  1. If i'm correct, i think the Odyssey2 manufacturer plant was situated in Texas. Could explain why they can be found more easy over there. Plant workers buying on for there kids.
  2. double post again. Sites keeps locking up.
  3. Over at www.videopac.org you have a database where you can find some info. But i don't know when it was last updated, could be years ago.
  4. Many people seem to forget that the o2 was on par with the 2600 the first 2 years. Games on the 2600 didn't look that more better then the o2 games did. But after these first years, and after the massive support of third party developers things took of on the 2600 side. Resulting in better looking games, because of better programming. I think that if the o2 had had the same support form other developers, it to would have had better looking games, just look at the graphics of revival studio games to see what the o2 is capable of.
  5. The guys that know much about o2 hardware are over at www.videopac.nl/forum so maybe you could ask them.
  6. Looks great, but the shelf look a bit to small for the boxes. I would have made them double the width. I'm afraid i would bump off stuff.
  7. Try VpacApp, it's a android based odyssey2 emulator. http://www.retrogamenetwork.com/2014/02/23/new-vpacapp-brings-gamers-fresh-magnavox-odyssey-2-emulator-to-android-mobile-devices/
  8. A childsdream. Got two kids here who would love to play in this.
  9. Most important is to check if the memoryupgrade unterneat the trapdoor has a battery backedup rtc. Many of these batterys are leaking and damaging the memory pcb.
  10. For file transfer from pc to amiga i use Amiga Explorer. Works good, but it is slow. I don't have a lot of issues with old floppy's. Allmost all of them seem to work. I only had a few disks that where bad. A hdd can be great if you have a game that uses multiple disks. So you don't need to swap floppy's. I like the sound of the floppy seeking and loading, but i'm going to get a gotek for ease of use, transferring files from pc to amiga. Maybe modding my gotek to produce loading sounds.
  11. Great scott, nice to see a review of these pretty unknow systems. Keep them comming.
  12. Traded a snes and nes for this. A commodore pc 1. Sadly the psu died moments before i had a chance to check it, but if i cannot fix it i can return it.
  13. I have a PAL unit and it has the exact same label. since you're label also has german writing on it i guess that either commodore used the same label for all their models or you're model is a PAL version.
  14. I replaced the onboard battery on my 80386 motherboard. The battery was still in good shape, not leaking, so i didn't need to clean and repair the board. I already added a 128mb DOM to replace the stock 120 mb harddisk. Also replace the diskdrive. It was working but the. 3.5" disks could not be ejected.
  15. You can plug a keyboard directly into the cd32. The port for it is on the side. U can use a a4000 keyboard right out of the box. Or you can hack a a500 keyboard to work with the cd32, like i did.
  16. A pc with a 3DO blaster add-on card, turning a pc into a 3do system.
  17. I used a thrustmaster topgun platinum with throttle stick, for flightgames, great combo. Together with my quickshot masterpilot.
  18. Modify both ports, even if you plan to play only 1 player games. Think that is easier and cheaper then using a switch.
  19. Haha, better looking is the a 1000, but the a 2000 packs more functionality. That's why i asked why he used the limited 1000 instead of the 2000.
  20. I also added a composite mod to my zx81, and had to cut down the keyboard ribbon since it was broken. The unit is working fine now. But my 16k expansion is broken. Would like to get a working on, since 1k is just to little memory. Don't want to go the zxpand way.
