I allready noticed that games over in the usa where cheaper. You only get good deals over here if the person selling it hasn't been surfing on internet before selling it. You see a lot of people selling things for far more than it's worth, just because they saw somebody on the internet asking that price for it. Some times i find nice games for little but mostly they are arround the 5 euro pricetag.

Yesterday i found a boxed unused nintendo scope 6 for 4,50 euro. Today i went to a fleamarket and after finding no stuff for the atari 2600 for ages i was lucky today by finding 3 2600 carts that i didn't own yet. For a total of 20 euro i got the following games, they wher 10 euro for each 3 games: Atari 2600 Master Builder Spectravision Planet Patrol Spectravision Keystone Kapers Activision Nintendo 64 Goldeneye 007 Super Nintendo Starwing FX Sega Megadrive Castlevania All loose carts. Had to leave a bunch of other games that i didn't have since my money was gone .

In europe they are not that hard to find.

I was so hooked on the game in the arcade that when it was released on the playstation it was the reason for me to buy a ps. I always was more of a pc guy back then. But this game had me switched back to consoles. Loved the music.

Hmm that's a rather old song, must have been 2 years ago that it was in the hitparade over here. Still lovely graphics.

When i have time, i allways go to whatever sale is going on. If i don't find anything, it's oke with me. I like the trill of the maybe great find. Since i'm not good in haggle, i tend to go just for the price they ask. If it's to high i just leave it. What i really don't like is people trying to get a low price on a 1 euro item from a kid. I'm just like it's only 1 euro and it's money for the kid. I went to a kidsmarket last saterday and a kid was selling his n64 with 4 games with manuals and 2 controllers. He was asking 15 euro for it i offert him 17,50 euro since it was a real bargain for a n64 system over here.

Can't say CD-i is a bad system, because first of all it wasn't designed to play only games. That was a features beside it's interactive features. It was also a vcd player, photo player. Games where just one of those features.

I don't think the first to are cga graphics. they may have just 4 colors but that doesn't make it cga. If i recall it correctly cga had white, black, magneta and cyan as possible colors. I was really glad that we didn't have a color monitor whit our first pc. It was a 286 with a whole megabyte of memory and a whopping 20 mb harddrive, and a 3.5"hdd diskdrive and cga. I allways looked at the monochrome colors and was thinking how much better the graphics where in monochrome over color in cga. Ega was a lot better with colors. That was the first card where the graphic started to look nice on a pc.

I want to add the orginal gameboy. Man looking at the really bad screen makes i still cant figure out why they outsell the lynx and game gear. I can still remember trying to see something on screen while playing on a gameboy, holding it in impossible ways just to see something on screen. I was really glad that when i had the money to buy a portable on my own i decided to buy a game gear.

i.m.o. you should keep it. Cause it's not nice for the other person who had been bidding for the coleco just to find out that someone took it away in front of his nose the very last second. I really hate this. It happend to me a few times that i was over bid just seconds before the action closed. Since i work in the field, i can only access the internet when i'm home. And so i can't really stay on focus on a item. I think when you bid on something you must be sure u want it, otherways don't bid on the item and let someone who really wants it get hold of it.

Great find. Yesterday i got a cardboard box from a philips coffeemachine, with 14 videopac games in it, carts only. After going trough the pile i discoverd 4 carts that didn't have the usual label on it. 3 had a little sticker on them, with a typewriter text on them saying the games name. After some research on the web i found out that it had to be protos. They where - robot city - nightfighter - martian treath - air battle ? This didnt have a label on it but the game looked similar to the 58 game air battle. Never thought i would own some protos

I really like the system. And here in the netherlands it was sold a lot. So you could play it easily at friends back then. It really has some nice games, and given the fact that there aren't that many games for the system 100- it is a nice system to get a complete collection of. There arent that many game for it, but there aren't that many bad games for the system. Hence, one of the reasons for the videocrash of '84 was the vast amout of crap games released for the 2600. So the 2600 may have a larger amout of games released for it, it also has many, many more bad games. Just as for the playstation. I really like all my old systems, and play every one of them every once in a while. But the one i play most is my videopac (o2).

Just to make it complete. If one would ever consider to buy a gbc, then never ever buy a transparent one. When i bought my gbc i bought one transparent cause it looked cool. After 1 day i return it to the shop because it was to difficult to play games on it cause the whole surface acts like a mirror. You can't hardly see anything on the screen when playing under a light. I got a green one in sted and still use it every now and then. For the record i bought the GBC some 7 years after i bought a Gamegear. Back then i cound't play on a GB because the screen was way to bad. For the battery problems, i allways use rechargeable batterys way better for your pocket. And most of all i just play near a wall socket so i can use a power adapter.

Last week i went to a second hand shop and passed on a 4 euro c64 system, with 2 controllers and tape deck. Wend back today and found a videopac with complete not broken down controllers for 2 euro and picked it up. Sadly they did't have any games. Thursday i went to another second hand shop and found some megadrive games: NBA-JAM T.E. c.i.b. 1,20 euro T2 the arcade game c.i.b. 1 euro Super Off-road c.i.b. 1,20 euro Skitchin only cart and box 1 euro Talespin c.i.b. 1,20 euro Two crude dudes c.i.b. 1,20 euro Ghouls'n Ghosts c.i.b. for 1 euro.

I used to like Indiana Jones for the GG, It's the only game i've played to the end. @Spector There must be a couple of those for the gameboy from different manufactors. I have a GB smart, and it's a great way to test games.

You could also make a print of the labels you have and put it in a map so you have easy access, and overview of all your games. You could also give it some sort of index, so if you look in the map and want to take a closer look to a cart, you can find them easy in the drawers or where ever you store them. I store them in seperate boxes that i bought at ikea theyre made of cardboard with metal corners to make them stronger.

Do you have portable games stashed all over?

When i did software upgrades to the atm to accept euro's, i took my gameboy color with me and played zelda when the atm was upgrading. Had half an hour of playing time for each atm. Man that was great earning money when playing games . -
Just a little question, how is the status of the project.

River raid II for 2 euro. My best rare find isn't for the atari but for the oddessey2/videopac no 57 blobbers for 5 euro.
