    Any other veterans here? I'm debating whether or not its worth it to start buying private health insurance, after realizing Im on the hook for ambulance rides and medications, and $50 per visit. I didnt do the full 20 years to get full coverage and Im not disabled

      I have been out for a couple of decades now, so I am out of the loop here.  Is the government providing you with any health insurance right now?

       

      I have thought about trying to get disability for my shoulders since I hurt them when I was deployed one time, but I have not done it yet.  The fact I never went to sick call about them probably does not help.

      I was curious what won you the day, so I took a look and realized I do not know how the winning the day works.  Is it simply most reactions across all your content?  If somebody had one post with 99 likes, and somebody else had 100 posts each with one like, who would win?

    Caught a nasty cold, but on the upside I took a sick day and in between napping I watched some Star Trek (original series), and played Atari 2600 while listening to Rush's Caress of Steel. It definitely helped the healing process.

      I did not do one this year, but I would probably be doing pretty good.  I would have had the Virginia upset, and I would have been all over Auburn over Iowa.  I have no idea how the committee had Iowa seeded higher.  I would not have picked Fairleigh Dickinson, but that would have been the most likely 16 seed for me as I am not a believer in Purdue.  I would have had TCU too, but probably would have had Iowa State instead of Pittsburgh.  Would have missed on Princeton for sure.

    Every Halloween I swear off buying the monster cereals (Count Chocula / Franken Berry / Boo Berry) and the following year there I go filling up my cart at the store. Poor Fruit Brute/Yummy Mummy got shafted again this year!

      I did not realize they released Fruit Brute and Fruity Yummy Mummy this year.  Might have to make my way to HEB and pick up that box.  I already finished off family size versions of Frankenberry and Count Chocula and picked up a Boo Berry yesterday.

      Whether it was planned this way or not, TMP has the best Spock arc.  He finally comes to grips with his human side in this movie thanks to V'Ger and he is forever changed.  His appearances after this do not have the Vulcan vs. human halves elements.

    Watched Back to the Future for the first time in many years. It held up really well, I caught a couple of little jokes I don't think I noticed when I saw it as a kid. My wife and son both liked it, too.

      I watched all three a few months back after having not seen them in over two decades easy.  Good movies and it was remarkable how much I remembered from the first two.  I must have watched those a ton in the '80s and '90s.

    I've never been a Toto fan, but I've recently grown to appreciate them, and watch their videos. They have a large band, but every individual is doing ALMOST NOTHING. They truly are the laziest bunch I've ever seen, and they do well.
