  1. Another vote for Rally Cross, despite the Op's criteria. Fun racing game.
  2. The darkness. I remember going to a mall for the first time and seeing a Barrel of Fun, with its barrel shaped entrance. It was dark and I couldn't tell what was going on but I knew I wanted to find out.
  3. Check the marketplace section, best deals ever. I've only shopped from one online store recently and it was Trade-n-Games. Fair prices. Other members may know of other stores with fair prices. If your location was known there may be another member(s) in your area willing to unload or they may know of local places.
  4. What ever happened to the scripted movie project, that was supposed to have DiCaprio and was gonna be awesome? I'm gonna check this out though.
  5. Picked up a 13" Funai at a thrift for $20. I donated a 27" there a few months ago. I guess I could of tried to trade them straight up. But it seemed odd to take a TV some place and say "Give me something smaller." Glad to be rid of the potential kid crusher.
  6. http://atariage.com/forums/topic/231877-wanted-2600-commons-from-atari-coleco-cbs/
  7. I used play Civil War Generals quite a bit. I don't even know if they make strategy games like that anymore. Top down, turn based just like a board game.
  8. Never ever. Probably Galaga in the arcade. After a while a quarter could go for a good bit, and them other fools can just wait, watch and get a lesson. The satisfaction of finding a random machine and having some fun used to be great. Currently for free, OpenTTD http://www.openttd.org/en/
  9. The community is is behind you, be strong.
  10. You are the first person in the history of video games to contemplate this.
  11. The best thing about Atari is that nearly everything is easy to find and is fairly cheap. Aside from a few dozen uber rare games a nice collection can be had by anyone. The market place here is awesome, lots of cool people with realistic prices.
  12. Those are great! I always find a huge disconnect when using digital art programs. I dabbled in Inkscape a few years ago and really thought it was amazing. I never created anything like that though. Maybe I'll give it another shot. I only have one class this term, which is drawing naked people, so I a little time.
  13. You could manually type in a simple game program
  14. OpenTTD an open source Transport Tycoon Deluxe. http://www.openttd.org/en/ My wife is constantly asking "Why do you play this retarded game?"
  15. I never mind paying a little more for games from a brick and mortar. Its good to try to make that personal connection sometimes(unless they are jerks). Make a friend and they may set aside stuff for you when it comes in. That is very steep though, these were priced purely on brand recognition. One store near me has a $15 Donkey Kong(don't laugh I think he's serious) next to a $5 Donkey Kong. The kid who runs it has no clue about anything older than NES as usual and has never even played an Atari. His market dictates that though, I'm probably the only person to come in for Atari games. He mentioned that he wanted a Jaguar "...because its the first 64 bit system." ,whatever.
  16. Activision Boxing on the 2600 if I can find an opponent. Sega Bass Fishing on the Dreamcast with the Fission controller of course.
  17. If you own it and no money is exchanged it's not piracy IMHO.
  18. Buying 2600 games in the wild, only to realize they are Coleco.
  19. I want Three.s just for the Mondrian inspired art. I also like puzzle games. I already got some Malevich inspired labels, oh wait those are just missing.
  20. I'm completely lame right now and have not played anything in several weeks. I even got a Harmony Cart nearly three months ago and have yet to fire it up. I should put up or shut up and play some Pac-Man 4k or something.
  21. Get one, you will be surprised by the forward thinking design.
