  1. I still have not figured out my Puzzle Link. It has an ESRB rating and a part number of NEOP00291. The Neo Geo Pocket master list has the US version as #00121 and the sequel as #00291. I definitely have the first game and not the sequel. Is the master list just wrong on this game? Digital Press has #00541 for the first and #00761 for the second. I also picked up a US version of Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure for $8 today from a local game store. I have the European release, but I went ahead and picked it up anyway since that was the only Neo Geo Pocket Color game they had.
  2. The game is hard but doable. My copy is saved on the last mission with zero tombstones on the hill. I have never been able to get through all phases of that last mission without losing at least one soldier. Now that is frustrating. The game's guide is instrumental in proceeding through the game in a timely manner.
  3. I have been going through the games and checking out which releases I have. I have been using the part numbers from the Digital Press website and I matched every game except one: Puzzle Link. It has an ESRB rating so I figured it would be the US release, but the part number is not close. The part number is close to the one listed for the European version, but it has a number 1 at the end that Digital Press does not have. Does anybody have any idea about this? I aslo have a question about the color of the system. It says just Blue on the box and the blue colors listed on the web are Camouflage Blue, Platinum Blue, and Stone Blue. I am pretty sure it is not the Camouflage Blue, but I am not sure which one it is as I have not found the words platinum or stone anywhere.
  4. I bought a boxed Neo Geo Pocket Color, 5 boxed games, and 14 loose games for $40. I know nothing about the Neo Geo Pocket Color, but I am pretty sure I got a good deal. I am new to this system so I really do not know what I have. If there is only English on the cartridge does that mean it is an American release?
  5. I am still waiting on Golden Axe Warrior vs. The Legend of Zelda.
  6. I was liking it, until you had to go and bash the Jaguar's best horizontal shooter. Them's fighting words. Don't forget to post it on segamastersystem.com.
  7. I first got mine in February of '87 or '88. Maybe even '86. Unfortunately my AC adapter went out around '92 or so and I was unable to play it for over a decade. I finally bought a new adapter off of atariguide.com in 2005 or so. Amazingly my original system still works even though I took a hammer and screwdriver to the circuit board in a fit of rage so I could replace all of the switches.
  8. My thoughts on some of the games mentioned: Alien vs. Predator- I have completed the game with the Predator and have come very close with the Colonial Marine. Unfortunately the save does not help very much since all the enemies come back. I have never been able to get very far as the Alien. Evolution: Dino Dudes- I have completed all 80 levels in one sitting. I love this game. Although there are some levels on hard that I am not sure are possible. Dragon's Lair- Finished it. Space Ace-Have not finished it, but I have got pretty close to the end I believe. Towers II- I beat this one again recently. I wrote my own walkthrough for it. Rayman- I have no problem beating this game. I am in the process of writing a very detailed and long walkthrough for it and I have aspirations of speedrunning it. Bubsy in: Fractured Furry Tales- I have defeated the lobster boss just once in my life. In an attempt to beat the game in one sitting I threw about 40 lives at him and could not get past him. Iron Soldier II- I have beaten the game, but probably only on easy. Theme Park- I have made parks in a little over half of the locations. One day I would like to have built a park in every location. Syndicate- I have tried to get into this a couple of times and have not advanced very far. Braindead 13- I have never made it very far in this one.
  9. So the clues you get in Fireworld do not mean anything? That is disappointing. I just bought brand new sealed copies of Earthworld and Fireworld and a loose copy of Waterworld with instructions just to do a personal version of the contest. I guess it won't really affect the games themselves, but it is disappointing. On another note, if anybody knows where I can pick up a copy of the Waterworld comic and the hint sheet let me know.
  10. I thought about putting in something wrong just to mess with you perfectionists.
  11. The fourth and final one is done. http://www.sporcle.com/games/JeremiahJT/atari-2600-vcs-game-by-screenshot-4
  12. Got another quiz for you. Not a screenshot quiz, but a controller quiz. It is extremely difficult. Just warning you. http://www.sporcle.com/games/JeremiahJT/atari-2600-vcs-games-that-use-the-driving-controller
  13. I know, but that is the screenshot. Hopefully nobody ever misses that one. I am pretty sure it was released with both names. I will let a few more people chime in though in case I am wrong.
  14. Third one is up. http://www.sporcle.com/games/JeremiahJT/atari-2600-vcs-game-by-screenshot-3
  15. Is there a sixth team member who is secret, or is that just a placeholder for a future member?
  16. Already using atariboxed as a reference. Nice job.
  17. Second one is up. http://www.sporcle.com/games/JeremiahJT/atari-2600-vcs-game-by-screenshot-2
  18. Added another minute. I thought the time limit might be too short, but it is hard to tell when you take a quiz you created since you know all the answers. I think I am going to do some more, I'm thinking about doing all the games published by Atari and then maybe doing a third party quiz or two.
  19. Nice list. You have one of my favorites that usually gets left out, Video Olympics. Some of my favorites you omitted would be Warlords, 7800 Asteroids, and 7800 Centipede. You could get by with Asteroids and Centipede being arcade ports, but I believe Warlords was first developed for the 2600.
  20. It should be good to go now. Give a whirl!
  21. Got you. Working on it now.
  22. I just created a new 2600 screenshot quiz on sporcle. Let me know what you think. Suggestions, criticisms, etc... http://www.sporcle.com/games/JeremiahJT/atari-2600-vcs-game-by-screenshot
  23. Looks interesting. Are there any 2600 exclusive sites out there now? Most sites I know cover all Atari, but a site just dedicated to the 2600 would be welcome.
  24. I need to start picking up some homebrews, but I never seem to have the money for the short time they are usually available. I have a Jaguar CD, but I guess I would prefer cartridge releases. If only by the slimmest of margins.
  25. I tried to use it there, but it would not let me so I just jumped over the holes in the bridge. I wonder why it would not let me use it there.
