  1. quote The unit was very finished and looked brand new. Definitely not a hack job. The "© 1982 Infogrames" was just as much a part of the marquee as the Millipede/Centipede/Missile Command was. (ie, it wasn't a sticker or anything.) What truly galls me is that Infogrames doesn't use the Atari name when it should (arcade games that are OBVIOUSLY Atari's) and does use the name when it shouldn't (stamping Atari's name on their existing games.) Just seems like Atari can't get a break.
  2. I've tried a few archives from archive.org, but I was only able to get the covers and the first pages. None of the comic pages actually yielded any results. I need them just as soon as possible. I have some great ideas for this story and I want to strike while the iron is still hot!
  3. Does anyone out there have these? I'm working on a new project concerning SwordQuest and I want to make sure I stick to the existing story. The only site out there that I thought might have them is http://www.tripoint.org/sq/sq.html but that site is gone... If you have the comics, I'd really appreciate it if you could tell me where to find them and/or email them to me at greg@ataritimes.com Thanks!
  4. Went to Disney-MGM tonight (mainly to ride the Aerosmith rollercoaster... Fun, but too short.) Anyway, I went into the arcade (Pizza Planet) and saw a way cool 3-in-1 arcade unit that had Centipede, Millipede, and Missile Command in it. Nowhere on the cabinet did I see the Atari logo or even the WORD Atari on it. You know what I saw instead? © 1982 Infogrames Interactive Now, WTF is all this about????? --Greg
  5. I know that Ewok Adventure was recently released as a ROM. Were there any other games (for the 2600 or 5200) that were announced but unreleased? Such as the one depicted in this photo? http://www.toysrgus.com/images-packa/reven...ideo-games.html Thanks, --Greg
  6. I've only had my 5200 for a year (it was last years Christmas gift from my lovely wife) but my favorite game is definitely: QIX Other ones I like include: Ms. Pac-Man Vanguard Missile Command (with tracball baby!) Berzerk (awesome voice) Super Breakout Moon Patrol My least favorite games are Football and Tennis. BTW, I also think the 5200 cart design was the best ever for any Atari system. --Greg
  7. BTW, there is a "new" version as of a couple of days ago. The only changes are in the INFO section and I added a "SCORING" section to the README.TXT file. Other than that, it's the same. BTW, you can check what version you have by pressing the "V" key on the title screen. --Greg
  8. STeem is probably the best, as it runs at the normal ST speed. GEMulator is good too, but it runs at the top speed of the PC, and I can't find a way to slow it to the ST's speed. PacifiST is good, but it has slow loading times. I did get it to work with WinSTon, so I'm not sure what problem you are having with it. WinSTon's problem has more to do with disk access. You may see an "Error 52 at line 8510" (like the classic Atari Basic errors!) Anyway, Four-F does work with the emulators. STeem and GEMulator are the best choices. --Greg
  9. Dum dee dum dee dum... Just wondering if an ST fans have played my STOS game... If so, what did you think? Don't worry, I can take it! You can get it from my site at www.ataritimes.com.
  10. My favorite 5200 emulator is Atari800Win. It plays 5200 games as well as Atari 8-bit computer games. VSS is pretty good too, but it's for DOS which means you'd need to find a front-end or write dozens of .BAT files. --Greg
  11. Shoot, I'm just glad to have a Jag CD, Battlesphere, JUGS, Aircars, Skyhammer, Protector, Breakout 2000, Towers II, Zero 5, and some other semi-rare Jag games. Oh, and I'll probably be getting a new dev toy soon. :-) --Greg
  12. What do you use to hack these roms? A hex editor? Maybe someone should write a 2600 rom hacking program??
