  1. Great day. Found my self a 5 euro copy of the blobbers nr 57 for videopac. It was in a pile of games that came along with a heavily beaten videopac g7000 console. He asked 30 euro for the hole pack, 11 games + the videopac. Since i didn't want to spend 30 euro for only 2 games that i didn't have yet: nr 57 and the nr 53. I thought leave it there. So i drank a cup of coffee with my dad. After that i thought i will have a go in trying to get the games loose. So i went back and i asked him if he would sell it apart. I was saying that at a lokal game shop he saw these games go away for a lot of money. After a few moments he said that he wanted 5 euro for each game. Since i had only 8 euro with me i tryed to get them both for 8. But he wanted to get 5 euro each. So i only bought the nr 57. What a great decision i made there, seems it's one of the thougher games to get for the videopac. After that we went to an other fleemarket there i found a pile of 7 atari 2600 carts for 3 euro so i bought them, along with it where kangaroo, jungle hunt, 32 in 1, qbert, mouse trap, ms. pacman and pacman.
  2. And because of that amount of processors the saturn had, its dual hitachi's, it was harder to program for then the ps1. So more and more develpers where switching to sony because they could make more games in less time for it. Also the reason why there are so many crap titles for the ps1.
  3. Man wished i came across a saturn for $8 dollar. They are not easy to find in the wild here. Got this week a psx first model, with the extra video and audio outputs, although somebody must have needed a ps1 laser unit cause it's gone. And i got a Philips VG8020 MSX.
  4. I also think piracy wasn't the main problem causing the DC to die. Here in the Netherlands it's very hard to find an orginal unmodded PS1. You could easy rent a game at a videostore and copy it. Where i never saw an DC title in the whole store, they had over 100 ps1 games. No what really killed the DC and Saturn was really bad marketuing from Sega. They had to much competion between Sega of America and Sega of Japan. Both wanted to go in a differt direction when they released the 32x and Saturn. That they didn't see what the public was demanding. Because Sega did spread over to much diferent systems at that time Genesis with sega-cd, 32x and saturn. The buyers didn't know anymore what to get. Let alone the cost of a sega-cd and 32x expension. When you bought those and saw that only a few games worth were released on them, why didt you want to invested more money in a Saturn, when you didn't know if Sega would come up with yet another system.
  5. Picked up a Jaguar boxed with cybermorph, boxed iron soldier, boxed troy aikman football, boxed dragon the bruce lee story and boxed blue lighting for jaguar cd. All complete with manuals and joypad inlays. for 50 euro.
  6. When they can get money for it they will. All exclusive title u see hardly anywhere. Sure there are a few that where designed by there one studio, but most of the games from 3rd party suppliers aren't that exclusive anymore. For a few month they will be, but after that they will start cashing by releasing it on other platforms. About the violence in game: i really think it is stupid that people are complaining and want to get games out of the shelf just because it contains voilience. Why: because it is stupid that u can't buy a game that containce voilence, while on the other hand you can buy weapons in shops, or see movies that contain more realistic voilience. And why are those voiliend games selling so good. Just because they get lots, and lots of free publicitie because an stupid group, want it to get it out of the shops.
  7. In my opion no game needs a sequel. Most sequels now are rused out, just to pocket money. Seeing what happed with driver. So even for our beloved classic games i don't want a sequel. The old games are just perfect.
  8. The only question i have is: does arcade perfect or nearly arcade perfect refer to graphics or gameplay? Sure the graphic cabilities of a 1990 game console never can match a arcade. But if one means with: arcade perfect or nearly arcade perfect the gameplay how does the game compare then? Is the level design the same? Seeing the pictures the level design is the same, since you can make an image of every screen on both the arcade and the sg. So if i have to say is the sg G'nG arcade perfect or nearly arcade perfect my answer is yes.
  9. Mission Imposibel, error can't choose.
  10. Somebody must really disliked his xbox. Today my dad brought with him an xbox that somebody trown away. The only problem: its an us model, ntsc and 100 v. So i first have to get me a power converter and a kabel to connect it to my tv, to see if it still works. If not, maybe something to do a case mod for my pc.
  11. Saved from the scrapyard. Got today a lot of nes games + other stuff saved from the scrapyard by my dad. For NES: Double Dragon III label is thorn. Donkey Kong Classics The Goonies II Ghostbusters II Gremlins 2 The Incredible Crash Dummies Swords & Serpents For Master system Double Dragon boxed no manual 1 master system control pad For CD-i remote controller Another great day.
  12. @ thebman80 Could you ask if they are willing to make a good detailed photo of the controles, with all the writing clear on it, and the coin unit? Thx for your help.
  13. That must be the lucky-est kid in the world. I'm sure his dad can't say that he isn't allowed to play to much games. :-). I wonder how much games of his collection he has actual played. It lookes to me that it's not possible to have played them all.
  14. Thx TheBman80, Hope that he is willing to draw some plans.
  15. I also came along the plans for the cocktail type pong, but i don't like cocktail type arcade machines, but thanx anyway.
  16. spotted a atari 2600 wood 4 switch today, with 2 controllers and power supply no games for 10 euro. Didn't buy it because i thought it was to expensive.
  17. I want to rebuild a pong arcade cabinet, but i can't find the exact measurments of the cabinet. I want to build a as close a replica, so does somebody have the measurments or plans of the arcade cabinet?
  18. I really loved the c64 in the days. Nobody around here had a atari 400/800. About the whole "what system is better", i just have to say "any system that outsells the compitian". What use do you have for a system that is more powerfull than an other one, when the amount of "good" games for a other system is just greater. We've seen it time over time, it's not the great "hardware" that sells, it's the "software" that sells the system.
  19. Went to my videostore to rent a dvd, they where outselling there old ps1, n64 games, picked up FF IX for ps1 for 5 euro, Namcon GCon 45 for 5 euro Man that Gcon is way better then my imitation light gun i used before. It's more accurad. Saddly i found out that one of my local gamestores had clossed because trouble with the tax officers. Used to go there a lot because it was easy to get there when i was at work. Picked up a few game by a other game collector living nearby. A really nice guy picked up: Videopac Speurtocht naar de ringen (quest for the rings) mint condition, all parts where still sealed. Q-bert and Super Cobra boxed with all the extra's in there and Turtles. Batman returns for the Lynx Cosmic avenger for Colecovision Didn't have anything to swap with him, his collection is way,way bigger then mine, so i bought it from him.
  20. Well that's where most of my consoles come from. My dad works at the scrapyard, and every week he looks inside the container with electronic stuff just to see if there's anything for me. Man people even trow away brand new dvd players. Last week my dad picked up 2 because he didn't have a dvd player yet. Both of them where working fine. But i know how you feel. A while ago i asked a college what he was doing with his old Amiga CD32. He didn't know, so i asked if i could get it. We would ask his son if he did it away. After a while i asked him again. He gave it so somebody that didn't have a cd-player, just to play cd's. I asked him if he could ask it back, and when i asked him again. He said that they throw it away. :-( Man i really fellt bad that day.
  21. Could be a joystick for the MSX. They had a joystick called Philips VU 0001 that was a videopac design controller.
  22. My first console was one of those pong clones.
  23. I always wanted a C64 but instead we got a Schneider CPC464. It was a nice system to but it was to hard to get games for it. Speaking of Quest for the Rings, i won a auction for it. Will set me back 20 euro but it is in near mint conditsion, even the box it comes in.
