Extremely happy for Al. Cautiously optimistic for the future. Worried about what may be lost.

I’ve been looking around on the site so please forgive me if this has been answered elsewhere and also if I am out of line by asking: why is this happening? Why are so many games going away from the AA Store? AA has always been the premier publisher for home brew games for these platforms.

Finished it last weekend. Gannondorf took me about 10 tries and then I figured him out. Ended up only needing about half of the food I’d prepared to beat him. The third round I ended up getting super aggressive after other attempts at being careful were unsuccessful. Kicked his damn ass.

Took me a few hours to turn on my “Zelda brain” but now that it’s switched on I’m having a blast with this. There’s really nothing quite like a Zelda game from a pacing, exploration, and puzzle solving perspective. Nintendo really has some magic.

This is by far the best retro collection ever made imho. This is how you do a retrospective. A+ all around despite some obvious omissions as far as games go… telling the story of Atari is incomplete without 2600 space invaders, pac-man, e.t., and raiders, but this is still the best retro compilation there is.

Switch steelbook delivered this evening. Firing it up now with high hopes!

It’s $20/year. Literally pocket change so sure why not? What am I gonna spend that on? It’s less than a meal for my family at a fast food restaurant. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Between that and the microtransactions theres no way I'm going to be playing that game. Sad since I was looking forward to it, but I'm not going to contribute to trends I see as really hurtful to consumers.

While in general I agree with you, I've been playing Hades on my PS5 and its amazing. Granted, SuperGiant Games isn't your average indie developer. Everything they make is top notch (especially Bastion which was PS3/XB360 era).

Hey all. Looking to get rid of my VERY lightly used Retron 77. I have flashed it with Stella. The version iOS ob is 6.1 beta 2 (see image attached). Comes with the Hyperkin joystick as shown. You’ll need to provide the hdmi cord and the micro usb cord/charger as Hyperkin doesn’t provide those and I need the ones I have! I did a quick bit of digging and it looks like between the Hyperkin site, eBay, and Amazon these sell for $70-$75 new. I’m asking $65 shipped. Lemme know if you are interested or if that’s too damn high! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not really surprised by this given the Switch just might be my favorite Nintendo console of all time. Just barely edging out he SNES though it’s VERY close. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

How did you find out about The Crash(TM)?
Lord Helmet replied to Rodney Hester's topic in Atari General
Never new the crash existed. Went from the 2600 to the C64 to the NES and beyond. Probably read about it first when this site was the 2600 Nexus. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk -
I miss what used to be the yearly Xmas cart. I know it’s not really feasible to expect a developer to deliver an Xmas game on time each year, but man those were fun times! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

This one hurts. So many of his hacks are what drew me back into 2600 gaming after a long hiatus. He was always kind, and clearly had a real love for this hobby. He was a real asset to this community. I’m glad that his posts and roms will live on here at Atari Age. Condolences to his family and loved ones. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
