Which Classic Video Game System Sucks the Most
Seob replied to gamesnat's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I really cant vote. I just like videogames. And every system has + and -, but i just can't choose. There are a lot of systems i don't own that are on the list, but since i never played on them i can't say if i like em or not. The only system i can think of that has a chance that i would vote for, has to be the original gameboy. Not for it's games, because they are great, but because of the very bad display. U need a lot of light to play on it. -
How often do you find Gameboy carts in the wild?
Seob replied to SteveW's topic in Classic Console Discussion
I find a lot of them, more then i find 2600 games anyway. But they are often to expensive to buy for me. And besides i own a programmable gameboy cart so i don't have to buy them. I like to spent my money rather on older homesystems or the gamegear and lynx. -

whats your favorite 80's system?
Seob replied to CARTRIDGE STEALER's topic in Classic Console Discussion
The Schneider CPC464. Because most of the games i played on them, where games that where listed in magazines, and i always feels a bit special to play a game that you "created". -
Went to a guy today where i used to work with. He had some stuff for me: 2 atari 2600 black, 1 2600 Jr. rev a. 1 coleco gemini 1 msx mouse Loose cart for 2600: Demon attack, Cosmic ark,Galaxian, Missile command, pac-man, ms. pac-man, Pitfall II, Video Olympics, Solar Fox, Action man Action Force and Frogger. And a Philips :YES a 80186 pc. All for nothing. And he maybe having a Amiga CD32 for me to :-).

The only thing i always see is that the heads at Atari, where the worst business man on the planet. They are one of the few on earth that can make a million dollar company in to a broke company, that makes error after error. Sadly enough.

I'm not that interested in specs of the machines. It really doesn't matter to me if a certain system is faster then an other. The only thing that's important are the quality of the games. I both like the NES and the SMS, they both have games that are really good on the system. I can't say that i find a NES controller better than a SMS. They are both to small to hold good in my hands. And playing with them alway results in stopping with gaming after 30 minutes of play because my hands get stiff holding those non-ergonomic controllers.

The games specialy made for the O3 are very expensive. Take a look at this site: Northwinds 175,- euro for TRANS AMERICAN RALLY. That's a lot of money.

Just got a Commodore 64 ; Now what?
Seob replied to Steppenwolffan21's topic in Commodore 8-bit Computers
I really love the c64. I never had one back in the days, we had a schneider CPC464,but i played a lot on them by friends. Also in the Netherlands tapedrives where the main softwarecarriers. Maybe because the price of diskdrives was expensive, but i also think that tapes were used more because you could copy them easy. You only needed a stereo with 2 tapedrives to copy games. When you have a tape drive you can also play games you download. U need to convert them to wav-file, play them over your speaker output and record it on a tapedrive. Or u could use a cassette adapter and a diskman. There also games available on cartridge, although you don't see them offen. Atari has produced some port of classic 2600 games to the c64 in cartridge format. c64 hardware is not very hard to get in the Netherland, and often you can get it for free from people that don't use them anymore. Since i haven't got a c64 diskdrive, i will get me one. I could hit myself because i could have one for 1 euro but didn't buy it. -
Bought yesterday some great stuff. For 2 euro i bought a Radiofin tele-sports III boxed with gamecart. For 2,50 euro a Atari 800xe with 11 game-carts. For 15 euro a Snes in a portable box. You can put the snes, with 2 controllers and 8 games in it, to play you don't have to take the snes out, because there are hole in the top and back where you can put the cables in. It came with 6 games and a super gameboy. For 20 euro a N64 with 2 games.

Here in holland, in the neigbourhood where i live it's pretty hard to find anything game related from atari, and other manyfactures of the 70's. You will find dosens of NES, although SNES is bit harder to find in the wild. This year i've found just 3 2600 carts and 2 odessey2 carts. But the year isn't ended yet, and with the summer there will be a lot of fleamarkets, maybe i'll be lucky to find more.

First or not, them 5200 controller is defentity one of the worst controllers ever made.

When u are able to get hold on a powerconverter, i would say yes. U may need a powerconverter because most pal televisions work on a voltage of 220V while us systems use 110V.

I just like every electronic device where i can play games on. I play a lot on both my PC and console. I like FPS very much and i'am hooked onto my beloved keyboard and mouse, to play them. I had a really hard time when i tryed to play FPS on a console.

Love the joystick. It really looks like it could be handled by an elefant. It looks like it can't be broken by anything. -
I don't collect any extra's but i try just collect every gamesystem out there, with at least 1 game.

Intellivision TutorVision found w/games
Seob replied to Chuck Gill's topic in Intellivision / Aquarius
Nice find. I think why this unit play's intv games and your intvII doesn't is because , the intvII had somekind of lockout chip to prevent coleco produced intv games to be played on the intv. Here's a article about that:classicgaming Here's a little text of the site: "The Intellivision II was designed for a few reasons: to lower the production cost, make repairs easier (for example, it replaced the hard-wired controllers with removable ones), make expansion easier (for the upcoming 2600 adapter and other accessories), and to prevent Coleco's Intellivision games from working on the system. Yes, Mattel actually put in a subroutine to prevent the Intellivision II from playing its competitor's games. This subroutine also prevented one of Mattel's own games from working as well. When this was discovered, Mattel claimed it was the fault of the competitors' software. This change also led to a slight timing error in some games with sound effects. Competitors soon found a way to bypass this subroutine, to get their future games to work. " -
ColecoVision P.O.P. Display Kiosk Update

Great find. Hope you take good care of that nice piece of history. -
I used to play games when on work. I did software uprgades for ATM. And all you could do was insert disks or cd's and start the update and wait for half a hour or so. In the meanwhile i'd play on my gameboy color. Mostly zelda. Since i now have an other job where i don't have to wait for systems to boot, i can't play anymore games on work. (sometime i play on my mobile phone when on break.)
