysticks and 128 GB storage. If you're one of those die hard arcade cab people it's probably not for you. If people are looking for a multi cade with a mix of old and new styled games to buy and keep, it's a fantastic machine. And the companies and games they're adding just make it better and better.
