yeah, its wierd that the Spectrum wasn't really pushed much in the States.
It had a software quantity that made the 2600's look like..well.. the Arcadia!
Its a shame you guys missed out on several key points in the history of gaming - they all started on this little fella.
If you get a chance, download an emulator - and track down games by 'Ultimate' (now rareware!) and the platform genius Matthew Smiths two greats, Manic Miner and Jetset Willy. This guy did as much for platform gaming as our mutual legend, Mr Crane.
Oh yeah, check out Sandy Whites- 3D Ant Attack- the FIRST EVER solid isometric platformer. Great days
