Just arrived in the last 20 minutes from Amazon UK.

    On a RGB modded PAL 2600, a PAL 7800 and a NTSC 7800, there's an annoying bug.

The robot explosion sound is 0.3 second behind the animation, it ruins the immersion.

This does not happen on the original Berzerk, or the 2002 Voice Enhanced version.

Guess it'll be on it's way back to Amazon.

I can live with 2/10 of a second delay, but 3/10 is probably a deal breaker.

But if I remember correctly, there were different sets of paddles that worked with different games. I have one set that had two paddles connected to a "Y" splitter that connected to only one game port, and then I had paddles that were single paddle controllers where it was one paddle and one wire.

I recall one of them had the tennis racket and some other sports implement crossed on it (in green / gold), and the other one had a racecar on it. I don't know which was which though, can't remember.

The single controller on one cord were the Driving Controllers and they only worked on Indy 500 (Sears Race).

  3. Atari put the Lynx game Super Asteroids & Missile Command on Antstream Arcade, and each game actually has a challenge.  The challenge for each is simply play the game for a high score, but still it is nice there is a challenge.  Not to brag, but I am currently in first place for both games.  My Super Missile Command score was actually my first attempt.

Antstream had to pull the Warner games (which include Atari Games, Williams, and Midway) off their service. It would be nice if this were a sign that Atari was buying them out from under them. I’m probably dreaming though.

I barely played Mortal Kombat, but I did put in quite a bit of time into Rampage.  Sucks to see Warner Bros. leave, but I have to say the response by Antstream is one of the best responses I have ever seen from a company.

As far as Warner Bros. potentially selling those games off, I doubt it of course, but if they were to sell would they need to pull the games off of Antstream first?  If pulling the games off of Antstream is a requirement, then we can certainly hope.  If Atari and Wade Rosen pulled this off, it would be hard to say anything negative about it and it would make news everywhere gaming related.

Oh man, I think I am going to have to pull the Veteran's Day card.  I mean you cannot deny a veteran on Veteran's Day, can you?

The we saw a jacket that can only be bought if the customer is willing to jump through some crypto buying bullshit to be eligible.

That is for one color. If you want the jacket, get it in one of the three other colors available to everybody. If that one color being unavailable to you is that big of a deal, then go through the process to be able to get it.

    2.  You are providing a service.  That means you have an agreement with the dev.  That means that you can stipulate, as part of that agreement, that they have to provide notice before yanking their stuff from the store to ensure your customers are able to exercise their right to retrieve what they paid.  Should have happened with every game after the Tailgunner incident, and apparently it hasn't happened with any.  You're sitting here acting like this is a situation that was completely unpreventable when it is not so.

It sounds like what happened to Atari with Tailgunner happened everywhere else too. As far as Alien Abduction, Atari may have been legally okay to keep the game on the store, and still.chose to take it down at the request of the developer, John Van Ryzin. Atari is probably erring on the side of keeping the developer happy, even if they have some wiggle.room.

Redownloading games that have been removed sounds like a hassle, but not that big of a deal. You can still do it, you just have to go through an extra step and it takes a little bit longer. I do not understand why that is making people as mad as it is.

@John Van Ryzin I hope you allow Atari to sell the game on the store again. It was on my list of games to buy, but I had not grabbed it yet.

it's just that I've heard from industry insiders that Warner would want a minimum $1m just to license some of those old games (each)

I know nothing about the pricing on licensing, maybe some of those game might be worth that. If Warner thinks some of the top games are worth that, I am sure they have different pricing for some of the less known titles. Maybe Atari could pry away some less marketable titles, like Blasteroids, Rampart, Cyberball, etc.
