Highlander: The Last of the MacLeods Questions
jeremiahjt replied to jeremiahjt's topic in Atari Jaguar
I went through the game to the end of the canyon and the key you get is the Heavy Key. So that is one question answered. Anybody know any answers for the other three? By the way "there can only be one" does not refer to the number of posters allowed in this thread.- 5 replies

Retroscribe, rent cartridge games.
jeremiahjt replied to mkiker2089's topic in Classic Console Discussion
Any chance to expand the service to other systems? I know the four you have are probably the most popular, but I was curious about future plans. -
Is it some kind of shoot'em-up and that is the main ship?

Jaguar HSC Revamped, SEASON 6, ROUND 11
jeremiahjt replied to twoquickcapri's topic in Jaguar High Score Club
114,507. I just happened to be playing this game right now so I figured I would join in. -
After having Highlander for going on twenty years I finally decided to give it a real go. I have probably only played it for about 30 minutes combined before and never even made it out of the village. After spending some time with it and beating it, I think this is a pretty good game and I would like to see whatever was done with the sequels some day. I do have some questions that I thought some of you might be able to answer: I picked up the Wooden Plank outside the front gate of the village, but I never found a use for it. Does anybody know what it does? If you put in the code to get all the items then you get a Heavy Key. Does anybody know if you can get this in the game normally and if so where it is and what it is used for? This might be the key to open the gate at the end of the canyon that you get off of the gate guard, but I cannot remember what is was called. Is there any way to kill the snipers in the secret canyon path and in the energy dome? I just ran past them after my attempts to kill them with the gas gun proved ineffective. There is a gas gun and some food in the canyon behind the tank. Is there a way to get those without getting shot to hell by the tank? I figured it is a trap, but thought there might be a way to get them. Okay Highlander experts, let's see your knowledge.

16/32 Systems looks like they have it in stock. Did you try them?

The most annoying enemies in classic games
jeremiahjt replied to mbd30's topic in Classic Console Discussion
After playing Batman Returns on the Lynx tonight my immediate thought once reaching the second level was that I cannot believe I forgot how much of a pain the shotgun cops are. Honorable mention to the two different types of penguins on the fourth level. While not as annoying as the shotgun cops, they can put you in the water often enough. -
Are you talking about the items in the exit rooms or the items in the room you teleport to after finishing each of the tests? I do not remember getting anything in the other two exit rooms, but there may have been stuff. In the room you teleport to I remember a table full of black pearls and pearls of power, a spell, a hat, and maybe a wand and a sword.
-
I have never been able to do it. I try to not go around killing custodians just doing their job, but as far as I know you have to kill at least two to get the keys.
-
It runs out. It just says full until it gets down to a certain number then it says something different and it changes how it looks slightly also.
-
After all that then you have to go stand on the plate and kill all the marlands that show up when the wall disappears. If you kill all of them without stepping off the plate then the exit door unlocks. There is a note in the exit room that reads "You have past all the tests of the mage." Notice is reads past instead of passed. There are also a Wand of Annihilation and a Cloak of Mage in the room. I would say the Test of Magic is probably the hardest puzzle in the game. Although you do not have to use your own magic to kill the marlands. I used a Wand of Frost and it still worked. I also do not know where to find the spell that goes between Levitate Up and Aura of Death. I assume that the missing spell is the Lightning spell and that you can only get it if you play as Merton. Thanks for all your help SolutionZ!
-
If you cast the Wind Mastery spell in the room where the note is that is about fear, another note appears that reads "The presence has left, the test is past." The exit door is still locked though. Not sure what to do in the room with the plate.
-
Luckily I had my save still at the Test of Magic so I was able to fire it up. When you first teleport into the test there is a note on the ground that reads "To give four basic needs..." In the area where the magic missiles converge there is a note that reads "Asylum." In the room across from where the room with the switch you stand on there is a note that reads "Fear moves with the current, control it and it will pass." In the corner room across from the secret that shows you the game developers there is a note that reads "Victuals." In the room with the switch the note reads "Stay on plate until test is over!" If you create the three walls to keep out the magic missiles in the room where the "Asylum." note is, another note appears that reads "Shelter completed." If you create food in the room where the "Victuals." note is, another note appears that reads "Provisions accepted." That is two of the four basic needs, shelter and food. What are the other two?
-
Okay. There was one note about victuals and another about a home. Man, I do not know if ever would have figured that out on my own.
-
The thief gave you a hint for the first chain to pull and the punctuation gave you the last chain. You still had to trial and error the middle two.
-
I tried that, but I would die eventually. I tried creating the wall to serve as a shield also, but it never helped me pass it. There was a note about harnessing chaos or something that I thought might have something to do with it, but I could not figure it out.
-
You should respond in the thread I started so if anybody is ever searching the forum for the answer they can find it. It is on the first page.

When I was going through with Gerand I would do the hit and run and get back to a safe spot and sleep. Fortunately the monsters do not regain hit points when you sleep. At first I had to get all the way out of the air elemental area to rest, but after you start clearing those rooms you can rest there instead. SolutionZ, if you know Towers II so well why didn't you respond to my recent question about the Test of Magic? I was able to beat the game no problem, but I was trying to complete all three tests also. I thought maybe only Merton can win the Test of Magic.

I figured out dropping the boulder into the bottom right room to get the invincibility to get the metal bags hidden behind the fence full of fireballs. I have not figured out how to get the bags in the middle of the holes in the bottom middle room. In the left middle room you get the radiation suit to get the stuff in the bottom left room. Although I do not know what the umbrella does or what it is used for. I do not know what you are supposed to do in the top middle room or how to get to the top left room.

Second necro bump in as many days. I beat Shadow of the Beast last night and I wanted to add it to my list. Rygar Chip's Challenge Shanghai-all seven boards in one sitting Shadow of the Beast Sports games where I beat the opposition until they cry for mercy Tournament Cyberball 2072 NFL Football I also played a complete round of Robo-Squash finally and I had the higher score. I don't know if that counts.
-
Necro bump. I am working on level zero right now. I have some stuff figured out, but not everything. What was the purpose of this level? To give you some bombs to start level one? Maybe it was a tutorial type level to show you all of the different power-ups?

As the title suggests I am stuck on the test of magic in the library. The paper reads "Stay on plate until test is over!" which seems like simple instructions. When you get on the plate the wall disappears and four Marlands attack you. I assume you are supposed to kill the Marlands with magic. If you step off the plate before you kill them another door opens and releases the gargoyle looking things. I thought once you kill them they should drop a key or the exit door should unlock. Neither of those things happen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is called Mana Fyx. They also sale Magic: The Gathering stuff. If it would have had the long box I would have picked it up, but I already have a complete copy. There is a chance this is the same copy I bought from Walden Software back in the day. I returned because it wasn't working right and I'm sure they just put it back on the shelf.

A new game store just opened here in Lubbock and they have a huge Jaguar selection. All of it came from the same person. They had about 40 games and the system and the CD add-on. The owner said a woman came in and bought the system and cd add-on, a boxed Rayman, a boxed Alien vs. Predator, and then they gave her a boxed Primal Rage for half-price since she bought so much stuff. I picked up a boxed Hover Strike and a boxed Troy Amman NFL Football for Christmas and birthday presents for my brother-in-law for $15 dollars each. The best thing they have left is a jewel case Braindead 13 for $50.

Did you use the App or the website? I've heard the App is not very good, but I've never tried it.
