I think you answered your own question: its the "original" Malban version 😉 Keep in mind thats the asking price, doesn't mean it will sell for that or even anything close.

I'll test with a RAD2X as well once I get the chance to order 👍

Thanks for the info, I have a RAD2X Gen 2 cable I use with my RGB modded Omega Entertainment Machine that has an upgraded video card and it works fine with my LG 4K TV so I'll definitely try it with the 7800GD. I have the older RetroTINK 2x-Pro not the 5X but haven't used it much lately.

So will any Genesis 2 / Mega Drive 2 cable work with this? Say for example a RAD2X HDMI cable?

Video Game Consoles and Computers in Video Arcades?
128Kgames replied to ColecoFan1981's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Vectrex for sure, also for some strange reason a Neo Geo AES home system was converted to a cabinet system... -
There's a mod right now to add about 11 games to the stock PCB. Search on reddit for it, very simple to do. May use something similar to this to add more games to the stock PCB down the road. Has to be done TODAY before store shuts down today 7 PM CST!

People think it was the Gold cabs that messed things up, when in fact it was wasting two years pursing a mobile app instead of building and expanding the core business. How do you go from saying you're bringing the arcade experience home by building an exceptional home cabinet with the ability to purchased licensed games you can own forever and then spend two years using the companies money and resources to build a mobile app so you can take the "iiRcade experience with you." Who the f*ck would want that? Goes against the whole model of the original business and what they sold us on. Now I'm just waiting for the mod so we can add the game they should have gone after instead of wasting everyone's time and bankrupting the company...
-
They had their steam going for a while and the future looked bright, but apparently they veered off into an unknown business direction behind the scenes and neglected their core business model (home arcade cabinet with retro and modern games). We didn't find out until the bankruptcy announcement and it was basically a "wtf were they thinking" response. 2 years wasted on a whole different business model...what a shame.

That's interesting, the only BNIB version of Artillery Duel I own was also dead out of the box, I'm wondering if there was a bad batch or if all of them (AD) are prone to failure?

I'm interested in the Super Pro System label if it turns out you don't need it.

Cool, so I can follow along in the Concerto thread, any updates / firmware for this version?

Appreciate everyone's help!

I came across this 7800 flash cart I bought years back but never used and for the life of me I cant remember who made it, was it still supported and where the thread on it is. I've gone through all my subscriptions and I can't find it. Can anyone help with this? The postage shows 10/27/2016 and it came from Portland, Oregon, but I don't think I can make out who sent it (pretty sure I bought it from the creator). I'm boxing up my collection for storage so it would be nice to know what it is.

Bally/Astrocade - Arcade Controller
128Kgames replied to doubledown's topic in Bally Arcade/Astrocade
Absolutely beautiful man, this coming from a long time Bally / Astrocade collector 😉 I had the Computer System Model as well as a teen, so I can dig your choice. Bally / Astrocade controllers are hands down the best of the best of the best, hands down, but I bet this beast would give them a run for their money. -
New ICBM Attack controller in the works

Same here, always had access to Radio Shack for all my projects, wish they were still around the corner... Funny thing with the CoCo - mine was my Uncle's, he worked for Raytheon when I was growing up, first home computer I ever used, my Cousin and I played the heck out of it. The guys at Raytheon had a "club" where they would buy the games for the CoCo and make copies for the rest of the club. They even copied the physical cartridges to disk! Polaris was a great game for a Missile Command clone and used the non-centering joystick to great advantage if I remember correctly. My Uncle actually mailed me that very same CoCo and everything he had to go with it during Covid as it was collecting dust in his attic 😉 -

While this sounds amazing and certainly people have wanted this controller preproduced for years, if memory serves the original controller wasn't all that user friendly to begin with, so I'm not sure recreating it makes that much sense, other than for personal satisfaction. I have often hoped someone would make a trackball compatible with the Astrocade and / or one that could be used with the ICBM attack game. Previously, the game itself was hacked to work with the standard controller, but its literally unplayable. Either way, I wish you luck in your endeavors. Its always good to see people working on my favorite console from that era. -
