  1. I sent Dr. Morbis a message on VideoGameSage.com to swing by. Hopefully he shows up for you. He is pretty active over there, so I am sure he will see it. I knew I saw that name and avatar more than his post count on AtariAge indicated.
  2. I have this one: http://www.atarimania.com/catalog-atari-tigervision-_220_2.html, but there is a blank white page missing from the scans. Usually I would not think much of it, but since this one http://www.atarimania.com/catalog-atari-tigervision-_287_2.html has a scan of the blank white page, I figured this one should have it too. So that means the scan of the second Tigervision catalog on AtariAge is correct. It seems kind of strange to me that they printed a whole new version of the catalog for only one new game, but I guess they did. The descriptions for the first two catalogs are switched, and I think the Miner 2049er link in the third catalog should be for the 2600 version, and not the 5200 version.
  3. How can you tell he was not playing on game 4?
  4. The walls are a good thing? I did it accidentally, but I thought it was something bad.
  5. I refereed a kickball tournament yesterday for about 6 hours for free, and I will never do that again.  It is amazing how adults act sometimes.  I only got cussed out once, but I had players arguing with me plenty of times.

We've got a society full of adult children who have no control over their emotions.  Couple that with the entitlement mentality and we're screwed if it continues much longer.

Adult children? Sounds like them Adult Babies I hear about in creepier corners.

people are used to getting any and everything that they want, cant handle hearing no, dont like authority, rules dont apply to me, Im always right. its funny listening to my dad talk about going to school in the 50s and the nuns beating the shit out of them. I think it kept people in line

  6. The AtariAge catalog database has three Tigervision catalogs. The description of the first and second catalogs are reversed though, they need to be changed. I know @Albert is busy right now, but I figured I would still let him know. I finally got my first Tigervision catalog, and it does not match any of the three AtariAge has. Mine is almost exactly the same as the second, but it has Miner 2049er and a weird trademark page on the inside of the back cover. I was wondering if this was a different catalog, or maybe those two pages just did not get scanned and uploaded. Any thoughts on this? Lastly, on the last Tigervision catalog, AtariAge says that Miner 2049er in the catalog is the 5200 version, I am not sure that is correct, the part number matches the 2600 version. The only reason I am not 100% confident on that is because the description says multiple screens. On my catalog, the Miner 2049er description specifically mentions three screens which is exactly what the 2600 version has I believe. So maybe the multiple screens blurb does denote the 5200 version, but I do not think so. Anybody else have an opinion on this one? Edit: Tigervision did not do the 5200 version, Big Five Software released it. It has to be the 2600 version.
  7. Maybe I am reading this wrong, but I do not think Andrew Davie believes this game has run its course. It seems to me that this is more his commentary on where AtariAge looks to be heading. At least the store part of AtariAge.
  8. I scored 1,640 on Lost Luggage using the original green cartridge. I got 24,050 for Tapper, and 1,350 for Revenge of the Beefsteak Tomatoes.
  9. I went out of town for vacation this past weekend, but I am back at it. I have still not been able to beat T30 on Star Raiders, but I am consistently getting the targets down to single digits. My best so far is three ships left. I played through Ghostbusters a few times. The streams from the Ghostbusters do not seem to actually matter all that much. I just place the trap near the ghost, and try to catch it quickly. If the ghost is low, I will try to get a stream on top of it, but otherwise I just try to catch it with the trap. The most important thing is being able to drop the bait when the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man appears. Getting the $2,000 from that is where you can make good money, but losing the $4,000 is disastrous if you are on your first play through. I also pulled out Robot Tank. My best so far is 51, which is good enough for the Medal of Merit patch. I can see the Cross of Excellence patch in my sights, but the Star of Honor patch seems pretty far away.
  10. If the guy is somewhere in West Texas, he might be pretty close to me. Keep in mind just West Texas by itself is huge, and it still might be many hours from me. Of course I have no way of dumping it, but if I can help, let me know.
  11. This is amazing. It would be awesome if it was finished. I really hope it gets dumped.
  12. 135 for Skyhammer. Am I the only person that changed "hammer" into my name?
  13. I bought 4 Atari 8-bit computer games from adam242. They were shipped quickly and they all play great.
  14. I have a two year subscription and I was logged in.
  15. Wait, you got the subscriber discount? I did not get it.
  16. Unfortunately, he has not been on AtariAge in a little over two years. Who knows if he just moved on, or something else happened. Might be worth it to make a post asking if anybody knew him personally.
  17. I only had a few AtariAge games for the 2600 and 7800 before this sale, I had spent most of my AtariAge purchases on Jaguar games. I went ahead and grabbed Baby Pac-Man, Popeye, and Beef Drop VE (with HOKEY) for the 7800 and Halo and Gorf Arcade for the 2600. All with the box upgrade. There are a good dozen more that I really wanted. Heck, I did not even buy any 5200 games. I might end up making another order. If I do, the Last Chance 7800 HOKEY games might be my priority: Froggie, Pac-Man Collection, and Keystone Koppers.
  18. I am active on the forum and I buy from the store, but I rarely vote. Most of the time I have not played one single game in a category. Now if I have played something and I think it is worthy, I will vote, but even then I have never played everything up for an award.
  19. I did not notice that, but if AtariAge has made some kind of deal with Atari to sell officially licensed games, it is going to be hilarious.
  20. That is because WATA only makes money on the common games. If an Air Raid went for crazy money after being graded by WATA, there are no more Air Raids to graded. If ET goes for crazy money after being graded by WATA, then a ton of ETs get graded, and WATA makes money based on the value of the graded games.
  21. You are on the map screen, is that what you are talking about? You need the Video Touch Pad (or Keyboard Controller or Kid's Controller) to go to your cockpit view.
  22. The later NTSC releases did not have the overlays, so it makes sense that at least some PAL or SECAM releases were the same. In the US, the black and white manuals are indicative of the later releases that did not have the overlays. I do not know if there were color manuals in Europe, but if there were, then your black and white manual probably means you had a later release.
  23. There were a lot of games I wanted. My plan was to start buying up some homebrews I had missed since I stopped collecting non-Atari systems just last month. I guess I waited too long to narrow my focus. I grabbed Popeye and a couple of 2600 games, but that was it. Edit: Do we still get the 5% subscriber discount with these, or is the 10% last chance discount it?
